  1. that sucks dude, i hate it when vegan options dissapear from menues. good thing they have the other bread.

in sweden 98% of all the bread is totally vegan which is kinda weird since we have the lowest percentage of lactose intolerance and milk allergy in the world, but i like it =)

Normally though, they just add ingredients from milk into bread when they put it in (ie: Whey, casein), not using actual milk for flavor, just putting it in as a preservative or something.

  2. I remember in the late 90s people were talking about the year 2000 problem. It was very scary, very serious. Prices for all sorts of things were going up because upper middle class people/lower class rich people who could afford it were stockpiling everything, convinced that things would come grinding to a halt.

I was in my first job out of school. Still living in a room in shared house. All I could do in late 1999 was buy myself two gallon jugs of distilled water in case the year 2000 problem screwed up the water station.

I couldn't load up on enough food for a month in a basement I didn't have. I couldn't buy a portable generator and store two months of fuel. Etc etc.

Well January 01 2000 came. I bought a Washington Post with that date on it for souvenir. A cash register in England malfunctioned, but aside from that the year 2000 problem passed. Nobody starved, society didn't collapse.

I did get a good laugh hearing people call into the radio station asking

"What do I do with all of this stuff?"

after they spent thousands of dollars on survival things they now didn't need.

    Life will go on people.

Misery and stress will come looking for you. No reason to go prying up the floor boards to find things to worry about and borrow trouble.

    Have a NICE DAY

There was actually a story too about a man who owed a few billion dollars on an overdue videotape when 1/1/00 began too, that made me laugh.

  3. I'm not ashamed of my muscles but when my flatmates tell out loud that I train I am ashamed because I don't look like a bodybuilder yet and that's why I don't like to show my muscles if people expect me to be huge.

My flatmates do that often and in public.

Yeah that happens to me too and I feel that way.

Mostly because when people say bodybuilder they expect you to flex a muscle and this of course is the biceps, my weakest muscle by far. Now if I could hit a lat spread that might be another story, but I think people would look at me strange. LOL

I would never consider myself a bodybuilder, but whenever someone even hears weight lifting, it seems I need to flex a muscle. I'd much rather show off my mutant calves than my biceps, but that's the power of DDR, not weightlifting.

  4. David lived like 45 minutes away from me at one point and I never met him...I really regret it too.

Yeh, David is close by to me as well right now and I'm going to make sure we chill. I gotta get on that! Looks like it was fun times

DV, this is the first time I have seen you as well. I feel like singing 'take my breath away'

It's a good thing you held off on the gun show otherwise you would have overshadowed david's visit and made rob look like a boy.

If and when I come home to Pennsylvania this summer, we'll have to all meet up somewhere. We could meet up realistically anywhere, because (as far as I know), all 3 of us live near Train stations (or at least when I'm in PA I do. )

  5. I had an epiphany last night which relates to what DV & LoveLiberate said. We should seriously start to befriend our neighbors. It's amazing how few people anyone knows outside of an internet setting, and the fact that everything we know universally is because of TV and internet, and yet, in real life, we're very much separated, and we fear our neighbors, which doesn't help our situation.

  6. I will admit, middle school wasn't my favorite time to be alive....

I don't think many of us enjoyed Middle School.

My prom sucked though, because I got sick and my date accused me of "Not wanting to have fun", probably because I was too busy sitting down to prevent further vomiting...the life I live....

  7. I sometimes watch Parental Control and The Ex Effect when at my friend's house, because we don't have cable here, but I normally watch it only if I'm feeling REALLY lazy & unmotivated, normally after having a lot to eat.

  8. I think the problem is that you're putting it in things that aren't really green to begin with. Whenever I put spirulina, for instance, in something, it's normally a green smoothie: (Orange juice, bananas, fresh spinach, hemp protein, then other greens). The clash of Greens vs. other foods may be what you're not liking.

  9. I believe the correct answer to that question is yule. Yule is a holiday that actually predates XMAS. Most Pegans celebrate Yule. And in my opinion Peganism is pretty much like Atheism. The only difference is that Atheism is pure anti religion and Peganism is an Anti-Religion Religion.

Pagans actually have a set of beliefs (While, like many other religions, it varies from sect to sect), and is nothing like atheism. How is paganism an anti-religion religion?

  10. Do you think this is possible?

If someone trains for years without taking more calories than he needs, and therefore without gainning any weight, would he be able to become stronger and stronger?

And how strong could someone become if he weighs for instance 140pounds?

Will he reach a threshold that could not become any stronger?

It's not about "not eating too much to avoid gaining muscles", well yes a little bit, but it's about what kind of training and exercices you do.

If your kind of training is for hypertrofia, like 4 series of 8-12 reps with heavyweights, then you're gonna get bigger, espescially if you eat a lot.

If you wanna get stronger without big muscles, all you gotta do is endurance training, also some isometry, and lifting very heavy for 1-2 reps.

Bruce Lee had small muscles but he was very strong and could lift almost anything.

When you work on endurance and explosivity, it increase endurance and explosivity, but also sheer strenght and power. Without increasing too much the size of muscles. But it makes tight muscles.

Damn, you beat me to it, I was just going to use Bruce Lee as an example.

  11. Bah. I eat when I can. At work, a baggy of almonds is perfect.

Btw, I'm phasing wheat out of my diet and the bloating and gas is going away. I think I'm gluten intolerant.

That's possible. By the way, quinoa can be sprouted, and it's very delicious like that.
