  1. The biggest vbb meetup in Scandinavia in the history of this board took place yesterday in Stockholm. Tuc has pictures.
  2. This one's for robert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8ZYK9LcEpQ
  3. Dude me to. Honestly, I love paying taxes and all that shit but people need to take care of themselves because I don't want to pay for everyones stupidity/ignorance. +1
  4. I have a G5 2Ghz x 2 and an intel mac mini at home. The mini has dual boot the G5 is my main machine. At work I have an intel iMac (dual boot) where I test run stuff. It's inside an microsoft enterprise environment and it works really well. We use AdmitMac to put the macs in the AD. I've also played around with Ubuntu a bit. One of our mail servers (it's on the outside of the isa) is a HP-UX machine that uses ksh as a shell and I do minor stuff on that one too. The microsoft server products works really well and if you put clients on these system you'll get a good environment for a decent price IMO. Standalone, Mac or Linux (read Ubuntu) takes the price.
  5. I love the whole Mediterranean area. It looks awesome. Eat to live is a must read
  6. Aside from the obvious ones (carrots, beets, apples) I like to juice kohlrabbi, brussel sprouts, broccoli, rutabaga, turnips, among other things. I've tried onions and garlic too and it was nasty. I think you can have a little of them though. I hear people are juicing sprouts too.
  7. McCain looks half dead zombie already. This insane woman-person will most likely lead the country. If she does (or even if just MCain wins) I think most of the other civilized world will just give up on the US. She is clinically insane. I and anyone I've talked to (friends and coworkers) thinks the same. Laugh is all one can do, it's tragic. And McCain is gaining on Obama.........
  8. I've started doing modern dance again. Awesome! Also got some krumping in my schedule. Awesome! The new semester is on and I'm loving it. Did 4hrs today
  9. How about TVP? Isn't that low carb? And there plenty of vegan protein isolates (rice, hemp, pea, soy) that could be used. It would of course be extremely unhealthy but then again I would find it very challenging to find a low-carb diet that is healthy.
  10. I love eating loads of food so I fewer, bigger meals is more appealing to me. The reason why you should eat often is that it boosts metabolism somewhat. However, I'm not sure it's healthy to do that.
  11. Your body tells you different when you eat different for awhile. This tells me that it is not the body doing the talking but the mind. I didn't like spirulina from scratch but now I don't like my smoothies without it.
  12. Try using more tubers. This time of year potatoes are great. You can just dip them in hummus. Also don't forget the bean substitutes like natto, tempeh and tofu.
  13. Who said that the laws of thermodynamics are facts? We don't know everything there is to know about energy and it's states.
  14. Why would he have to move to the country to be a vegetarian?
  15. If I came to a board where people claimed to get big muscles thanks to Danton the cosmic poodle and noone challenged this view I would laugh and move on.
  16. No. All the EAA's are there in large enough amounts. If you only eat bread you will die of some kind of deficiency but not from any EAA. Look it up on nutritiondata!
  17. I'm on another, swedish board for training and BB. Almost every thread is in some way related to protein and almost everybody is concerned about complete protein. I thought this was an outdated and meaninless concept? There is no way to get EAA deficiencies from what I understand. I understand the positive sides of gobbling down whey and casein since it will speed up muscle building (because of what it does hormonally to the body, after all it's ment to build cows) but worrying about EAAs? Any input?
  18. Richard, it's not about avoiding conflict. In other areas of this board if someone claims something we can make them back it up. This is not welcomed in this part of the forum and it's not good. This forum is supposed to be an epitome of facts about plant-based diet in conjuncture with bodybuilding and fitness. Since this combination is rather new there will of course be testing and discussions about results and causations between different approaches. These discussions have to take place IMO and they are apparently not welcomed in the raw forum. It's all about saving the forums credibility. I think something needs to be done. I'm with DV on this one.
  19. I feel like I am in the matrix all the time.
