  1. when i do eat 100% raw: i dont know the quantities but heres whats i eat: -watermelon (i can eat this by the pound) -kiwi -apple -banannas -blood oranges -asian pear -raw protein bars (lara, raw revolution, etc.) -raw almonds -dehydrated goji berries -kombucha tea -dehydrated fruit (apricots, raisins, etc.) I plan to be close to 100% raw all the time in the near future, and to come up with a set eating plan. when i do, i will post exactly what im eating
  2. thats part of the culture. there will be "strings" in it. you could try shaking it up after its been open at least once, so it doesnt explode on you like a soda can when you re-open it. try getting a kombucha tea with a good fruit flavor to mask the taste. i rather enjoy the actually taste of the non flavored kind. I noticed the tea makes my glands swell in my throat a little bit and i get kinda sick, but then later on i feel so much more amazing. i think its cause it tests my immune system. and then my immune system fights it and becomes stronger.
  3. Cool man, that's the first step. See you out in the world somewhere this summer. We'll keep posting. You can live through us for the summer. definately man. we'll cross paths again sometime. I'll make it a point to come visit yous in the woods or wherever youre staying if i can. and we can hang out
  4. Oh WOW!!! That's what I always wanted!!! Bit impractical with 2 dogs right now tho But I reckon it's a good thing to have, you'll never be without work for too long having one of them. Cool! Same old same old really. Littlegirlbunny and her dogs have moved in with me, so it's a nice and cosy affair at ours They're camping out in the living room. I'm sure we can fit you in though, so come over whenever! awesome. yeh driving a big truck is fun, but i feel bad for the fuel they use. eventually if i decide to use my CDL when I move, I want to use it to deliver vegan products/produce and whatnot. if i ever come to the UK again, i will make sure to set something up to stay with you and come visit you. i miss malc and keira and their wakeup calls. hehe
  5. sounds good dude thanks. i dont know my exact plans, i might end up staying in philly. but if i cant im coming to portland. anyway vegfest sounds rad. i like seattle. have fun duder
  6. i just got mine done at h and r block
  7. i hate our system and wont be voting.
  8. hey billy, class A cdl means i can drive big tractor trailers, big rigs, 18 wheelers. its a commercial drivers license. and yes 24 hr fitness really is open 24/7 aside from a few rare select times of maitenance, snowstorms, power blackouts, etc. hows the UK? id like to make my way back there sometime too
  9. well I might end up staying in Philly "permanently" if I can find a cool vegan house to live at. i have some friends there and are waiting for them to get back to me. but if they dont need a roommate, then im most likely aiming for portland. Im either gonna try living in Portland again, or end up living in Philly for a while. it all depends on what I can find. whos kind. and whatnot
  10. actually my gf will be back just in time for the fitness vacation. so id still like to bring her a long as a guest if thats cool.
  11. hey robert, it looks like my gf will just be getting done with her yoga certification so she can still definately come with me. let me know how much money i need to bring for this vacation so i can try to save up. and please read my post in general about "things are always changing for me". cause Id like to be able to stay at your place after the vacation (just me) and pay you rent, for a little while. the thread i wrote is an update on me and the vacation if its cool with you. thanks duder. i cant wait to come see everybody again and be in portland.
  12. okay i know things are always changing for me. so quick update: I left my job. I hate the oil industry. i want to go back to having a simple life, making a positive difference, working a job that matters, and being active in the vegan community. Anyway, I am trying to find a temp job here in Denver. I will be getting out of my apartment lease by end of May. I will be driving from Denver to Ventura, Cali for the earth crisis reunion/gather show on May 5th and then driving back. When my lease ends here at the end of May, I dont know where I will be living. I'd like to go back to PA and visit my little sister for a couple of days. then make my way to Philly and go to some hardcore shows and crash on a friends floor, pay them rent, and work temp jobs. and id like to get rid of my car somehow asap and never have one again. I'd then like to come to Portland for the veganbodybuilding vacation, even though I am no longer big and muscley. I'd like to come to see robert, david, megan, nettie, tyler, and other friends I made when I lived in Oregon, and Id like to meet new friends from the board. And then after the vacation, see if its cool if I crash with robert and david for a little while if I pay them rent and work a job, until my gf and I get our own place in Portland. my gf is going to yoga school in cali for a month or so around the same time as vegan vacation. Its way different then when I first stayed with Rob. cause now id be in Portland and I now can get a job asap cause of my warehouse experience and Class A CDL and i have already contacted staffing agencies there that can get me a job as soon as i need one. so i can finally afford to pay rent (I did end up paying robert back $$ when I stayed with him). and i wont do something stupid like skateboard and break my ankle. plus now that i have an idea of how to live life on my own and i understand how to survive now, life will be much easier to live. and i wont be a burden to anyone that puts me up, cause im in good health and will be working. and am not trying to pursue snowboarding. I'd love to be able to train at 24 hr fitness or wherever with david and robert. (i have a membership at 24hr fitness here in denver and all 24 clubs). I want to get into animal rights stuff, and be actively involved in the vegan community and i think portland is the place to do it. I also want to regain all my muscle mass eating hi-raw aside from curry. (I still want to eat thai curry). and id would be totally awesome if Robert would be kind enough to let me stay with him temporarily again. plus i would totally contribute extra income to him and dave by paying rent, and that could help fund veganbodybuilding.com plus i totally want to get back into promoting veganbodybuilding and the website and all that and get back to being active in making a positive difference. so to Robert and David: Would I be able to stay with yous for a little while if I pay yous rent? I just need a floor. And Im skinny now so i take up less room. hehe I can also help out around the apartment with cleaning, any odd jobs that need doing, helping with veganbodybuilding, and anything else. and then when I can, I still would like to go to Germany to play music and visit my friend. so this would mean the world to me if yous could help me out. thank you I miss portland so much and cannot wait to go back
  13. holy crap amazing. that sounds so awesome. I just left my job.
  14. veganism for me: -mononucleosis for 9 months, so I had to start eating healthy to live -I read an article on kevin jones (snowboarder) who did yoga to stay in shape for snowboarding. so i wanted to try yoga. -yoga book I then bought (recommended vegetarian diet in it), so then I tried vegetarianism on and off with yoga -Chris X, introduced veganism to me -growing up around animals and finally realizing i no longer want to contribute to eating them
  15. word im down for working out. and yeh theres a couple gyms close to me
  16. yep thats me on the magazine. I no longer have long hair or big muscles though. I donated my hair to Locks of Love (for cancer patients) a long time ago. And I am trying to lose all my muscle mass so I can go raw and build it back on me being 100% raw only. Nuremberg is about 45 minutes from Vilseck. When is your event? I would love to come if I could. But I think the soonest I can make it to Germany would be sometime in January 2008. I'd love to learn how to prepare and make raw meals for myself and i would love to come to any of your future events if I can. take care, topher
  17. my gf will go cause she is almost raw and will be living in phoenix
  18. sure if you want. im not a big guy by any means at all anymore. im a skinny little stick lol. but ive got some serious strength I've met 5 people here on the forums and loved meeting them all, so I'm sure meeting #6 will be cool too. It amazes me because I used to go to an arcade that I think was about 10 minutes from you about 5 - 6 times a week, but then by the time I found out about you, you moved out west. :-/ yeh sorry bout that. lol. well i will be back this summer. a good 8-10 days every month. I plan to do a lot of hiking, spending time with my family, and going to hardcore shows, but im sure we could meet up sometime and do something.
  19. haha some pics are pretty funny. hey do you have any outside landscape shots of SoCal?
  20. amazing dude. once i am 100% raw and start bulking up with VEGA, i would love to workout there and get some shots done to promote veganism
  21. I'm moving to Vilseck, Germany come this winter to play in a band. Gonna live with my best friend. and visit Lelle and some others in Nuremberg for some animal rights stuff. feel free to contact me. id love to meet up and do anything relating to veganism. however, i dont know any german. take care, topher
