I've been in Baltimore, MD for about 18 months and don't know any vegans or raw foodie folks, other than myself. Give me a shout out if you live in the area.

I was thinking about buying one of those therapeutic foam rollers to do some preventative IT band work. I wouldn't mind saving postage and time. Anyone know of a good place to buy one in the area?

Hey everyone, I haven't been on the forum in more than a week. Just a quick update. I won't have a VB&F table at the AR Conf. after all. I don't have the funds to make it happen, nor anything to have at it. I'm totally out of clothing, DVDs, books and everything else. I'm even debating attending the festival at all. I'm in Texas at the moment, been living out of my car for a week. I'm now the real life Matt Foley from Saturday Night Live, the motivational speaker who lives in a van down by the river! I have a place to stay for free in DC, but I have to get myself there and register for the conference and things like that. I am scheduled to lead fitness classe…

Anyone from the area or have been there? I'll be there on business for the next two weeks and am looking for restaurant recommendations. According to happycow there's no vegetarian places other than Indian (which I like), though plenty of veggie-friendly ones. I guess I'm spoiled being smack between NYC and Philadelphia. Any experiences?

Hi all, I have 2 good friends in Austin to show me around but neither of them have lived there that long so I thought I'd drop a line on here and ask too. Any recommendations for restaurants? Also specifically I would love some vegetarian BBQ, I googled it but couldn't seem to find any. Its Austin, there must be some though I know it! Please let me know, -Dylan

The Vegetarian Society Of Washington D.C. had their vegan Thanksgiving celebration covered on the local news yesterday. It is a very good piece and it is inspiring to see such good coverage. Wendy Reiger is the local newswoman in the clip. In the last few years she has become interested in animal issues and vegetarianism. She has given the local vegan and AR groups in the D.C. area a lot of support.

Hello All! I haven't been active on here in quite awhile but I'm hoping someone knows of a place that will work for me. Having my own (very small) house or apartment would be great but I'm happy to live in a house with other folks and even something like a nice shed or garage could work. I have a great rental and job history including both here in Portland for several years now. My diet is vegan, I don't smoke or use drugs and almost never drink alcohol. I will not have or want to have any companion animals living with me but I have no allergies or aversions to having any of your animal friends around. It would be great to live in a vegan house! My budget is about $4…

Hey Portlanders, I'm opening a Vegan & Raw food cart in Spring! After being laid up with knee surgery, I had time to evaluate my goals and realized that they didn't really jive with what I was doing. Then I went and saw Gary Vaynerchuk at Powell's, on Robert's suggestion, and decided it's about time to start doing what I really enjoy, cooking up the best vegan food around! Portland is the best town for vegan & raw food, but there's still far too few vegan & raw restaurants, not to mention food carts. I'll be serving lasagna, chili, mac & chreese, seitan, mashed potatoes, and other soul warming dishes, as well as a variety of raw delights I've been develo…

Hi, From reading a coupla threads here it seems like a few of you like 24, which I've never used...I am currently a member @ Lloyd AC but the new 24 @ SE Mcloughlin & Holgate is going to be 5 blocks from my house, plus I am a night owl & could use the late night access. Also I was thinking of trying Loprinzi's also as I read they are powerlifting friendly & I'm interested in moving towards PL training late summer-ish. I know these 2 places are quite different but I'm undecided, perhaps I'll join them both Any suggestions?

Im going to try my hardest to move up in May or June. Im going to finish college up there and hopefully live there the rest of my life (Oklahoma calls me sometimes. Damn I miss the Tornado Alley). Anyways. I have a few questions: Im a writer. Although I havent published anything yet, its a goal of mine. I heard that its harder to get recognize in places like California, Oregon, and New York because the art communities there are so big that its filled with people trying to make it big you just kinda get looked over. Is that true? Also. Has anyone gone to PSU before? Im looking into off campus apartment housing that the school provides. Are these good places? …

Wow crazy a friend of mine sent me this link and told me about it. It brings around this time when I was also hit by one of these careless drivers and taken to the hospital. ----- Two cyclists were taken to hospital and several others injured after a car drove into a pack of 20 riders in North Saanich. About 20 cyclists from a Victoria-area riding club were traveling west on Lands End Road around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday when a passing car veered into them after being hit by a second car turning onto the road. Several riders hit the ground. Sidney/North Saanich RCMP and B.C. Ambulance crews were alerted and arrived shortly after the crash. Two of the cyclists we…
