  1. Keeping out of the sexist language discussion - I'll comment from a capacity from someone that does a lot of cardio. It's not to quote for pussies/wimps or whatever you want to call it - it can be more hardcore than a lot of strength training. With cardio, none of that having a breather and a rest between sets biznizz, it's full out from start to finish. The endurance, stamina and fitness of some cardio athletes is remarkable.
  2. Vary your exercises. Try something different for your muscle groups. Do the same old workout all the time and your body will adapt to that.......
  3. That's good of you compassionategirl. I'm sure the shelter is taking good care of him.
  4. i took the test and it said i busted the vain meter Yeah, Compash is the vainest of us all - no surprises there. Why don't you share the result with everybody else.
  5. I thought you would know that more is not always best, overtraining a muscle group and all that stuff......... My back/lats are bigger and stronger than they've ever been before. Lifting is just like running in that if you slowly work up to it, you can handle more volume and benefit from more volume. That's all well and good, but the point you were making is that all those chins did your arm size no good......
  6. I'm curious to see how vain Compash is.
  7. I'm as vain as Seasiren. ***You Are 60% Vain*** You're a little vain, but more than anything you have a healthy amount of confidence. Thinking the world of yourself is great. Just don't think less of those who aren't as pretty as you! How Vain Are You? http://www.blogthings.com/howvainareyouquiz/

  10. Why, when Rob's site is called Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness? So what would you call the DVD instead?

    finally

All those in favour of the habit of not washing their hands after urinating consider that others that do the same may not have the same standards of general hygiene you have.
  12. I believe they have been studies recently that show high doses of Vitamin C make no difference whatsoever to a cold. Same with echinacea.....

  14. We didn't mind selling the domain name to fellow vegans who stocked such good products. Me n Nat will have to open a restaurant with that name instead now.
  15. Good point endcruelty. A lot of vegan alternatives are not without their environmental impact.........
  16. I always think your posts are very considered and well made. I like the perspective you bring.
  17. AIET - there's also WSPA: World Society for the Protection of Animals. A few UK specific ones: Animal Defenders British Union for Abolition of Vivisection Animal Aid Captive Animal Protection Society Compassion in World Farming League Against Cruel Sports There's a load more I can't remember after a long day afer not enough sleep the night before - but I will post more ( and links ) when I get chance. There's a few that quietly go about their business that aren't as well known that do not get enough recognition. I don't know enough about them to be honest to offer a personal opinion on them, but look into them for a different perspective from over the pond.
  18. Compassionategirl had this strange soy allergy once - it disappeared pretty much as soon as it came. It did all kinds of strange things to her throat too......
  19. I'm sure I read somewhere that more than a couple a day is no good - something to do with too much potassium I think.
  20. It looks like you are giving a lot of weight to those guys - that they are a few kilos heavier. Was there much difference in the weight of you four? I think that is why you may look smaller - the possible variance in weight. If you were to enter a contest with guys closer to your weight, I'm sure you would place higher. Just a presumption, not sure if I am right or not.....
  21. Yeah, and at the end of the night, they constantly have to rub their heels and try to totter home or sometimes just give in and walk barefoot. Some of these shoes don't do the foot much good - some of the blisters you girls get....
  22. Yeah, there is a ghood dnb scene in Toronto endcruelty I believe? Have to take Compash ravin with me when I'm out there. God knows what she'll make of it....
  23. Yeah, that's where dnb and jungle comes from - rave. A lot of the drum n bass producers and dj's made or played rave ( hardcore ) back in the early 90's.
  24. Be warned, it's an acquired taste. It's just a racket to most people. http://www.breakbeat.co.uk/listen/listen-page.asp http://www.breakbeat.co.uk/listen/archives/default.asp?year=2005
