  1. "Real" Mexicans would be Indians (Native Americans).
  2. I completely agree with this. yet I see no revolution in the future. I see no possible new forms of government. As a friend of mine said to me recently, as we were discussing the Patriot Act being re-certified and our consequential desire to emigrate from this fast-becoming police state, most Americans will put up with any and all crap the government throws at them as long as their sitcoms don't get interrupted.
  3. You just wanna be able to wear purple pants.
  4. That's okay, that's pretty close to how the residents say it. It is bad, very bad. Looting is running rampant, the broken levees have yet to be repaired and the water is still rushing in, the rescue services there are having to push aside floating corpses as they attempt to get to the living still trapped. It'll be months before any semblance of normality has returned. I cannot imagine what I'd be thinking if I still lived there, I barely know what to think now. I have found out that my ex-wife left the area and is safe. I don't have any details on whether she got all eight cats and two dogs out with her, or whether she still has a house to return to.
  5. Yeah, he's a hitman. From his last comment in the opening sequence, I believe the girl hired him herself.
  6. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/08/30/katrina/index.html That is some scary, scary shit. I can't tell you how glad I am that I no longer live in NO, or how much, right this moment, I wish my ex-wife didn't still live nearby.
  7. Actually, I believe PETA has been on the FBI's domestic terrorist list for a few years now. I know the ALF has.
  8. "Worth dying for. Worth killing for. Worth going to hell for." I love Marv.
  9. We Virgos are very organized.... bwahahahahahaha!
  10. pssst.... Richard has me backed into a corner, and is scaring me... Please come rescue me!

  12. I'm not German though, not even German-American. And I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on America having its own culture. Don't misunderstand me to think that I'm ashamed of being white. I'm not ashamed of, or feel guilty for, being white, American, male, or any other thing that I didn't have any control over. I just don't find it very interesting.
  13. Nah, I don't care that I'm bloody near 43, I'm still young at heart in a lot of ways. Or immature, depending on your perspective.
  14. Plain old boring white Heinz-57 middle-class American. My last name is German, and I think I look fairly Germanic, but I'm told that I have more English in me than that. It makes no difference to me, 'cause there's no culture that I relate to, anyway. I don't believe Americans have a culture of their own.
  15. Wasn't in the Army, but I am a 20 year military retiree. It'd be difficult to be vegan, if not impossible, especially the first few months when you'd be in basic training and then your MOS training. Going on field exercises would also make it very difficult. There are vegetarian K-rations, but I doubt that there'd be enough that are vegan for you to get through.
  16. Sorry dude, I'm naked without my watch. (Both ears, and lots of other things, but you didn't really wanna know that, did you? )
  17. Final Analysis I had to search IMDB for it, I'm pretty sure I never saw it.
  18. I did a 7 1/2 mile trek through the center of San Francisco stark naked, once. True story. People do it every year, during the annual Bay to Breakers race there.
  19. Hell, I don't care about the year (1962), it's the month and date I usually avoid giving out. But in this case, I guess it'll be okay: Sep. 13. You young'uns better be careful I don't smack you with my cane!
  20. Oooo, that's a good link. Thanks. I have two of the Utilikilts, but they were a little pricey when I both them, and they've gone up. I've lost two or three inches off of my waist since then, so I kinda need to get new ones.
  21. Maybe he meant he was going to take a wheel-barrow full of broken televisions and microwaves with a fig leaf on it. Umm, yeah, sure! That could be it. lol
  22. I can relate to that, I recently had an online conversation with a moron that thought that only vegetarians ate Marmite because it's labelled "suitable for vegetarians". It took a couple of posts to get it through to him that that was no different that the allergy warning labels on U. S. food products. I've tried Marmite, and won't be buying a second jar any time soon. This is great news, it took me a while to discover that Genisoy bars aren't vegan (the bastards), and hadn't found a replacement for them yet. I rarely can be bothered to make protein shakes.
