my cynical side often wonders how much of these shows are truly unscripted There seems to be an awful lot of pandering to the camera going on.

I must admit I rather enjoy those shows too... I actually like the Real Housewives of NY better. You're right about the trainwreck factor!! OMG!!!

didn't make it to the gym at lunch. Ended up meeting my friend for lunch (at leastI ordered a salad) going to the gym after work.... only about a half hour to go! -
I'm sure I'm guilty of a few of those too (not rich bride but others to numerous to mention)
-
Yeah I like it ! I'm hooked Actually I picked up some training tips from the show. And from the trainers looking so fit. It makes me work just as hard. And of course you can't pass up a little drama in reality TV lol I'll give it a shot this summer! I rather like the shows on slice. And one could always use a little extra motivation

no formal workouts on the weekend but I was very active to say the least. out at the cottage and I don't want to look at a lawnmower for a few days!!!! My parents have a cottage at the same lake and they haven't been out for awhile.... the grass was pretty long and they have this old electric mower which took FOREVER to use... had to go over spots three times (and then I had to do the lawn at our own place too!!!) now I'm suffering for it with allergies... cna't stop sneezing this morning a few bike rides, a short run, cutting up some fallen trees.... pretty busy! going to the gym at lunch but I really don't feel like it very much. Hopefully some energy will return before lunch -

wow! everything is just a blur these days I can barely remember what I did last night.... so busy lately There was no workout yesterday but I'm hoping to get to the gym at lunch. The family is going to the cottage for most of the summer tonight (I go out on weekends) This will be make or break for my diet. I'll either eat very poorly or very well as I have complete control on what goes into the shopping cart (my beer consumption may go up though....) -
NFL starting soon... return of VBBF Fantasy Sports?
JW replied to JW's topic in General Fitness/Other Sports
it's pretty fun and makes you even more into the games. you essentially pick a team of players who earn points for your team based upon their performance in their game that week. points are awarded for TD's & yardage gained usually you have a QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's , a TE , a kicker and a team defence once your team is picked you can really spend as little as 5 minutes a week on it no cost involved... just bragging rights -
I've seen bits and pieces of this show but for some reason I just haven't watched enough to form an opinion. is it good?

stat holiday yesterday ( Canada Day ) gym was closed so I just did a pushup/bodyweight squats workout at home and went for a long walk. I'm a big fan of the pushup so it seems to be my fallback exercise whenever I'm travelling or away from the gym. I used to do this pushup workout by Pavel Tsatsouline which was pretty crazy. Pushups in varying degrees of volume on the hour every hour. (a little interesting when you are at work) diet still a problem lately. I just can't get over these cravings. sweets and salty snacks (chips, pretzels....) I just have to get this under control -
a solid thumping!!!

I'm beginning to suspect that I'm having sleep issues. I wake up tired with a headache almost every morning. I have a feeling that my sleep has been fitful lately. I've been waking up a couple times a night (that I'm aware of) Lots of dreaming action lately too..... had an interesting one the other night about how I was getting around the city on a hospital gurney. I would lay on my stomach and was somehow able to get the thing going by kicking my legs. I would travel on the street along the cars ...... analyze that one!!!! My son is officially off to high school next year. Apparently he kicked off some breakdancing mayhem at the grad dance last night. He started busting some moves and pretty soon the DJ was into it and everyone was giving it a try! (I'm sure he will use his social skills wisely in the future) Hoping to get in a psycho pushup session tonight. -
when I was a kid I ate so much borsch my pee was red tinged!! I was pretty freaked out but good ole Baba set me straight

only if you watch that show they're on I had no idea who those two idiots were.... but I certainly know who Lou Diamond Phillips is or even Torrie Wilson for that matter (she was a successful fitness model/competitor before the WWE days)

USA's magical Confederations Cup run is bittersweet
JW replied to a topic in General Fitness/Other Sports
yes, but I do feel they were fortunate not to have been blown out Howard played extremely well, their first goal was a bit odd to say the least (one of those "the ball had eyes" passes) A goal by Brazil was disallowed. Once Brazil wole up the possesion % was extremely lopsided. I have to admit I was in complete shock when the U.S. went up 2-0 Then they were dropping back 8 men to the box in defence and Brazil just came on in waves. Without Howard's performance, it could have easily ended up 5-2 Nevertheless, it was a solid tournament result for the U.S.
