Sugarsnap peas, Broccoli, and turnips, and the beets are on the other end of the garden. As you might notice it well past the time I should have thinned the seedlings out, so I will have to do that today. You can't see most of the pea plants because I used a bunch of old seeds in Sept., so I had to replant later on because of poor germination rate. They are there you just can't see them behind the broccoli. I live in an area were you can grow vegitables all year long, of course you couldn't grow summer veggies right know only hearty winter veggies.

These are the plants on my balcony. The first picture is my cat posing next to the only plant that is currently edible, my green onions. He likes to taste test them once in a while. Some of the other plants are potentially edible; there are some strawberry plants mixed in with the flowers in one of the pots and the plant at the far end is a very small banana tree. Indoors and not pictured, I have a rosemary tree, an agave plant, and an aloe vera plant.

And I'm very proud of the fact that I haven't killed any of these plants. Yeah! (I have a long dark history of not being able to keep plants alive for long...)

Nice pics all around and i'm particularly impressed with your garden VeganJoe Green Thumb! Cannot wait to plant this april and have a real deal garden in our backyard! Going to go all out.

For now, we have a sprouter and i took some sprouts and potted them, they're doing ok. Going to nurse them and make others too and have a cute little indoor garden from produce seeds.

Our Windowsill from left to right:

Chickpea from several raw chick pea seeds, baby sunflower seed sprouts that almost died and are slowly regaining breath and pumpkin seeds from the inside of our carved halloween pumpkin that grew! I wanna be Jack the pumpkin king! Even though I prefer to be called Giacomo

Forgot I had this around the side of the house when I transplanted them a couple of months ago to keep the out of full sun while taking root.

I want to get a large fired decorated clay pot later to keep them in permently.

I will have to post some garden goodies here soon when I get my winter garden going. I live in Tucson AZ, we have two growing seasons. Tomatoes grow fantastic here but I have to build a whole cage around them because the birds love to eat them. Pretty much I can grow anything but strawberries (bummer) but have a problem with the critters. The rabbits and ground squirrels will eat anything green. Love the new shoots the best of course. We lost a ton of products last year because of this, even with a fence, so we are doing things different this year. I am planting seeds as soon as I can till the garden. Probably within the next two weeks. Our ground squirrels are hibernating now so once I can get the plants large enough they won't eat them. We already fixed the fence problem with the rabbits (I Hope lol)

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind sharing with the critters but they don't leave much lol But then heck this is the desert, where else are they going to get yummy beet greens If i can find some clover seed going to pant the rabbits a little garden just for them

I still have time to plant by seed, Beets, Peas, onions, radishes, carrots, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and spinach. Then in March it will be time to plant stuff like Melons, cucumbers, corn, okra. lots and lots of peppers and tomatoes. Getting excited about the garden again. We lived in an apartment for 5 years until buying our property out in the desert country. Now have a huge huge garden that is all hooked up to a trip line water system. Need now hoses though.
