  1. Oh, my...http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/Raven_PZ/SMILEYS/Reg/Blink_flirt.gif Okay, okay, you got me; you win...{showoffs...} Oh, wait! That's not a video I take it back. We need to see the action, fellas, 'kay? This does nothing for us. Maybe, but it's not video ...Could this be posed?? Admittedly, it looks very Rocky II-ish ... I say rematch (on video) to confirm the validity of this photograph. Is that jonathan? { ...looks to be straining ...I'm just sayin...} ------- wanna, who? Me?? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v391/Strixy/Smileys/dribble-drool.gif Hey, it seems to have worked ------ Heaven's to Murgatroid, Will! ?? ---- Hey, and who won??
  2. Ah, let's see... Will, throws a Snagglepuss and makes a quick --->Exit, Stage http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/Raven_PZ/SMILEYS/Reg%202/left.gif (despite the new pumped-arms avatar...perhaps some image retouching ?) Wanna, brags big, then when hit up, exclaims he has no camera ... awww BUT! Then he claims to be some Master of some unverifiable game online. And now...now he resorts to his highschool psychology and tries to distract by turning it around and making it about my "arm wrestling fetish" to which I object: it is NOT an arm wrestling fetish. {...it's a forearm fetish http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/Raven_PZ/SMILEYS/Reg%202/tongue_perv.gif} Meanwhile, back at the ranch, bronco thinks he can still use the old "I'll-joke-my-way-out-of-it-and-they-just-won't-notice" routine, which by now is about as effective as buzz's photo shoppery. And, yea,it's hard to video arm wrestling but not big sweaty guys lifting pieces of wood. Hmph. Well, seems like fear to me. Guess you aren't up for real tough challenges. Have a good day, Gentlemen
  3. Pft! You mean you need to do grip exercises for that?? Ah, apples!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v391/Strixy/Green_apple.gif My weak spot Got a video of that? Hey, so I notice none of the strongmen of VBB are up for an ON-CAMERA arm wrestle, aye? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v391/Strixy/Smileys%20Action/propeller.gif

    Juicing

Oh No! Why not just use the greens whole?!? You will get much more nutrition that way. (except for wheatgrass; it needs to be juiced) Read this page,HERE (click and read the links), then scroll down a few posts to my description, pics, and suggestions. Green Smoothies Rule! Otherwise, use pulp in baking, add to cereals, bean-or-other burgers or patties, dry and grind for a seasoning.
  5. Hey, wanna, so where's your video then??! And, since we're on the subject of showing off... I love watching arm wrestling -- any of you compete (for fun or otherwise)? I propose y'all start posting some videos of arm wrestling instead of all this trash talkin'! I'm not sure I believe any of it. Besides, who knows how tight those grips really are? I mean, they can be like scissors for all we know. Let's see all that grip-strength or else, y'all are just bragging...
  6. So this is for forearms? hand strength? finger strength? What is the purpose of it, really? Do you all go rockclimbing? Don't tell me it's just to show off
  7. Jay, are you all settled yet? Miss ya
  8. Yes, you can eat beans and greens daily and get more than enough protein! Add greens to smoothies or have a couple cups of beans a day, have some nuts everyday. All this is enough. Protein supplements aren't "needed"; you get enough eating a balanced diet. I recommend Dr. Fuhrman's Eat To Live plan, which outlines an optimal diet that takes care of all your nutritional needs, as well as helps you achieve "nutritional excellence" as he likes to call it ----- "Basically, the goal of Eat to Live is to eat foods that have a very high nutrition to calorie ratio and avoid foods that don't provide much nutrition for the calories they contain. Fruits and vegetables pack the most nutrition, so the diet is based on them. The goal is to try to eat at least 1 pound daily of raw vegetables; 1 pound of cooked, non-starchy vegetables; 4 servings of fruit; and 1 cup of beans. Those foods are unlimited. The plan limits other foods: 1 cup maximum of starchy vegetables or whole grains, 1 ounce of raw nuts and seeds, and 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds. All animal products and refined oils are off limits, and refined grain products, such as bread, are not encouraged. After a person has reached a healthy weight, very limited amounts of less-healthy food may be added in (for those who absolutely will not give them up.){raVen's note: and this applies to those who do not need to lose weight, more can be added of any of the limited foods, preferably the healthier ones} ...Dr. Fuhrman says that beans provide more nutrition (not just protein, but micronutrients and phytochemicals) per calorie than grains and potatoes do ...Fuhrman says that the good fats in (unroasted, unsalted) nuts and seeds are important. One more difference is that Fuhrman doesn't limit fruit... Fuhrman does say to stay away from dried fruit until you've lost all the weight you need to." -Excerptor from fatfreevegan.com (lots of Fuhrmanesque recipes) Dr. F. has an excellent blog, called, DISEASE PROOF with tons of free nutritional info and his comments on the latest nutritional news, etc. The archives are an invaluable resource! Here is Dr. F.'s SITE
  9. I agree he may be a scumbag, but even scumbags deserve their day in court. Proved guilty = loses rights -- okay; he still deserves to eat.
  10. A decent attorney would counsel him to eat what vegan food is available and continue his protest -- he doesn't need to starve (to death) to make his point or to continue a suit. A doctor to monitor his (inevitable) declining health on the minimal foods (vegan) will also further his message. His grandstanding on this will only antagonize onlookers; he has to gain sympathy not antipathy. He should be allowed vegan foods. John Lee Malvo complained the prison he was held did not make the meat according to his Muslim faith; so he was given a vegetable loaf (which, consequently, he complained made him ill). The same change should be afforded to a vegan for whom consuming flesh is unethical.
  11. Have you heard Five's cover of 'We Will Rock you' Raven? Truly atrocious. The worst part of it was is that Brian May and Roger Taylor make an appearance. Old Freddie be turnin in his grave....... No, but sounds like I don't want to. I recently saw a televised concert of Queen with Paul Rodgers singing (with May and Taylor). They were performing as "Queen" -- more like jesters to me. I don't hate him, but, really, Queen songs should just be left alone. I can't think of anyone I'd like to see sing for Mercury.
  12. I already have naturally big hams (and calves). Well, they are shaped and protrude, even without exercise. If I do weights for legs, they get really big (for my size, anyway). On a shorty like me, it doesn't look right; I'll look even shorter But bigger butt? Yep! I could deal with it!
  13. You're welcome, Martin. Sorry for your family. Such a tragedy and such a shameful situation today . You don't have a location under your name, but, you may want to check if your area is commemorating it. My city, Los Angeles, does every year. As well, check this link (or call your local officials) for a list to see if your country or state acknowledges the genocide. And encourage them to do so!! Unfortunately, my country does not, officially but my state does. Link for Wikipedia info on the genocide of Armenians "However, this academic recognition has not always been followed by governments and media. Many governments, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, Ukraine, and Georgia, do not officially use the word genocide to describe these events, due in part to their strong political and commercial ties with Turkey... Scroll down to "Official Recognition" to read more.
  14. Won't this make your hamstrings larger? I don't want mine any bigger; but I wouldn't mind a fuller behind
  15. CRISPY Q!!! You're back!! Hey, I was wondering what happened to you I thought there's no way she's gone back to omni Good to see ya Thanks about the avatar! It's awful. Like Crash, I haven't followed them in several years, but it always peeves me when I've wasted my time or money Makes you wonder, even when they were supposedly doing good, if they they were hiding something When it comes to animal issues, all my brain power turns to brain powder...I tend to give groups working for animal issues or the environment the benefit of the doubt and let my heart rule my wallet . I've only regretted giving a couple times to jerks (like PeTA and one other who didn't deserve it), but I didn't know any better at the time Once I do find out, they don't get my support any longer, to say the least. From what I remember, Sierra Club used to do great work Watson stayed longer than I would have, though. This one's for you, Crispy: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/Raven_PZ/Shooteachotherb320x240.jpg Maybe we can send this to Cheney & Co
  16. Dude, you're out of control, have I seen anyone cooler? Heck yea: http://spazioinwind.libero.it/electropolis/menwithouthatsband.jpg
  17. I had no idea Sierra Club had fallen so far... I used to send them a lot of donations Interesting comic: I guess its caption could read, "Hypocrisy" I'm not really sure what they're saying, but that's what it looks like to me. Anyone?
  18. Whoop-de-doo I did three static holds in 10 minutes...
  19. No. The reason people gain weight is because they consume more calories than they burn, that's it. The fact that it's late at night when they consume the excess is why they want to blame it on that instead of the food . When told not to eat late at night to lose weight, it's just a way of saying not to eat those extra calories. If you eat them any other time of the day, you'll gain weight too; it's just the night time that people seem to get the munchies. It's not wise to eat right before bed, supposedly, because it is a bit hard on the digestive system, though. I guess we should give it a rest too .
  20. Any cover of Queen is blasphemy. It sucked
  21. Can you guess? I have no clue, but it looks like it might hurt What is THIS? - That link above it sucks
  22. I don't see a conflict either. I'm always surprised to hear people come down exclusively on one side. How do we know anything in this life?? I think life, this world, universe (and who knows what else) is so huge, so beautiful so complex, that "facts" are mere theories to me at this point. What's a fact today is rubbish tomorrow anyway (or maybe not...). I think those two theories can be true; as well, what other possibilities have we not thought? I remember wondering if animals go to heaven when I was a child, and thinking they must -- how unjust if they didn't, I thought! They had to To some it may seem silly, but I've always loved trees and, if it were discovered they have some sort of thought or consciousness, I would not be shocked. I don't feel guilt or anything when I eat plants, though I guess I feel a little guilt when I get cut flowers It is, at the very least, wasteful, and environmentally detrimental. They are so beautiful to be around, though; I think living flowers are a good alternative . To make me even sillier (or weirder), I love to talk to plants and trees There was a new "Big Foot" video a couple weeks ago too Must be the season.
  23. My signature? Yes. It's reported that Hitler got many of his ideas from the Ottoman Empire. He even referred to the Armenians when plotting his annihilation of "undesirables." He said something like, "Who, after all, remembers the Armenians?" Referring to how nobody gave/gives a damn and won't again. You know, it's truly shameful. We're not even taught this in school as part of history; so I don't blame people for not knowing. The most shameful part is that the denial and lack of acknowledgement continues to this day. Can you imagine the same of the holocaust? I can't. But for some reason, it's okay for Armenians. The U.S. also does not recognize the genocide officially, though it does in unofficial ways. If I'm not mistaken, the only President who has ever verbally acknowledged it was President Bush I. Only good thing he ever did. I didn't learn about it in school; my father taught me when I was a child. I later lived in a community with a large Armenian population. I commemorate it every year with the Los Angeles Armenian community out of respect. There are various things going on in the city on that day. Turkey has always denied the genocide and still does. With no incentive from anyone (we have an "interest" in not upsetting our good buddies) to acknowledge it, they will continue to deny it. And obviously, there will be no justice for the dead, for the families, or for the Armenian People. Reparations are warranted just as other nations have had to implement them. sorry to go on , but this is a ing long, long time injustice and it should not continue -- the hypocrisy of it all is mind boggling. Here is more information for anyone who is interested in encouraging the U.S. to recognize the genocide, (it doesn't take much time to let your voice be heard) as well as a lot of information: http://www.anca.org/anca_home.php
