  1. What the F*******************CKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK kind of B**** S****************** is that? A big strong man feels threated by two beagles THAT WERE ADMITTEDLY BEHIND A FENCE because they "growled" at his evil ass?????They probably sensed he was an A-HOLE and felt threatened by HIM, not the other way around. See it is stories like this that make we want to become a prosecutor, even better, judge. Just 90 days? See s***t like this makes me want to perpetrate physical violence upon a person.
  2. Okay so, assuming that was recent, she OBVIOUSLY she isnt vegetarian and peta f***ed up on that one too. Yup, consumerfreedom website is BS as it is a front group for the tobacco, alcohol and meat lobby - BUT they have her on tape saying "everything is good with [tortured intelligent animals - i.e. pigs]" so obviously that part isnt bull shit - she aint a vegetarian. **** moron. I never liked her anyway - something about her never really sat well with me. Her co-star Joaquinn Pheonix would be ed if he heard that tape. Ellen is also a morally weak pathetic sell out. "I am vegetarian as long as I can be..." Being vegetarian, and even VEGAN, when you have money coming out of your ass like that is EASY AS PIE!!!!!
  3. How does it taste compared to "regular" chocolate? Very curious. Also, I noticed that veganessentials sells "raw" parm fake-cheese. Again, what would something like that taste like and what exactly makes it "raw". Sorry - i am really ignorant on the concept of "raw vegan". But are becoming increasingly fascinated.
  4. All can be found at www.veganessentials.com And finally, to all those like me that prefered "milk" chocolate to dark chocolate, may I present a VEGAN "milk" chocolate bar:
  5. hey denise, how about these? They seem more low key to me then the brighter yellow ones?
  6. cross post JW!!! They are VEGAN (YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and from awesome veganessentials online store. Just click on link above, sit back, and browse. So which of the ones that I posted do you like best? Hmm...perhaps a pole is in order here. By the way after YEARS, i just moments ago finally figured out how to insert images in a post so that calls for a celebration
  7. I really like the first one and the third one. Especially the combination of blue and orange in athletic gear. I love that colour combo. I love the colour blue, in all its various shades (except pastal colours. Dont like washed out colours). Anyway, which ones do you guys like, if any? These are all from the awesome folks at veganessentials. Cant wait to go shopping bigtime online at veganessentials when I get my first paycheck in what seems like forever. You can see the other styles and colours at www.veganessentials.com
  8. I was only inquiring about the concept "blood diamonds". I have no intention of spending money on something so unnecessary. I'd rather donate my (non-existant) money to sea shepherd and the like. tell me more about Sierra Leone - i have np clue about the fight over diamonds there
  9. I recall reading from an article by Brendan Brazier that you can actually de-age your body by what you eat, and that what you eat now will literally be what your cells are made of 8 months from now or something like that.
  10. What is wrong with diamonds? Very ignorant in the area of what it takes to retrieve and process precious stones like diamonds and what not. So how come I have heard vegans refer to diamonds as "blood diamonds"? Are diamonds vegan? And please dont tell me to just google it. I am technology averse. I barely know how to post online and turn my computer on. Let the education begin (on the unethicalness of diamonds, I mean. Not how to google something ) ....
  11. 1. Veal 2. lobster 3. foie gras Surprised anybody? you shouldnt be. This is a woman who had room in her home and heart for 5 dogs - ALL OF WHOM came from precious pure bred breeders. Didnt even have room in her heart to save one shelter animal with all that cash. And she keeps inviting back to her show a notorious DOG vivisectionist even though peta has sent her footage of him and his gruesome experimentation on the objects of her affection. oh no- i stand corrected. we all know she doesnt give a flying f** about any other dogs except her 5 precious pure breeds. Good luck getting her to care about a lobster then.
  12. I used to like Ellen Degeneris because 1) she appears to love animals, 2) has spoken out against fur, and 3) also againt the animal testing of Gillette. But she says to Alicia Silverstone: "I have been a vegetarian at times in my life, for as long as I could go, but then 6 pm comes and I need a burger." ** audience laughs**** as if there is anything funny about the very real torture of animals and the treatment of veals calves. What a sell out she is.
  13. Your daughter is so damn cute. How old is she? Does she look like her momma? So that means that all four kittie siblings wont ever really be separated from each other and all four have found loving and secure homes for life? And your big human and non human family has just grown to offer more love? Holy crap i am so happy about that! This calls for a celebration!! P.S. Big, I dont know if you know anything about this or not, but PLEASE dont ever even consider declawing them. It is like amputating the first joint in your finger - it is NOT just a matter of "pulling the nail from the root." It is amputation plain and simple. If you keep their nails trim and provide lots of scratching posts at an early age, all should go smoothly. Sorry if the above has offended you - i know you would never mutilate oor otherwise hurt any animal. But I just had to say it because many people dont realize the true nature of that operation.
  14. Yup - any failure to wash hands under circumstances where hand washing is dictated by common sense is a pet peeve of mine. The first thing I do when I get home is whas my hands before I touch anything in my apartment. Friends describe my apartment as a sterile bubble - and I love it like that. UNTIDY as hell and very disorganized, but very sterile.
  15. ya, maybe try crashnburn's approach. Dont tell me that your vegan until AFTER you win, and then, let 'em have it those ignorant, threatened, intimidated morons They're probably all financial stakeholders in a corporation that "processes animal protein" hence the brilliant and helpful advice.
  16. that is just beyond being sick!!! It is beyond me how people can see this on a daily basis and not have SOME sort of feelings. Like the scene in Peaceable Kingdom where the farmer has an epiphany after "connecting" with a cow. Just the slightest bit of compassion, the smallest bit of empathy.....that's all it should take!!! makes you wonder.... Is the human race THAT insensitive, gullible and incapable of empathy? Or maybe we are dealing with sheer stupidity and ignorance coupled with a dose of gullibility and apathy?
  17. I'm picking up my vegan chocolate cake with smurf blue frosting Thursday afternoon actually. I was right on it the second I discovered them! Plans to return to the gym and resume the discipline I once had (a Loooonng time ago) has been delayed all for the blue.
  18. Same here . It is DISGUSTING. People should wash their freakin hands with soap after they do their washroom business, whether at home or in public restrooms. This is a huge pet peeve of mine and something I just cant compromise on in a future boyfriend or husband. Wash your freakin hands people! Tarz went to the island of Goa.
  19. oh ya - and post more pics please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Just moved by you and your wife's kindness. I love that pic of your daughter with the little kitten. I love parents who teach their kids to be compassionate towards all animals - thgat just jokes me up man. So Big - how is your doggy likin' the lil kittens? Hope he doesnt think they are dinner?? Even if he just wants to play, he might accidentally hurt them? Anyway, it would be really cool if and when you do find them a home, if they could be adopted out together?Or maybe two and two ? The separation and break up of animal families breaks my heart. Anyway, thanks for being the fairy god mother of these lil kittens. They may have died without you! And I hope the a - hole who dumped tham and left them dead gets what is comin to him - and I sure as hell hope that the mommy cat isnt his "pet", cuz anybody that has the heart to leave kittens to die in the bushes is an a-hole and who knows what else he is capable of. he probably beats the crap out of his pets if he has any.
  21. "The worst account of veal operations that I've heard is the one in Meat Market when Erik Marcus talks about the veal calf auctions. He describes how the calves often come into the auction ring with their umbilical cords still attached to their bellies and nervously seem to be searching for their mothers. And how they've nuzzled his finger as they look him in the eye." If you arent vegan, you are likely supporting this. Go vegan.
  22. "The veal calves are orphans, separated from their mothers against their wills when two days old. Anyone should instantly recognize this as cruel. What could be more viscerally mean than taking a baby away from his mother? Both mother and baby often wail - I would call it crying - in reaction to the separation. Cows are naturally doting and protective mothers who lick, clean, nurture, and nuzzle their calves. They provide all the benefits and joys of parenthood to the developing calves for months. Other female members of the herd typically assist with mothering and nurturing activities. A calf may remain close to his mother for years. The environment I just described - not an isolated, motherless veal crate - is a safe, comforting, and natural way in which a young calf grows up to be an adult. Veal calves have no opportunity to walk around. They have no pasture in which to graze. They are denied their mothers' milk - both the nutrition and the bonding experience. They are fed an iron-deficient formula that makes their flesh turn pale. This is done for purely economic reasons. The lack of exercise, and, in all likelhood, the stress and loneliness of their imposed impoverishment, produces a creature who is weak, who craves iron, who acts frightened - instead of a healthy, confident cow, with the companionship and health benefits of a herd. The slotted floors may be "efficient" but they are uncomfortable. Try standing all day on one. Animals, like humans, are designed to stand, sit, walk, and lie down on sold ground, not grating. How dare the USDA describe any facet of a veal stall as "natural." The calves are isolated, orphaned, restricted, fed a nutritionally deficient diet, denied nearly every social and physical activity that they would enjoy in a natural environment. They are denied the most basic necessities - space, a mother, a herd. They are even denied practically all ability to make a decision, to think. Veal crates are torture; that's why they have been banned in Europe. The USDA is chartered with promoting agriculture. The Agriculture commiittee in Congress is filled with people who have ties to agribuisiness. Their statement on veal calves is an utterly ing lie. No one in their right mind would confine their dog to such a contraption - for life. If they did, they would almost certainly be charged with animal cruelty, and possibly convicted of a felony. Like many others on this forum, I have seen more than enough footage and read more than enough eyewitness accounts of veal crates and the pitiful creatures condemned to them to know that the whole concept of veal is unconscionably cruel."
