  1. Look forward to seeing how you go with the 5/3/1, it's pretty foolproof and the gains should come slow and steady. You just have to stick to the programme and work hard, same as all of them I guess. You have a good weekend? Did it stop raining?
  2. Sounds like that would have been a pretty mental gig ?! Yikes, that's a hard leg session mate. You have some time off training to recover now? Hope you had a great weekend ~ seems like you did MF.
  3. A nice big welcome to the forum 'Mum', look forward to seeing you posting more around the board. Congrats on your changes, 4 days a week is a fantastic start and I'm sure that will only increase as time goes on. This is a great reference point and everyone on here is ready to help and share their advice when/if you need it. Feel free to start up a training journal so that we can follow along and see what you are up to. Props to you for getting that early to train, that certainly takes some discipline! All the best with your fitness, diet and health goals for the upcoming year MF.
  4. Welcome to the forum Kayla, great to have you here and interesting to read about your switch to being GF. I'm sure that has made such a massive difference! I look forward to seeing you posting more around the board. Feel free to start up a training journal so that we can follow along and see what you are up to. All the best with your goals for this brand new year MF.
  5. It was a good week of training, despite not being able to get out for that 16km run. I ate an amazing curry (extremely hot) and knew it wouldn't have been wise! Here's my training for last week... TUE 14th: 7.1km / 36.50 / ave 11.57kph (fasted morning run) 13.9km / 1:12.00 / ave 11.58kph (evening run) THU 16th: 5.5km / 27.10 / ave 12.26kph (fasted morning run) 5.5km / 25.25 / ave 13.10kph (night run) SAT 18th: 20.5km / 1:49.00 / ave 11.28kph (recovery) TOTAL: 52.6km

  7. Hopefully a sub 3.30 this year. Good luck Hobbs, I have a friend running Paris this year. Said it's an amazing race MF.
  8. Awesome, will subscribe to your channel as soon as I get back home from holiday. Keep killing the workouts, I'm jealous of your beastly strength haha. Serious question: Do you regard yourself as naturally strong, or do you have to work really hard for it?
  9. Cool. I'm away having a break for a few days, will subscribe to your channel when I get back home MF.
  10. Very cool, looks good mate. Don't crack your tiles though hehe
  11. Has been a good quality week of training. Headed over to a thermal resort with the family for a few days, out for a 16km run later tonight which will bring my total for this week to around the 70km mark. Definitely getting both stronger & faster.

  13. Do you have any vids of you lifting mate? Would love to have a look at your style/technique seeing as you aren't that much bigger than I am in terms of bodyweight
  14. Nice shoes, they do some good stuff especially in the barefoot ranges. Nice to see someone else doing the Klokov's, great exercise. Have a good weekend MF.
  15. 100kg? Holy crap, you'll look like an absolute behemoth mate!
  16. Interview from the upcoming national Hardy's magazine http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/forum/download/file.php?id=3371

  18. Here's a sneak peak at my upcoming interview, if it can influence even one person to stop eating meat then I'll be stoked
  19. Thanks Mike! Yesterday was a shorter duration, slightly higher intensity day. Ran a moderate paced 5.5km in the morning (picked up over the last couple of km's) in 27mins. Went back out and ran the same route in the evening as a tempo run and managed 25mins. Felt really strong and fast throughout that run which was encouraging. Good training week so far, off to Hanmer thermal resort again this weekend to unwind, nice end to a busy week.

  21. Welcome to the forum, great to have you here buddy I like creatine and do incorporate it quite often, not so much when I am running but definately when I am lifting and trying to gain strength and/or size. Make sure you keep your water intake up when you are using it, I'd be aiming for at least 10g per day and opt for the micronised powder over regular monohydrate. If you have a sensitive stomach then the Kre-Alkalyn capsules are also pretty good.
  22. The last program I ran was The Cube Method and I really liked it. Simple, adaptable and I always felt energised and ready to go for every workout. To me it was like Wendler's 5/3/1 on steroids, not that his stuff is inferior but I just believe the gains from 5/3/1 come a lot slower and steadier than they do with The Cube.
