Hi, my name is Attila and I am a vegan since three years and, well, I am still alive I am a very sportive person: I swim, do some training with weights and like to bike. My goal is to be huge someday to show people that vegans can look even better than "normal" people! I enjoy cooking and I really enjoy running my website and share recipes with people like you. There is so much vegan food out there and I love to explore it. If you ask me what I believe the future will be: I believe it's vegan. Meat is oldfashioned and milk is too. Leather is dead long time and let's not talk about fur... That's it for my introduction so far... Greetings Attila [/url]

Hi all. *waves* My name is Kourtney, I'm 18 and 4'11". I'm not vegan , and not really fit eaither, but hey, I've been getting into it and it's all Rob's fault. But that's fine with me! I've always loved animals, and really, to be honest, I like 'em better than humans. I like fitness, I just don't do it. My favorite class in school was P.E. and I always wanted to go into the weight room to do some stuff, but I never had anyone to do it with me and you had to have a teacher with you. ANd to put one last thing in, I'm gohic But I'm not into wierd sh*t, so don't hold that part against me.

I found this site a few months a go and I just realized there was a forum. Awesome place for information. People always make the general assumption that vegans and vegetarians are skinny sickly and weak individuals, people never believe I'm a vegetarian, they say I don't look it. Now, when I encounter someone with such misconception I refer them to this site. I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Ed, I'm 25, Engineering student, I live in Los Angeles, work as a computer geek sometimes, sometimes I work in security. I have been a vegetarian for only 3 years and currently becoming a full on vegan. I've had the ethical dilemma of eating meat since I was 16…

Hey dudes, I know you've all been anticipating my introduction so here it is. I am vegan because cruelty to animals is bogus, and I don't want to be a part of animal exploitation and murder. I've been weight training for a few years, and now I am trying to get into it hardcore to prove that veganism doesn't make you ill or weak, I want to be an example to other people, and make the most of what I have. I like heavy metal, videogames, anime and stuff. I don't go out (to parties / pubs / clubs) much because people are generally very drunk or high on drugs, neither of which I am interested in. I am pretty much unemployed but do free-lance illustration when I can, and a…

Hi everyone! My name is Andrew I'm from Bethlehem PA. I'm 18 years old and have been veg for a year and 8 months and vegan for a month. I found this site awhile ago and have been combing through it for tips on stuff. I finally decided to join the forum. I have yet to start lifting, I've been trying to get my upper body into shape with push ups and sit ups everyday. As of right now I am 5 foot 7 inches and 147 pounds. I dropped 20 after I went vegetarian. I still have fat deposit on my stomach and chest, basically man boobs to be frank. I was hoping that this forum could help me even more then the site has already. My legs are fine seeing that I ride everyday to an…

So I've been on this forum for a while and I haven't introduced myself. I have a couple of minutes so here goes. My name is Cameron. I'm from Los Angeles. I've been vegan for about ten years and vegetarian since I was a little kid. That might be an oversimplification. The change to vegeatarian was pretty easy. When I was like 2, 3, 4...somewhere around there, I called myself a fruititarian. And then later became a vegetarian. Occasionally my parents would make me eat turkey or fish. But after a while, no meat at all. Then in my early teens I went vegan. And by the time I was in college I had convinced my parents to go vegan too. LA is a great town for vegan…

I'm so glad I found this website, sick of seeing people say that you've gotta eat tons of meat and whatnot to get fit. John Berardi, as knowledgable as the guy is, kinda knocks on the vegan lifestyle. Anyway, I'm a 6'5" guy, weighing in at about 185-190 lbs, and I like to do cardio. I've got an aspiration to compete in biathlons/triathlons, and just a desire to be an all around fit guy. Don't really want to gain tons of muscle, just have great muscle tone and to look good. (Kind of a side effect, dissuade people from thinking that because you're vegan you're automatically super thin and anaemic.) Again, very happy to have found the site, and hope to participate and l…

Hello everyone, it is great to see a place like this! I have been a vegetarian for 5 years, vegan for 1. I was diagnosed with IBS and found out that half of the foods I ate were making my condition worse. I fell off the vegan bandwagon, but I still mostly eat that way. I am a certified fitness trainer, I love working out and eating right. It is so great to be here!

Hello everybody, I was passing through this website a few days ago, looking for some bodybuilding tips, and got sucked in by the variety of the posts here. I have posted a few replies, myself, and compassionategirl suggested I introduce myself. So here goes: Yeah, that's a picture of me. It's a few years old, though. I am 41 now, but that was the last time I had a killer body, so I thought I'd use that pic. These days I work too much and don't spend enough time with my friends or my wife, but I am working on changing all that. (The son of a friend of mine, who is six, said I am a workaholic. I asked him if he knew what that meant. He said, "That's when you work all th…

hey not only am i new to this site, i am a new vegan as well. im 19 years old (almost 20) and i've been vegan since late june. Im really just hoping to meet some vegans and share ideas and health tips because i dont know any vegans really at all. it always helps to have a support group of people who understand the things you stand for. a lot of people around here are so uninformed about the things they eat it makes me so upsett! today some girl told me butter was made out of eggs and that there was probably lard in the bread i was eating. (it was vegan). I was like "wake up, honey..." if only people would do some research. anyways, i'd love to meet people! Im…

Well, I have been lurking around the site for the past few months, and finally decided to jump in. My name is Damien, I am a Canadian, currently living and working in Lewiston, Maine. I have been a vegan for about the last 5 years. My main reason for doing it was health. As a result of becoming a Vegan, and working through a lot of troubleshooting, I have managed to conquor my eczema, I lost 30 pounds of fat, and have greatly improved my health. I was competitive cycling for about two years, then quit in October of last year. I have always weight trained to some degree for the last 10 years or so, but when I quit cycling, I decided to become much more focused. I love …

i long have held my meat-eating against myself, and tonight-today, decided it was time to go vegetarian. i've taken bodybuilding pretty seriosuly this past year (i'm 18 now), and that was the only thing holding me back from goin veg. i figured though that i couldn't be the best bodybuilder in the world (genetics, drugs, SYNTHOL haha,) and might as well set my sights toward more pertinent and noble goals such as animal rights and its relative causes. i still plan to take bodybuilding very seriosuly though and am extremely glad to happen upon this site. hope to make some good friends and find some good advice here. greetings again everyone

Hey Ladies & Gentlemen, I'm a newly converted vegetarian. I made the decision over the past week. I've gotten sick and tired of feeling lethargic and honestly sick of the excess weight I've gained. I used to compete in bodybuilding, then I got married, started a job where I'm not too active and it's been downhill every since. I just haven't felt healthy for a while, so I knew it was time for a change. Anyway, good to see a site like around for support. Look forward to watching it grow. Brandon Boyd

Hey y'all, It's totally AWESOME to see a Vegan forum dedicated to bodybuilding. I'm 5'6" and 150lbs (as of 07/16/05) and have been lifting weights for about 6 months. Prior to that I did spinning classes 5-15 times a week depending on my training cycle. I have been Vegan for eight years and am really looking forward to getting and giving some awesome information here!

Hello, everyone. My name is Corey and I'm 21, living in St. Louis at the moment. Last year, I was introduced to this site and forum by my good friend, Brendan. And after not much prodding from him, I too have decided to join in and take part. I have been a vegan for nearly a year and a half, and have become increasingly interested in fitness and nutrition. I have been perusing the site for some time, and have found lots of helpful and useful information. It's hard to find like-minded vegans here in the Midwest! This site is a rare jewel. Thanks, Rob! This seems like a great community filled with wonderful people and I can't wait to take part. Talk with you all soon…

Where are you DanDz? Still can't find veganbear, vegmike or jimvegan on these boards yet either Maybe they are averse to change ? (i.e. the new forum layout?) Or, maybe they are doing their usual and wonderful work of rescuing animals, in which case, we forgive you for abandoning us, cuz the animals must come first.

Hello, all. After a few years of frequenting veganbodybuilder.com and a couple months following your posts regularly, I thought I might as well step out of the shadows and start contributing to this great online community. I'm a scrawny vegan (of 3.5 years), like some of you seemed to have once been, who's working to build some body mass to show the world that vegans can be strong, too. I've found several of your stories really inspiring and have gained 10 lbs. since coming back home from college for the summer. If you put your mind to it, it's kind of easy and fun! I also just want to give a quick shoutout of thanks to Rob for all the great work he is doing to promot…

Hey everybody. I stumbled onto this site a couple weeks ago and I have to say that I'm super impressed with it! It's really cool to see that there are people serious about fitness and big into veganism at the same time! I've been vegan for nearly six years now, and I've been weight lifting the whole time. I've been able to put on a little muscle, but never all that much. I've been watching what some of you eat and have altered my diet to ensure that I form a complete protein with every meal I eat. I'm hoping that it'll make a difference. Either way, I still enjoy lifting weights just for the fun of it as well. I'm looking forward to having some good conversation…
