Oatmeal is a great breakfast. If you're going to use raisins though instead of sugar, I'd recommend putting in the raisins while the water is boiling, so it sweetens the water, and flavors the cereal overall, not just the spoonfuls with raisins.

We had My avocado salad at Topher's house though, remember? That was some good stuff.

I saw it go both ways pretty easily.

Stomach/right side. I can't fall asleep sleeping on my back.

I like how all of your smoothies are exact and weighed out. My smoothies (like everything else in my life) is estimated.

That's cool, but I thought he looked photoshopped at first. :-/

Paul seemed really cool and I regret not being able to meet him when I lived in PA.

I believe sweet potatoes are higher in nutrients than regular potatoes though, if you want to have some potatoes. I also think it's the way they're cooked. Most people don't eat baked potatoes, they eat french fries and potato chips.

Too bad I moved out of the area. I was a 2 hour train ride from Penn Station, I was at the other end of 80 as soon as PA started (basically that area).

Isn't lysine the amino acid found mostly in grains? That shouldn't be hard for people to get.

Mustard also combines with tomato paste and molasses to form another great condiment, BBQ sauce.

Unless I completely missed it 2 of the Kashi cereals don't have honey in them. I checked the ingredients about five times.
There are 3 of them that I know, the Strawberry Fields, Cinnamon Harvest, and another one that's a plain cereal. I used to eat boxes of the Cinnamon Harvest one, but I just stick to oatmeal when I do have cereal.

What's the price on buckwheat protein as compared to say the Gemma Pea protein?
Edit: Seems to be about a dollar a serving, which I think is about matched with the price of hemp.

I think the reason many of us are "Vegan built" is because we lose a lot of weight initially going vegan and wish to get our weight back up. This makes logical sense as there are probably a lot of us who didn't eat well on an omni diet and had a lot to lose when going vegan.

Congratulations, nice avatar too.

Looking good. What are you weighing in at now?

I would suggest fruit, either some oranges or bananas, anything else tends to curb hunger, but lay in my stomach while I'm trying to workout (that's just my personal experience).

Welcome to the club.

Cool article, easy to read and to the point. Thank you; looks like it is time to buy the manitoba hemp protein powder 25lb container for 200 bucks
I'm investing in that soon.

Vegan, I dropped from the mid 180's to the low 160's then built up a bunch of muscle.

So I gather from this discussion that people have protein shakes before a workout? I have avoided this and had them after workouts, but I have no scientific reason for this and I'm a relative newbie.
It depends on how far ahead of the workout you're talking about. Some people have a light protein shake (10 - 20 grams) a couple of hours before a workout, while others will swear more along carbohydrates. I'm more about having carbohydrates and a little bit of protein a couple of hours before said workout.

I'll add mine sometime tomorrow.

You know damn well I'm sticking around, Rob. I normally keep my head out of conversations like that (unless something does need the occasional moderation), but being able to discuss more things that just not eating meat and milk and what exercises for what bodyparts does show an evolution.
