robert
http://myspace-646.vo.llnwd.net/00786/64/64/786004646_l.jpg For years I loved physiques like this and I'm still drawn to them. I know they are freaky and not vegan, and not natural, but there is some visual appeal to them. But I'm sure many would say, it is just too much! It is certainly not an "ideal" physique in my mind (I posted one recently in the ideal physique section) but it is fun to look at the "freaks" from time to time. I'm friends with some fo them too. I have no idea who this guy is, just saw it on myspace.
robert
I love the legs on this guy! http://myspace-669.vo.llnwd.net/01238/96/62/1238052669_l.jpg
Tigress
I don't think its too much but realise a lot of people do. There is no such thing as too many muscles
robert
That's my girl! Now, if only I looked like that. Then I'd be super pumped! But I'm just a little guy..................
lelle
In my opinion such guys look gross. there's a line you shouldn't pass, even as a bodybuilder. and Rob: what am I when you call yourself little?
robert
Yeah, some guys are very very very freaky! It's just interesting to see the human body in that form, that it is even possible. I know it's not natural, but somewhat interesting. Bodybuilders tend to love photos like this (maybe not these guys or those much veins) but that kind of muscle. I still feel small. In photos I can look bigger than I really am but I do feel small. There was a time I felt big and I want to get back there. No worries, it all depends on what your goals are as to what size you want to be. I think we're all works in progress working toward goals we have for ourselves. I'm not even really clear what mine are at the moment (which is unusual). I can see how some images are "too much" but I also seem to be drawn to them naturally based on my interest in bodybuilding over many years. robert
A few more great ones of massive muscle! http://a140.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/26/l_95a395824326dd945560e4dc429f8e83.jpg I would love to have this physique!!!!!!!!!! http://a442.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/42/l_8a60de931aff3dad5345bd5a867b9931.jpg http://a532.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/45/l_08685c02b535258dec437607b4e8dfe3.jpg http://a195.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/52/l_ac645283bb565e25cc11dd999cb96f1a.jpg Great physique here! Not too big, just about right! http://a920.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/17/l_314ad41a7269c1d97f882377785b578f.jpg
Last of the Sane
Well... For myself I never want to be that big, I'm all for athletic muscles with functional strength. I do respect the huge boddybuilders, but I don't understand why they have to be so dry? To me everything under 7% bf looks a bit unnatural. Zack
Being huge is useless and limiting, but it does look cool.
mm
If I've ever had a certain physique as a guideline for my training, it probably belongs to the 19th-century-greats. Pandour, Hackenschmidt, Sandow, Breitbart... I like their - by todays standard - "fatty" look. They're way more balanced, IMHO, and not being cut makes them appear less aggressive and more mellow. Apart from that, I think Serge Nubret kicks ass. http://www.schwarzenegger.it/mro/nubr.jpg
robert
Being huge is useless and limiting, but it does look cool. I don't know about that. I wouldn't say it's useless or limiting. At the same time you could say that about being small, short, tall, fat, etc. 8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman can do the splits, dance, run, jump all of those things. A pro competitor does a back flip on stage. Most guys can go to Big and Tall stores and find clothes without having to get things specially made. I don't think it is as limiting as people think. And certainly not useless.....this is a job for thousands of people, it is how some guys get endorsement deals, modeling opportunity, sponsorships, and how many make their income. These guys are strong, certainly not a useless function. Anyway, yeah, they are big and freaky and certainly not "ideal" for any of use since they are all on drugs, but I think they do have their place in the bodybuilding industry. Zack
Alright, maybe useless was a bit harsh. I do admire all the work they put into it, shows a lot of dedication. I just think a leaner cut physique is more useful, just my opinion though. I agree with lelle, fine line.
andgbr
although it is a 'time-taking' and a hard 'physique' do maintain, i don't think that's a ''pretty'' thing, and i also don't think it's ''worth'', unless you're planning to make money out of that... i like big, and i also like 'bigger' muscles, but i don't like 'too much' muscles.. xdarthveganx
the biggest I would EVER want to be is about as big as Jeff Monson and I almost think that is toooo big. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/thebulk/monson-1.jpg
robert
yeah, these guys are basically genetically engineering themselves with all kinds of alterations. Not ideal by any means and not appealing to many but still freaky and interesting to look at. Some that size are very "normal" people too

Guest
I don't see it as a too big thing...I see it as a too dirty thing...the same as people running new world records. You just know they aren't clean. If they were it wouldn't be an issue. These guys want to get big to see how big and proportioned they can be...not neccessarily how attractive they can be so I see it as being no different than any other athlete...thing is they don't have to avoid drug tests the way other athletes do...if all other top athletes could get away with juicing that much I think they would and records would be much faster or olympic lifts would be much higher than they are now
andgbr
using steroids and all that is more of a personal choice, i believe, just like eating meat, smoking pot..BUT....i obviously don't think it's a good choice, it's a terrible one, i would never encourage anyone to use it.. ANDi would NEVER let GM-Athletes participate in 'real' events..nor Magazines or anything like that, using 'roids and all that just destroys the spirit and the ''hard-working'' part of sports.. People work really hard to ''succeed'' and then when they're in the field they find a bunch of frankies', and the only choice left is to become a frankie's too...that wouldn't make me a happy..that's messed up.. Guest
Unfortunately this is the world of pro sports...if it were an even playing field I would do my best to become a competative olympic cyclists(a medal contender) but I know all I can hope for is to qualify since most of the people that even consider trying to qualify are just as dirty as the men at the top. andgbr
that pisses me off.. they should create their own event with their own rules to participe with other frankie's and while they're all being dirty with themselves ''legally'' and ''fairly''we can play our games without these druggies...sports are about rules.. how can they feel good about themselves if they're not even following the rules? Bunch of MoF**s... I hope i'm not offending anyone in here.. i'm just sharing what i think.
robert
I compete in Natural Bodybuilding. We are polygraph and urine tested to make sure we are clean so it is an even playing field. In Pro sports, I'm afraid potter is right, many, if not most are using some sort of drugs to increase their performance.
Guest
Sad thing is those guys are tested every day and are dirty every day...they just keep one or two steps ahead of everyone else by taking new drugs not yet discovered by testing labs. Some guys never get caught yet everyone knows they are dirty and in 10 years they would get caught taking those same drugs
