  1. Perfect! I have been trying for months to figure out how to melt that stuff! I was starting to think I might need a blow torch! Okay, next pizza is going under the broiler!
  2. That has been and still is true. People are not allowed to take their pets on the rescue boats or buses. They are being forced to leave them behind. The only thing that has changed is that animal relief organizations are being allowed in to the city. That is a welcome change, but doesn't make up for the fact that they are forcing people to leave their animals behind.
  3. Helllo Bronco! I would say benching 110kg is heavy lifting. Welcome mate.
  4. Hi Jay, my low protein friend. Good your back is doing well and cool to see you on th is board!
  5. Another set of pics posted by Daniel on Vegan Fitness:
  6. This quote is from an article I posted in the Biodiesel thread a while back. I was not happy to see that even biodiesel is being corrupted!!! This plant is opening end of 2005 in Pennsylvania and planning to produce 10 million gallons per year. I wonder how much of it will be dead animals!
  7. Apparently white people "find" stuff and black people "loot" stuff. Unbelievable!!!
  8. That would be cool ash. It is quite a haul from the beach though, about 180 miles. Should take about 4 hours each way.
  9. Rob, just think Purple Speedo! Believe me brother, we have already seen more of you than we ever wanted!
  10. It doesn't get any more girly than http://www.alternativeoutfitters.com/ and if they don't have what you are looking for try http://www.mooshoes.com/
  11. Fantasticly heavy lift mate! Don't slack off though, I've only got 13 pounds to catch you.
  12. Even more awesome than the sheep having freedom is the people having freedom. We were abled to wander around the sheep fields as we pleased. There are no "No Trespassing" signs and nobody came out to yell at us. I think "walker's rights" are taken pretty seriously in the UK. People seem to have a good bit of respect for other's property too, which makes the system more practical than it would be in the U.S.
  13. Williamsburg is frustrating, the only place I have found there to eat is Nawab Indian Cuisine. They have a lot of vegan choices that are clearly marked vegan on the menu, I really appreciate that there is no guesswork involved here. http://www.nawabonline.com If you get a chance, the 30-45 minute drive to Norfolk is worth it for the pizza and ice cream.
  14. Agreed, Pete is a cool dude! Welcome to the board mate!
  15. I just got my confirmation email for this event, we have a table folks! Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness will be represented in Charlottesville. Anybody care to join me for the table? If not, just stop by and say hello!
  16. What a lovely Sunday with Josie. We spent the afternoon body surfing and sunning ourselves at Virginia Beach. Waves were 4-5 feet tall with white caps and even a few curls. My body board would barely float with my big ass on it, but that's a different story. After our day at the beach we headed to Norfolk for pizza and ice cream. Both exceeded our expectations. The pizza was from a place called Bella Pizzaria, not a vegan shop at all but they now offer the option of Follow Your Heart brand soy cheese. While we were there about half the customers who came in were there for the soy cheese pizza! Awesome! Then we strolled down the street to KB's Custard for some soy soft serve. Again this wasn't a vegan place, but about half the people that came in while we were there were ordering soy. We both opted for the vanilla with brownie dough mixed in, I had chocolate syrup on top and Josie had peanut butter sauce. This was the best soy ice cream I have ever had. The only down side of the day was driving past PeTA headquarters on the way home. We marveled at their new waterfront high rise with two yachts parked out back. Way to spend contributors money PeTA!
  17. I'm having the same problem, couldn't update my log all weekend and still can't. I emaile Rob, but haven't heard back yet.
  18. Richard, you are too funny man! Next time I'm in "A village near Great Yarmouth" I'll have to stop by and say hello.
  19. Hmm, something lost in the translation here. Horseradish is a vegetable.
  20. Apparently not, unless fish are vegetables.
  21. Nationmaster.com is awesome for statistics. They list the United States as 30% for the tax rate and Netherlands at 42.3%. We still end up paying though or doing without needed services such as health care and education. http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/tax_tot_tax_wed_sin_wor Looks like the U.S. is doing pretty well in producing college graduates, but others are catching up and passing us by. http://www.commondreams.org/headlines/051700-01.htm
  22. Whaaaaaattttttttt? SHeep walking around? WHy? How? when? Where? Tell me!!!!! Aww that must have been so awesssome to see! I hope no harm comes to them. We spent a lovely afternoon napping in a sheep pasture, practicing yoga and climbing trees. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/michaelhobson/4c11.jpg
  23. I usually fluctuate up to 3 pounds from day to day. Even though my gym has a really expensive digital scale, I can get on twice and get readings up to two pounds different.
  24. Thanks K! Some day I will catch up with your 475 pound bench pressing, but for now it's baby steps. I didn't know you were up to 280 dude! That's insane, I guess you are cutting now? Or did you just stop eating everything you could get in your mouth. I hope you are doing some before and after pics. I want to hit 250+ this winter and then cut down in time for Vegan Vacation 2006! I don't know if the guy is interested in veganism or not, he wasn't even sure what it meant until today. Since his goals are big and strong, I'm glad that's the first impression he got of veganism. There are a couple of weeks yet before he goes back to high school, I'll point him to this site before I don't see him any more. Too bad you are so far away Kollision, we could get together and work on my bench and your deads.
