  1. I did get a birthday gift after all! Robert got here Wednesday evening, and we caught up at Etho's Vegan kitchen. On Thursday we trained at a gym, and then went to Garden cafe, and then checked out the Central Florida Veg Fest preview party. It was alright, but not many people. The person that organized the event didn't even know we were there! That was kind of funny. I'm not sure what to say about the entertainment/music. Uhm, it was entertaining? Tonight Orlando is having its first vegandrinks meetup at 7pm. I don't know if we should have had that the night before Veg Fest. I don't want to see vendors tomorrow not being able to function.
  2. Haven't done anything today! I'm exhausted so maybe it's a good thing I'm taking it easy. Boy keeping up with Robert is tough!!!! Always doing something.
  3. Wednesday- Birthday= No Gym! Thursday- 915am- 20 minutes on precor back was hurting a bit, but it was better when I finished 10am- bagel w/ small amount of vegan cream cheese, coffee 11am- run- got lost and turned around running around a lake, but went further than i originally thought i would so that was good 2- burritos Later today- training with Robert at a gym that i've never set foot in, adventure time! Trained with Robert at gym! It was fun, did tons of rows, shoulder presses, lateral raises, some deadlifts, etc. I was a bit worried about my back because it was still hurting a tiny bit. But I started very very very light, and worked my way up. Back felt fine, got up to 60 pounds on lat pulldown, could have done more but didn't want to push it. 50 pounds on seated cable rows. Fun times!!!!!!!
  4. I only met up with Robert last night, and the guy already has me flexing and posing in front of the camera!
  5. Well today is my birthday. Not really sure what to expect. I'm going to breakfast with my mom- Drunken Monkey of course! Later today we'll pick up my vegan birthday cake which sounds out of this world. The vegan bakery that opened this year has over 1,000 flavors, I looked at the short list of flavors. Decided on a chocolate marzapan mocha cake with chocolate butter cream icing. The woman also said she doesn't dump loads of sugar on everything so I don't think it will be sickeningly sweet. We shall see. Of course I'm buying my own birthday cake, but at least I'm getting one! Oh yeah Robert might get to Orlando today too! But that will probably be late tonight! If memory serves me corectly the estimated travel time from South Carolina to Orlando will be around 11 hours or so. 5 hours for SC, 3-4 for Georgia, then around 3 from Jacksonville to Orlando. I've traveled a few times from DE- FL with my family.
  6. 845am- ran for 2 miles- Not an easy run because my legs felt like they were running through mud. I think for now on I will try to run on Monday mornings, instead of Tuesday mornings, because spinning just exhausts my legs. 930am- berry almond luna bar, banana, coffee
  7. VEGAN shorts, yeah!!! Can't beat those.
  8. No weight training today but just moved a heavy ( ) table! 430 pm-Spin class was absolutely brutal! There was one point where we had a very high level of resistance about an 8, and had to go all out for 10 seconds, then recover 45 seconds, and repeat 10 times. Another part of the class we had about a level 6 resistance, and had to keep increasing our intensity on the bike for up to 2 minutes. My legs didn't want to go down steps after that class. And it was 45 minutes long. Breakfast at Drunken Monkey 9am- coffee, raisin bagel w/ vegan cream cheese, small muffin Lunch- 330pm- vegan hotdog, black beans Dinner- Amy's Quarter pounder, rice, tomato Snack- toast and tea
  9. Took 2 classes today, and had a major fight/argument with my brother. I think I will post about my amazing workout, and my food intake. 745- coffee, banana, Barbara's vegan strawberry bar 1230pm- banana 1pm- Step class burned lots of calories! 2pm- chocolate macadamia luna bar 3pm- Body Pump- increased the squat track to a 50 lb barbell, and yes I did hit my head getting it off my back and to the ground. Felt pretty strong, increased my back weight by 5 pounds, and almost got through the chest track without going to failure Rest of the class was pretty much the same, except when I got to abs. When we got on our mats on the floor I got a serious cramp in my left side. But after a minute or so I relaxed, and I was able to finish the class. That has never happened to me before in a class. It was a weird feeling.
  10. Ha ha! My biceps are probably one of my more defined muscle groups, they may be small, but they are there.
  11. Of course where else would I be! Well I might sneak off to buy some vegan treats, lol.

  13. Ok, my last post wasn't very well thought out, and it was longwinded too! In a nutshell my post was about losing that last 10 pounds, and how hard it is. I can't help it I am accustomed to eating food, and like to eat food. So that is a problem right there. I hope to add Vega back into my diet on a more consistent basis. I always falter with dropping the last 10 pounds because I know it lies in my nutritional intake.
  14. Saturday 915- half a medium banana 930am- Zumba 1045- weighed myself, lost one pound, after all the pasta I ate this week it's a miracle! 1115am- Breakfast at Rhapsodic Vegan bakery- coffee, vegan cheese biscuit, blueberry scone
  15. Friday- 845am- Run! It was a good one too. I'm not sure about the timing, but I felt good, and ran a bit more than a 5K distance. 930am- coffee, banana, Barbara's strawberry bar (used to be Natures Choice, but Barbara's bought them and now the bars are half the size) 1pm- Amy's Enchilada meal (vegan) 7pm- Amy's vegan pasta meal (watching some kids for a friend and she bought me a microwaveable meal, and of course it was pasta!)

  18. 9am- 1/2 hour precor machine 10am- oatmeal, coffee 2pm- Amy's Vegan Pot Pie 7pm- pasta (too much pasta this week!!!)
  19. I'd say RC is in Boston, near a college!
  20. 9am- blueberry oatmeal scone, coffee, small breakfast wrap w/ tofu 12pm- went for a noon run!!!!! Yikes, it was a hot one too!!! I lasted almost 40 minutes I believe, and think it was about 3 miles, haven't mapped it yet. 2pm- pasta w/ marinara sauce and black olives 9pm- vegan hotdog, black beans, tomato
  21. I made a major mistake moving back in with my family. My mom, and my two nieces are fine, but it's my brother and his 18 year old girlfriend that are not! I have never had anyone disrespect me, or heard anyone disrespect my mom the way that my brothers girlfriend does. About a week or so ago she did this just to me, and I told her nicely, or at least nicer than she was acting to not talk to me that way. She then informed me that she could talk to me however she liked because she makes more money than I do. I was in shock, and still wasn't over the whole scene. Then tonight after my mom picked up my two nieces at daycare and I was also in the car, traffic was a nightmare. It literally took 2 hours to go the span of 4 miles or so. There was a big accident on the freeway, and the backup was for miles. Anyway my brother didn't say much, but wasn't happy that we were going back out to the gym. Then she starts in about always going out every night this week. I said it's only Tuesday, well she didn't like that. It seems that things are fine when they need money, but now that they are both working they don't need us for anything. Well my mom is just about as fed up as me, and it takes a lot for that to happen. At least I gave it my all in Body Pump, I know the instructor who is also a friend knew I was upset about something, so I took it out on the barbell! The start of the day was great though, and neither my mom nor me said or did anyhting to warrant that kind of mean hateful behavior. I submitted the application for my top college choice. So I was in a good mood. I think eerything might be alright after all. My brothers gf sincerely apologized, she nwas very upset with herself. I mean when she was yelling at us we had neighbors looking a bit concerned. Anyway I will give her another chance, and hopefully that'll be that!
  22. I've been busier than ever since leaving work! More time on my hands of course, but that time is all being used. This week I am submitting my application to the college that I really really want to attend. It is through my church, so the odds of getting in are in my favor. The next couple of weeks will be even busier! Next week is my birthday, the next day R.C. arrives, and Saturday 23rd is Veg Fest. The next week will be full of work outs I am sure! Then on the 27 I am going to St. Pete/Tampa for a hockey game, and to see a person I know that is conducting the Florida Orchestra. Then of course there is Halloween!
