  1. like i said in my other post, thats the one i was thinking about, i have no martial arts experience as of yet is it dificult to start? and is it brutal?
  2. i was walking past the news agent yesterday and lo and behold theres one just opened up
  3. Cool, I do about 3 mins on the rower as a warm up as I prefer it
  4. But the question I'm asking is if I'm trying to slap on the muscle at the moment will cardio impare that?
  5. I don't want to do a martial art to learn to fight, I'm a staunch pacifist but to helpe get in to better shape, aikido uses the minimal amount if effort for the maximum result, so I don't think it's for me
  6. Thinking of supplementing my training with martial arts classes, but have no idea which to start, any recommendations?
  7. As long as you don't half kill your self on your bike I'm sure it'll be ok, I'm constantly walking with my job, upwards of ten miles a day but you should be fine
  8. Already started:) only one picture up so far, and I love a good quote, who said that?
  9. Tell me about it, it's scary how much is involved, I already sleep pretty well just trying to up it to about 8hours a night, I'm constantly tweaking my diet and trying new foods, problem is I have. Very stressful job, I'll post my training plan later
  10. As I said I am new to all this:) way too much info flying about. Guayule for the help guys
  11. And yeah Sasquatch I have a good routine at the minute, building up the base strength with compounds and body weights then the big work kicks in
  12. Looks awesome, a little too advanced for me at the moment
  13. That's what I'm unsure of, I have no o e I can ask directly so I'm reading up alot and there's an awful lot of conjecture, I've fallen on the view that if your maintaining the muscle mass you already have then cardio is fine but never straight after lifting. But you can do the two seperTly at different times of the day, but if your trying to gain mass and especially if your trying to gain a significant ammount then cardios a no no. Please put me right if this is false.
  14. YeH cool that's exactly what I've been doing, thank you
  15. Yeah I'm totally the same, I don't want to be huge, I want to be lean kinda like brad Pitt in fight club
  16. i know this is a really silly question but how does everyone chart their gains? ive heard i should use a soft tape measure, should i do it flexed or not flexed?
  17. cool, so i guess im bulking right now then:), ill save the cutting for the warm months
  18. im new to the whole bulking and cutting thing, can you explain it to me? im quite astute so you dont need to use laymans terms haha
  19. Yeah true, I've been vegetarian for nearly ten years and vegan for about a year and a half, I've always been strict with no animal products but got lazy with eating fatty vegan food so decided to lose the pudding, joined the gym and got sucked in to weights haha so I'm eating extremely healthy again but the fat loss has kinda taken a back seat to putting on muscle, but I'm going for the mentality of once I start losing the fat and I've got a nice ambling of muscle underneath then that's even better, plus eating so well my energy levels have gone through the roof even though I am working two jobs, so I guess my metabolisms going into over drive so the fat should just go anyways, I might start introducing light cardio into my non lifting days just to give myself a boost, what day recon?
  20. im not gonna deny it i want to look good, if some one says they dont theyre lying, but its health thats driving me, im just sick of being lazy
