  1. The show is anti-vegan. Why would a vegan want to watch that? The whole show is making fun of vegans.
  2. I'd do it. I'd tell him good health is his absolute right. Personally I think it is those who would tell him he does not have that right (basically meaning that he deserves to have that disease) who are in the wrong.
  3. Interesting concept, but it flies in the face of reality. Explain yourself.
  4. VERY well said Theresa! Good health is a RIGHT of all people who desire it and are willing to make the effort. Personally I don't use any supplements. I eat mostly whole foods to keep healthy. I think you should go for it - make the cheaper product. You could even donate part of the profits to a charitable organization, if you want to, of course.
  5. Wonderful! You are a great example to your clients. Though I think the excuses are made more out of fair of failure than laziness... they are afraid they won't be able to so they figure it's best to not try, then try to justify that reasoning. I think it's incredible that you help them overcome their fears and transform their bodies the way you have.

Can't he be sued for that? That's ing. I agree! that is just so wrong I can't speak!!! I know. You should NEVER lie to someone about what's in their food, for ANY reason.
  7. Minus the non-vegan stuff your diet definitely looks healthy, but I'm surprised you can stick to it; I can't stand bad-tasting or boring food.
  8. Same here. But I'm bulking right now. Eating feels like a chore at the moment but in September when I start to try to lose the fat I'll have gained I'm probably going to miss struggling to eat a lot. Anyway, welcome to the forum, govegan.
  9. Uh, where's the joke in that? Seems like a reasonable thing to put on an invitation if you want people to bring swim wear.
  10. Are you actually HUNGRY - meaning you feel the slight burning/tingling sensation IN YOUR STOMACH, or is the only "hunger" in your head? If it is the latter, you are being driven to eat by something other than actual hunger, such as stress or boredom, and need to work on the underlying issue or find some other way to cope (a more short term solution). If the former, go ahead and eat because it means you haven't consumed enough; you may just need more calories than most.
  11. People aren't convinced by logic. Most people cannot really follow a logical thought process. That's why they think: Humans have pointed teeth therefore eating meat is natural therefore eating meat is right. Obviously, both conclusions are wrong, even assuming the previous one is right. But people don't seem to really be able to comprehend such things. With all issues, most people seem to base their opinions on convenience rather than actually thinking things out. That's why human consciousness evolves so slowly... if people suddenly decided to start thinking things out human consciousness would evolve in a matter of days rather than over centuries. It's often frustrating for me and I wonder if humans have always been this stupid and easily manipulated. Can you believe people still hit their kids!? Can you believe people still eat the carcasses of dead animals!? And we call ourselves civilized.

  13. My new motto has actually worked out really well for me. I love it when people make some snarky comment and look at me ready for me to defend myself, then look completely shocked and taken aback when I agree with them. One person stuttered something like, "Oh... oh, well, PETA kills animals!" "You're right, with PETA killing animals, being a vegan is just ridiculous. But what can I say? I'm a ridiculous person." The expression was priceless. Ah yes, I love having let go of the responsibility of having to give people a good impression of veganism. I can get angry if I feel it, I can throw things, I can be outrageously opinionated and bossy, I can ENJOY a salad in public (I used to say I hated salads because I didn't want people to think that was all I ate, but why? I can eat a salad if I want.), I can feel tired all day and run out of breath on nature hikes and have to turn back, and if anyone tries to blame it on my diet, I just agree! Spending all of my time trying not to conform to stereotypes was really unpleasant. Now I've released that need and I'm having a lot more fun.
  14. It can be unavoidable. My mom asked me the same thing! My reaction was the same and I told her I wouldn't be visiting that year. I hung up. Some might think that was over the top but honestly if she's asking me to eat animal products she clearly doesn't understand what this means to me. Another year she cooked an otherwise vegan meal for me in butter, then didn't tell me until half way through the meal. Oh, but it was "just a little bit." We don't really speak that much anymore.

Nope. That guy is a jerk. Long ago I watched part of an episode where he was shouting and cursing at the participants the entire time and criticizing anyone who had a problem with using veil in their recipes. Later I gave his other show a chance, and turned it off after he referred to veganism as a "gimmick."

David Foster is angry with stepsons Brandon and Brody Jenner. He views them as lazy, and resents that they are living the high life on his dime. After coming home one day to find the home trashed for a 21st birthday bash, David is furious, sends everyone home, and the next day sits down with Brandon and Brody and tells them he thinks it's time they move out and support themselves. But they will have none of that. They eventually compromise that they will start paying rent. With the help of their friend Spencer Pratt, Brandon and Brody come up with creative ways to make money to pay the rent. They have a car wash - which is such a big success they end up trapping one of David's clients in the line of cars, they have a drive-in screening of an unreleased film - trashing the lawn of David's $40 million Malibu estate, and come up with a few other wacky schemes. David finally gets mad and decides to get even, resulting in a full-fledged "war." Unbelievable.

Yesterday I watched The Princes of Malibu on DVD. I was really surprised to see Spencer Pratt from The Hills on it! He looks so different, even though it was only about a year earlier... you can tell it's he but his hairstyle or something (I'm not exactly sure what it is) suits him much better on this one. His eyes don't look so close together. Anyway, the show was so good I ended up watching all 6 episodes in one sitting. It's really a shame this show didn't run longer than it did.

You haven't watched BB until you've watched BBUK! If you want to watch it, I'd recommend Series 7.
  19. I know but I called and asked this particular bowling ally and they were.

That's the problem with American BB. The whole thing is about the game. That's entertaining for maybe a season if you've never watched a reality show before, but eventually I'd like something new.
  21. I've been invited to go bowling. The bowling ally only has leather shoes and doesn't allow outside shoes on the lanes. Now I'm in a predicament and feeling conflicted. Going bowling would be fun, but would it be ethical?
  22. So do I, depending on your definition of poisonous.
  23. Wow, you must have a great plastic surgeon. Any chance you could say who you use? I'll be needing one myself soon, and am willing to travel.
  24. All elements of the human form point away from eating meat. As a vegan you probably recognize that this is irrelevant to whether or not we should eat meat, but this page is worth having a look at. We match herbivores in every feature, including our teeth. http://michaelbluejay.com/veg/natural.html
  25. I sure think so! I have it every morning. Of course you might have a different opinion. It will be less sweet without the orange juice.
