  1. Does anyone know where I can find vegan film for SLR Cameras? I take pictures of lightning (or at least I try, if salt lake city EVER has some) and its hard to near impossible to do that with the cheap digital camera I have. I didnt realize there was gelatin in film until recently. Do any popular film brand companies out there have vegan film? That raises a question though. What about movies? If we go to a theater and watch the reels the movie comes on, isnt that not vegan? If there isnt. That sucks. I much prefer SLR over digital, as I took a lot of classes in college and highschool dealing with SLR. Ive been saddened do to this
  2. Well, I did some suggestions I found on other websites and what Tasha suggested also. I woke up this morning and ran my 1.6 miles. I watched my form and made sure to belly breathe. And it worked! I think I was pushing my body too hard for something it wasnt ready for. Before, I was inhaling every two steps, so left then right, then exhaling every two steps, left then right. It got me where I needed to go faster, but even after such a mild run as 1.6 miles I was dying at the end, heart hurting or not. It felt like I was hyper ventilating. So I belly breathed this time, slowed down my run, and found my stride at inhale 4 steps exhale 4 steps. At the end of the run, I felt I could of ran another mile and would of been fine! No pain. NOTHING! It did add 2 minutes onto my time though, but I really dont care. If I get used to belly breathing soon I should get that back in no time. But dont worry. I am still going to get this checked out. It wont be immediatly, I dont have a penny to my name, but when I get my tax returns Ill see if I can find a doctor that takes someone without health insurance.
  3. Kobe vs Lebron would of been insane if I didnt see Lebron going for 8-43 from field goal range the last two games. Go Celts. Lakers are great, but I would love to see the Hornets pull the win and take on the Celts for the West Finals.
  4. About half an hour before a run I have a banana smoothie with a little bit of hemp protein.
  5. But the two HIIT sessions are running. So I really run 3 days a week, sometimes even four.
  6. I want to be buried in an empty spot in a forest, and have a tree planted on my grave. Ill live forever!
  7. Ok. So once a week I jog a mile and a half. Not very hard. Then 2 times a week I do HIIT. Which is very hard. I never had my heart hurt after HIIT, just the jogging. In fact, yesterday, I played 2 hours of basketball, and not once did anything hurt. Then when I got hom, and ate some spicy guacamole, it started hurting again. So I could be heartburn. I was eating the guac almost everyday for a couple of weeks. Im gonna lay off that for a while and see what happens.
  8. I hope not either. Its never happened before until now. I asked a few people about it yesterday (runners and weightlifters at my gym), even my chiropractor, and they all said its happened to them before also. Just competely random. Sometimes it hurts for a couple days, sometimes its gone immediatley. A couple even went to a doctors about it and was told it was nothing. So I dunno. If I get too panicked, Im going to the doctor.
  9. It felt like a sharp pain just beneath my breastbone. I actually have been trying to belly breath, but Im not in shape. So after about a mile and a half its near impossible for me to belly breath! Im thinking its heartburn, after doing a bit more research. If it happens today (my running day) Ill get it checked out.
  10. As above. I would say krav maga has the best real world situations, and if you get a good trainer, they allow physical contact enough you actually feel in danger. Other than that, the best self defense is not to get into the situation in the first place. Ive been around so many masters, trainers, and people who have trained in martial arts for years and they told me whenever someone asks them whats the best way to stay protected or which martial art is best, they always say "Awareness and knowing how and when to run away." As Trev said, unless your in a no way out situation to fight (in almost all isntances theirs a way out) Krav Maga, Aikido, Judo.
  11. I ran a mile and a half today. Which isnt so hard. Ive been doing it for the past month just about every other day and never had this happen. At the home stretch, probably 200 meters left, my heart started hurting. It got bad enough that I had to slow down to a mere light jog. Right when I stopped running. It stopped hurting. I dont have money for a doctor, nor health insurance. I do have a chiropractor who is cheap, but I dont think I should rely on him with this. Has anyone felt this happen? I looked it up online and all I got was either. See a doctor. Or that your heart is a muscle that is getting in shape also, it may hurt. ???? edited: I did more searching on google, and it could be a cardiac problem. But whats weird is that once I stopped running, I still did some lifting and wall sits, and didnt feel anything.
  12. Hmmm. Okay. Thanks, Ill check into it. Ill lower my lentil soup and hemp if anythin
  13. Well, I usually get anywhere between 100-150 grams of prot a day. Im not looking to bulk up at all, but between all the nuts, raw foods, and hemp shakes I drink its usually about 100g's, then add the lentils on hard weightlifiting / hiit days and it increases it too 150. I know they arent bad for me, but it was just annoying, I guess. Wanted to rant
  14. So I was at Whole Foods today (one I normally dont go too) and when I went the cash register and placed my food down on the belt, there was a new cashier there, a rather old woman, who looked at my food. ABout 90 percent was fruit, veggies, beans, and nuts. As she started ringing up my food, she takes a rather large bag of lentils (1.40 a pound, cant beat it) then proceeds to tell me that i shouldnt eat lentils, because they are bad for your health. She didnt say how, just how they, and I quote "causes all sorts of trouble to you." She did mention that eating A LOT of them does that to you, but I eat like a cup every day I work out, which is four days a week. 1. Why do people, when I dont ask in the first place, give me dietary advice? 2. WHy does she assume this bag was going to go so fast, as to cause me all these imaginary problems. A large bag like that usually takes me about 3 weeks to a month to finish. 3. I went online, and couldnt find one single word that lentils, in any amount, may be bad for you. Can you guys? Just a little annoyed right now.
  15. In my opinion, the UFC can go wrong if they put Tim Silvia on any fight card at all anymore.
  16. I should say that he fights now arent that spetacular. They always seem not Tito, like he is loosing something.
  17. I really want to see this but my good comic book senses are yelling NO! Did any of you read the Civil War comic book arc? Iron Man was basically a government lap dog, sending Good and Bad alike characters to a jail unlike Guantanemo if they didnt turn over their identity to the government. Captian America on the other hand led an underground group of "freedom fighters" who were labeled as terrorists trying to stop this from happening. Read the comic to just see how evil Iron Man is. I like him when I was young, but ever since that story arc I lost all respect for the character. Everyone is giving the movie great reviews, and im torn between standing by my geekdom comic book heroes, or selling out to someone who sold all his friends out.
  18. Okay. Between the two fighters of Penn and Sherk I really have no favorites. But pure fighting skill I think Penn will win. I love Wanderlie, but Jardine has impressed me with his humbleness and awkward fighting style that reminds me a little (only a little) of some of what Bruce Lee taught. Ill be going for Jardine! Go Tito! ALways liked him. Not a spetacular fighter in my opinion, but none the less.
  19. Whats weird is that they only won 36 or so regular season games. I think its just the underdogs fighting chance thats helping Atlanta. If they are going to be a good team, they need need to get rid of Bibby and get a better point guard.
  20. you almost got me richard. I did click on it to listen to the song though. Its damn catchy!
  21. Tomorrows a big day. Can the Celtics win on the road against the Hawks? After last nights drubbing I sure hope so. If they cant and it goes to seven at Boston, and Boston takes it, whats to say they wont loose on the road against better teams that have achance to beat them at their home!? Jazz tomorrow also. Ugh. I hate the Jazz fever here in Utah.
  22. From wiki: you can find the link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickroll Rickrolling is a prank and Internet meme involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up" written and produced by Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman known as Stock Aitken Waterman. The meme is a classic bait and switch: a person provides a link they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video. The URL can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true source of the link without clicking (and thus satisfying their curiosity). By extension, it can also mean playing the song loudly in public in order to be disruptive.[1] A person who falls for the prank is said to have been "Rick Roll'd". The practice began as a variant of an earlier prank originating from the imageboard 4chan called duckrolling,[2] in which a link to a popular celebrity or news item would instead lead to a photoshopped picture of a duck with wheels. The first instance occurred on the site, where a link to the Rick Astley video was claimed to be a mirror of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV (which was unavailable due to heavy traffic). [3][1] By May 2007,[4] the practice had become widespread, and it eventually began to garner some coverage in the mainstream media.[5][6][1] An April 2008 poll by SurveyUSA estimated that at least 18 million American adults have been rickrolled.[7] Partly fueled by the Rickroll phenomenon, Astley's former record company RCA Records is now planning to release a Greatest Hits album.
  23. Anyways. Back to the original. I was on the goneraw.com forums (amazing recipes by the way) asking about raw bodybuilding. They linked me to vbb stating that Robert had a diet plan for raw lifters. Thats how I came to be here.
  24. Ive been wanting to do it for a while, I just couldnt figure out how or if people would get it!
