If you're dying in a hospital using resources some board made up of bureaucrats whether they work for the state or a private company are going to decide its not cost effective to keep you alive. My feeling with health care is you just don't get what you pay for.

As someone who's going to need a half a million dollar transplant,

 

I don't agree.

 

 

As for the girl, yes it's sad but she had multiple organ failure (kidney, liver) AND leukemia. Her chances of survival were likely pretty slim. Livers available for transplant are extremely hard to come by, so prioritizing is an unfortunate necessity. Hopefully that can change at some point.
