  1. My first goals are to get my dedication back up. Lose some fat in the process and get back some of the strength that I used to have. Part of my problem is the little one. He is in a different place than me and some of the exercises are difficult for him since he is short. My two week plan is this: Monday- chest and triceps; Chest press and push downs Tuesday- cardio and abs Wednesday- legs; Machine press Thursday- cardio and abs Friday- back and biceps; Curls and rows. The second week is the same split but I substitute a different exercise for each group. in order it is: Fly's and rope extensions cardio and abs leg extensions and leg curls with the hip adductor and abductor thrown in cardio and abs dumbbell rows and hammer curls that is a two week routine. With each day I will add a set of something that will add some variety. Like on bicep days I will do a set of rope curls to failure as a burnout set. Mostly I am trying to get comfortable in the gym and not look too much like an idiot. I am still self-conscious about some of the stuff. Later when I have the time off from school I am gonna dedicate more time to a routine based around free weights. I want to do more sets of low reps, add more food and try to keep the number of different exercises to a minimum.
  2. Woo hoo! Love that idea. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  3. I have. I love sweet corn raw. But it's fattening for those of us still carrying a little extra. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  4. I would think that if a manufacturer makes vegan creatine then it is the same regardless of the form. I think that the Vitamin Shoppe's private label is vegan. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  5. Not in my house. My wife HATES working out with me. My energy is much higher than hers. Apparently, it annoys her. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  6. I've been told by some that the winter is good for bulking. Just before it warms up they will cut. I still have too much fat but I wanna bulk a little anyway. I am thinking that whatever I am lifting after the bulk I will continue and try to get max reps at that weight. I don't wanna get huge, just big enough to fill out my clothes. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  7. Basically, bulking involves more calories. Enough extra protein and carbs to add muscle. Fat gains come with it. There is little to no cardio. Cutting requires lots of cardio and a reduction in calories to burn fat. The trick in cutting is to not eliminate too many nutrients and end up losing muscle. Either of these are usually done in phases of varying lengths. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  8. A little extra cardio never hurts. I'm getting close to winter clothes time so I am considering a bulk over my Christmas break. Then add the cardio back and try to get to about 10% body fat just in time to hit the lake next year. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  9. I have the health aspect also. That's why I chose to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. But the weights are for vanity. Cardio for fat loss and also endurance. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  10. I don't know about you, but I'm lifting purely for vanity now. I want to LOOK like I am in shape. When I was military I was in great shape but didn't look it. Now I want to look the part. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  11. Yeah, those were included also. I have yet ti eliminate corn from my diet but I'm working on it. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  12. I have ti think that creatine is similar to the situation with B12. Most B12 on the market is artificial. I assume that there are creatine sources that are artificial. Finding it is the challenge. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  13. At all or that you know of? Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  14. My 13 year old son is mine. He can't spot me but he is good for motivation. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  15. That is an amazing transformation. Awesome job! Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  16. Hell yeah, glad to hear it. Good luck. Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow.
  17. Very well said. Thanks again for the vote of confidence. One of the coolest guys I ever saw in the gym was an old man that was frail and carried oxygen with him. He would do the lifecycle circuit. It would take him a few minutes to get off of one machine and get on the next but he didn't give up. If he can do it, I can do it. 18. Definitely. One thing I stayed away from was cables. It sounds like I should add more variety to my workout. I never thought about learning to use my non dominant hand for things. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  19. Thank you. It is my motto in life. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  20. I will have to try those. I am currently doing biceps on my back day. In a few weeks I will change it up. Most likely to an opposing muscle group setup. Antagonistic I think is what it is called. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  21. 43 views and not one suggestion. I guess I'm doing good then. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  22. Personally, I feel that my biceps workout is lacking. I wish I felt like it was more substantial. Does anyone have any advice? Right now I do dumbbell curls and hammer curls on alternating weeks. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  23. OK. So my last week was not too good but I survived. I did all of my workouts last week except for Friday. Too much going on to get to the gym. This past week has been better. I still missed a day but I feel better about my workouts. I hope to have a better progress picture to share soon. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  24. I thought all creatine was derived from a meat source. Is this not the case? " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
  25. Very nice. Keep up the good work. " Where the attitude goes, the mind goes. Where the mind goes, the body goes. Where the body goes, others will follow"
