  1. This 'terrorism' is very real and liquid explosives have been used before. I'd rather tolerate further restrictions and be safe than get blown out of the sky at 30,000 feet.
  2. Nothing like a bit of stereotyping hey Offence. It can get very hot in the UK, especially in London and the South-East. I've lost count of the number of days I've sunbathed this year. What's the sun like in Sweden this time of year? I'm off there next week. I'm told it can get hot - I hope so.
  3. I'm glad your trip had the desired outcome. Sounds like a once in a lifetime trip.
  4. I think it will be sweet if/when Bronco and _raven_ meet.
  5. But not all zero posters are like this. I was a member of another forum for three years before I made a post - I happily read the discussions without contributing. I'm sure they are members like that here. Be a shame to cull them.
  6. Why? Some people are just shy or do not want to post for whatever reason. That's their choice.
  7. Not what I know. Me neither. Nor what a dedicated member of this board who made a major contribution to it's success knows either.
  8. This old chap just managed to come across a load of exotic, but sadly dead, butterflies? They were at some point captured and killed for this man's collection. His collection then ends up in the exhibition. I can't see what point I'm missing.......... Can we get of this subject, Please? Maybe this thread can get deleted so all the PERFECT people can relax and give us fellow vegans a brake and save it for the outside world. Robert is trying to do a good thing here..and he is, but some of you are making it very hard for him. R E L A X - Whatever point you are trying to make is getting you nowhere in this forum. I think you are the one that needs to relax, so try it sometime. The point I was making is not whether Bigbwii was right or wrong going to this exhibition, not whether he did or did not know that dead butterflies would be on display. I will call him up when he says that no butterflies were killed for that exhibition when obviously they were. No, not specifically so. The fact remains - dispute it all you want - these butterflies were killed for display purposes. These butterflies eventually find their way to an exhibition. Conclusion = these butterflies were killed for this exhibition.

  10. Barrylove - not sure if you will ever read this, but no matter how inflamed and heated argument gets, there is no need to accuse someone of acting childish by asking their age. CG - If you allege that a fellow vegan is possibly an apologist for animal exploitation then they will strongly react, as would you if someone levelled the same accusation as you. Peace to all. Tarz. x
  11. If my two previous posts seem out of synch with the way this thread has developed that is because I didn't get to the end of the thread before replying.
  12. I believe an updated version of the exhibition is currently on in London at the moment. I'm sure it will be on again when you move here Liz. People specifically leave their bodies for this scientist and his work, increasingly so once people became aware of it.
  13. Thought-provoking point, I'd never considered that before, something to think about. Not only senses but instinct too - the instinct of a caged bird to fly free in the sky, the instinct of a caged mammal to roam, in some instances vast distances......
  14. News Corporation own Myspace, as they also do Fox. So Fox doesn'y own Myspace, just part of the same group.
  15. I wonder if Cristian is still out in Germany - I guess so as Italy are in the final later tonight. I'm sure you've had a great time Cristian - let us know how you have got on.
  16. You are implying that conservatives are inherently sexist, which is blatantly not true. PETA can piss off conservatives with impunity. Oh. OK then. That's all right. Why shouldn't PETA also piss off radicals, intentionally or not? How is it far worse?? What makes radicals so special? I am quite sure though that PETA doesn't seek to piss off either conservatives or radicals. Personally I don't think PETA really gives a shit about either group and rightly so.
  17. AIET has plenty in his own gang. Accusing someone of being emotional because they hold a different opinion to you and they continue to debate with you is unneccessary.
  18. Interesting that all those moaning about PETA's use of nudes are only complaining about the use of female nudes. As usual sexism seems to be a one way concept - i.e it only applies to women. It's no secret that this method of campaiging doesn't bother me, but for those it does you would be more credible if you were equally opposed to PETA using male nudes.
  19. Most politicians do not and will not associate themselves with animal rights groups period, whatever tactics they do or don't use.
  20. Have you read a testimony of any potential vegan who decided not to become vegan because of this so-called 'exploitation' by PETA?
  21. I'll second that - stick to your guns AIET.
  22. I was aware of PETA for their animal welfare activities and not because of their use of obliging models.
  23. Which makes what they are doing all the more worse, as they know what it is like to be a victim. To inflict similiar treatment they have been through on to others..... Two wrongs do not make a right. I agree that some cruel and violent people were indeed themselves victims, unsure about 'most' being. Some people are just sick fuckers who have never been victims at all - no two ways about it - and there are no excuses for behaving this way. Haven't read all the thread yet so someone may have already posted similiar.
