Question does it bother you that vegan foods or even something like french fries is cooked in the same oil as the meat, or with the meat?

You would think that now Australia is the Worlds Fattest Nation, that people would shy away from this sort of thing... Apparently Not. (I realise you can probably get a 1000 Calorie Burger in the USA pretty Easily, but this was never the case in Australia) Negative publicity from health experts about a “monstrous” four-patty burger has apparently only fuelled demand for the 4520Kj snack, which has gone on sale in Australia this week. “I thought I would give it a try – after reading about how many calories and how much fat it had in it,’ one man told ninemsn as he stood in a fast-food queue. Health experts have roundly criticised the new Quad Burger from Hungry Jacks, …

Straightedge people stop smoking and drinking for the health benefits, but most of the still eat meat!? How does that work? Meat is completely unhealthy! Also for vegans, should we be sxe? Cigarettes contain animal products, I heard liquor (not sure what kind) contained blood and even worms. Many of this products are still being tested on animals. Please let me know what you think.

Have you ever noticed how many people on other Forums are just jerks? I generally don't get on to many of these things but I dabble on another fitness one from time to time. I'm just appalled at the lack of respect people show for one another. I know VBBF isn't immune to such things but it sure is miles ahead of other forums in terms of respect and compassion.

I like the interface, colours and everything, hi-tech look, but I've noticed some small problems... is it doing this only on my computer or everyone else too? I wanted to post in my food journal, but I had to submit it 5 times, logging in and off, before it actually worked. By chance I copied it before to avoid losing it. It never done that with the previous version. Also I have a French keyboard and sometimes use some signs that now appear in weird symbols on this new version of the forum. It does that even with comas and regular English symbols.

Hello everyone, You have probably noticed Daywalker's name is now green. He is one of our NEW moderators. As many of you know or can tell, I have a hard time keeping up with the forum as it gets bigger and busier. So I've invited a couple of people who have been on the forum for a very long time and who are very active on the forum to be Moderators. We will just have a few of them and basically they will help me out with little things. I want to thank all of you for making it quite easy to run the forum, and hardly anyone has been asked to leave. (online poker keeps coming back but soon I'll learn how to block these spammers). I'm new at computer stuff, I'm cer…

Alright you Vegan Vacationers. Its time to let the banana out of its peel...time to let the peanut out of its shell...time to scoop the pit out of the avocado and last but not least...time to germinate the sprout out of the bean. Jamie and I will be getting hitched during the Vegan Vacation. We will likely be doing this on the 5th of August(a Sunday)...one day after Robert goes to another friends wedding. The date is not completely set but it looks to be the most convenient to everyone assuming we want it in Portland. Also we are looking to send out invitations so if your coming we would like to mail them to you before the Vegan Vacation so please forward me you…

This is one of my favorite websites to use. I know a bunch of you are already on here. From what I understand there are around 6 million members worldwide. I've met tons of people on www.myspace.com so I suggest that you check it out. Also, some of my best friends are on there and some of my biggest supporters so it's a great way to keep in touch. Basically, it is a site for friends, groups, businesses, and everything else. You get to create your own mini website within their website and post photos, articles, share stories, add links, promote products and companies, etc. A vegan girl named Meredith from California introduced me to that site back in September and …

We finally got the Vegan Fitness - Built Naturally Trailer online. It's on the front page of www.veganbodybuilding.com So check it out! Our original trailer that some of you have seen is 3 minutes long and includes some talking. This 70-second trailer online now is just action, but you'll get a good feel for what it's about. You can also read the text description that is on the front page which explains more about the film. I know some of you may have to download a program to watch it. Sorry about that. We'll try to get it up there under multiple formats soon. Feel free to let us know what you think. We'll be taking pre-orders soon and the movie is due out…

What hobbies & collections do you have? I have had several collections starting with sports cards when I was younger. Now I have this strange collection of beer coasters with a sports theme on them. I also have a collection of bottles. I feel drawn to bottles with different colouring or imprinted designs.

Ive talked to several people recently about veganism and they all ask me if its expensive. I'm wondering if any of you have a good explanation for this. What have these people heard to make them ask such a thing?

http://www.denisenicole.com/images/arc.jpg This lady has obviously spent much time on her body and I dont' want to draw away from the work that she has accomplished. She obviously has worked hard, good job! I have cropped a portion of the photo for her privacy. My question is, do the majority of the opposite sex find this attractive? (please be constructive in your replies)

First and formost, I love being vegan/raw. Its a lifestyle for me, and I will never turn back. Now that that is out of the way, I have lost my passion for animal rights. Or lets say, I have lost my willingness to do things about animal rights. Watching those PETA videos, Meet Your Meat, Anti-Vivisection, and Fur Farm videos still piss me the hell off, but I really dont do much about it anymore. Let me give you a brief history of what I have gone through: Turned vegan 6 years ago. Started protesting immediatly. Protested for the majority of those 5 years. Somewhere last year/beginning of the year didnt want to protest anymore. I still volunteer at animal rescues, but…
