  1. When you keep saying about 'wanting to live in a 3rd world country'. What is stopping you? Do you REALLY want it.. or is it just a pipe dream for just talking about it? If you really want to be Tarzan / Robinson Crusoe Island thing.. its not as difficult to go there. A lot of westerners have moved to Asian / Latin American / Medeterrenian / Indian / Australian regions. PS: Yes, peace corps and a lot of other Non Profit Organizations do a lot of work, pay you decent and let you travel / visit these countries for differen lengths of time for various projects. Research and find what you want. Let me know and I can ask around.. I know a bunch of people. yes i really want to do this. I have learned to let go of all my dreams and goals. the only thing stopping me from going was being in a relationship. i was worried about trying to find a career or job to create a future for us. and ultimately that led to us breaking up, if not amongst other things. i was trying to focus on "creating" a life here in the USA when i really want to be possessionless, travel to other countires, and volunteer. over the next couple of years i want to play music in a hardcore bands here in the USA and get out a message i feel is important. and when that ends, pick up and take me and a bookbag and go voluntter in a NPO. I'm gonna spend my time researching exactly which ones and where im gonna volunteer. and when the whole band thing dies down, go and do this.
  2. give it a shot dude. i plan to do it within next couple-few years.
  3. thanks for the advice. actually ive been looking into that already. either the peace corps or similar organizations. volunteering in exotic places working with the environment, animals, and/or humyns would be way awesome. im gonna do it after life here and playing in hardcore bands either takes a long pause or ends.
  4. i love going to hot springs. that looks like fun
  5. thats where id like to end up. or in brazil. tropical, with fresh fruit, and some form of MA brazil has only one problem: brazilians. lol heyyy thats harsh. i know many awesome brazilians. I practice capoeira...thats my main interest for brazil.
  6. In a lot of cases like this, I think taking one step back helps take two steps forward. The internet uses lots of energy too, but through that energy (lots of it is wasted) we are able to post information and share our lifestyle to help others see the benefit of veganism. Cooking may use energy, but a 200 pound vegan with little bodyfat who is stronger than a lot of meat eaters helps people take it seriously also. this is true, and i often contemplate this.
  7. but i realize that fruitarianism is more about the environment for me, with having little/no garbage, no wasted energy to cook or prepare meals. and that its more important than me being huge. so i guess im gonna try to stick with it the best i can and do what i have to do to survive.

  9. lol those videos made me smile. norway is beautiful. id very much like to visit there one day.
  10. i want to do the same as kon. and find a diet that i feel great on. and i love what raw/fruitarianism has to offer (my health, the environment, etc). but its very expensive and hard to gain muscle/mass on because i can not get a large enough quantity of fruit nor the variety i need to maintain my health let alone build mass on but i still feel its one of the best diets/lifestyles for the environment and for ones health in the long run.
  11. well no more job at gym and no more philly. and im back in the poconos at my moms house. but i plan to get back to eating cooked vegan foods, bulking up and lifting heavy and staying big and strong until i can one day live in a place like brazil or thailand and pick my fruit straight off the tree. hehe liz and odidnetne, feel free to come visit me in a couple months once im back to training and we can hangout and find a cool hiking adventure to do or something, and eat lots of food and train hard. id love to come to veganvacation in oregon, but im tapped out of money, and i am skinny as a stick. once i get back into lifting, i will aim for the next vacation and become more active in the forum and with promoting a vegan lifestyle thru fitness.
  12. things werent working out living with acquaitences/friends. and my gf and i broke up too. where i live now (moms house in PA) Im back to cooked foods and having a car just because im in the middle of nowhere in the woods at my parents. its too hard to get organic fruits out here. and theres no way to work a job without having a car to drive to it. but im still living very minimal and trying my best not to partake in consumerism. and one day can live a simple life without a car in a third world country and eat fruitarian. and even my purchase of cooked vegan food today got the cashier to consider eating tofu dogs instead of real hotdogs and to consider veganism over eating meat. she even approached me about the subject based on what i was buying. it made me realize then when i bodybuilded and was bigger that I had a real positive influence on introducing veganism to other people. so im gonna go back to cooked foods while i live here and bulk back up. i realize that fruitarian felt healthiest for me but was very hard to bulk on (maybe cause i still had to detox), but i was having too many issues mentally, and now due to my location and financial situation its cheaper and easier to eat cooked vegan foods for now. so its what Im doing for now. but one day i will return to fruitarian when i live somewhere where i can pick my fruit straight off the tree
  13. I went to ventura, ca for earth crisis show. it was my first time experiencing california. I loved it. nice climate, friendly ppl, wonderful nature, and lots of organic fruit! it seemed like the most wonderful place that I been to and totally realistic place to survive without lots of man-made crap (jackets, airconditioning/heat,etc). a very nice lady taught me tai chi class for free in a park. it was awesome, and there was this huge australian tree. i loved it there. I want to move out to SoCal sometime within next couple of years if I can. But housing is very expensive. and there's lots of traffic, pollution, and big egos. but there are other countries im interested in living in at some point in my life. but i definitely want to try cali before i leave

  22. thai green curry as spicy as one can make, is my favorite food on this entire planet. i am obsessed with thai green curry. you know thats gonna make me move to portland, right? btw i should be moving to portland within a year and a half. and plan to stay for a long time, and possible put myself thru some kind of schooling to get a sweet job, while also being in a band and going to shows. but any other free time i have, if i am not 100% raw/fruitarian will be eating green curry with you.
  23. Is there a more healthy natural birth control a womyn can take? If so, what is it? All the BC I know of is harsh chemicals, and while it helps to prevent having a kid and helps with acne, its pretty unhealthy on the body. so if any womyn can help me out with this, that be fantastic. I'm trying to find out for my girlfriend (she doesnt have a computer right now to research it), so any help would be appreciated. thank you.
  24. and yeh, things are so damn expensive, no idea how im gonna afford to keep eating like this. but hopefully one day i can move somewhere tropical or where fruits are more widely available.
  25. oh okay word. i thought bromelain was found in the stalk and not in the actual "fruit" part? i know all about how great bromelain is for the body and that be way awesome if it is in the fruit and i am consuming it. and yeh, i eat an entire pineapple in a sitting.
