  1. Hi Robert, I am joining this forum for only two weeks or so and I am still checking all the usefull info here. I have seen that you sell T-shirts. Actually I don't like the blue ones for the gents, sorry. But I do like the sleeveless black and white shirt for women. Just an idea... same colors, same print, but a shirt for men...? What about shorts for men? Norbert
  2. Well, I would prefer Europe, because of the travelling costs, but a vegan holiday in the US or anyway sounds good to me. Norbert
  3. Vinegar is sour and acid, but there is no influence on your PH, because what is sour outside your body doesn't have to remain sour IN your body. Like lemons. There is no danger to eat lot's of lemons or sour apples, because they are neutralized in your body. On the other hand if you would cook an apple (or fruit and vegetable in general) it would be sour IN your body!!! That's why I went completely raw for some time. The effects of apple vinegar are amazing. You can use it for your hair to keep your color or instead of fabric softener for your clothes. It keeps the colors beter (especially if you buy new clothes) and makes your clothes smooth. Just add a little bit to your waching machine. You can also use it for anti-chalk in your coffemachine or kettle. I am whitening my teeth sometimes with apple vinegar (or fresh lemon juice). It removes ugly stains immediately. I am afraid that I only can advise some Dutch and German books about apple vingear. But check the internet and you will find lots of info about it. Norbert
  4. Hi Richard, you cannot damage yourself with vinegar. It tastes sour, but it doesn't work lik an accid in your body. I used only two big spoons of vinegar in a normal glass filled with warm water. 2 or 3 times a day should be enough. Norbert
  5. Hello veggie sports(wo)men, let me introduce myself. I am Norbert from The Netherlands, 33 yrs old and at the very beginning of serious weight training. My goal - simply gain some muscles, losing fat, and create definition. My problem - I hate sports! So, every tip and support is welcome. I am vegetarian since 1992 and vegan for 2 1/2 years. I even was on raw food for some time, but unfortunately I am not strong enough to stick to it. Last month I have started to train with a split program 4 - 6 times a week. For fatburning I try to run at least 3 times a week approx. 45 -60 minutes. Not without results if I may say so. You can find a before and after pic at http://home.wanadoo.nl/maartennijkerk/veganbodybuilding/fotos.htm Now I need to have the energy to keep on going. But sorry guys... bodybuilding is boring. So, if I really want to get more muscles I have to run up a big hill. Drop me a note if you like for tips, chat... whatever. By the way... any Dutch vegan sportsmen around?? Norbert
  6. haha, well, I think that your inner body could need a little support from the outside... Not to forget... as I have told you before I have been 25 when my spots disappeared. I am sure that it was because of vinegar. However I have heard that there are people, who have to suffer from spots even at 30 or older. So, it could still remain a problem of some hormons, couldn't it? But I am not a doctor of course.
  7. Yep, it should work on all areas. I have had really huge spots on my back filled with painfull puss. I am absolutely smooth know. However, I cannot remember that I have used vinegar quite often on my back. So, I think to drink a little every day should be more important than to clean your skin with it, because I believe that an 'unhealthy' skin has its roots somewhere inside of you.
  8. Hi Richard, Yes it should really be apple vinegar. I have found books on amazon. Just search for apple vinegar. I forgot to tell also... you can use it also directly on your spots. Clean your face first. I always used to clean my face with something, because I hade very greasy skin, but now I clean it only with water. Make sure that your hands are clean, pour some vinegar in your hands, apply it on your face and DON'T WASH IT OFF !!! It burns a little bit, but has a great effect. A friend of mine has problems of dry skin in the winter, because of the dry air caused by the heating. He always gets a very red, dry skin in his face. No moisturizer helps. Apple vingar works for him within two days. Good luck.
  9. Hey Richard, I don't know your age, but I have had lots of spots till 25. Lots on my back and in my face. I have tried EVERYTHING ! Nothing has helped. From heavy medicine to natural stuff. Then I have heard of apple vinegar! It is an old "houswife" wonderstuff for lots of problems. I do not know if there is any literature in the UK about it. In The Netherlands and Germany there are lots of books about it. It is absolutely not tasty, but I started to drink three times a day a glass with some vinegar and ( I was not vegan that time) with some honey. The spots disappeared very shortly. It has to do with your intestine. Vinegar supports the bacteriums in your intestine (the largest immune system of your body). I used vinegar only a couple of months, but for me it worked. Now, I am 33 and have a perfect skin all over my body. Hope this helps for you, too.
  10. Well, which cycle? Actually I am trying to build more muscles combined with a light fatburning program (running with a low heartbeat).
  11. Hi veggies, I disapprove any supplements - except soy protein and try to avoid ready-to-serve meals. I have just started with body building two months ago, but getting fine results already. Now I try to get rid of some kilograms. I am absolutely not fat, but have the normal problems with butt and stomach. Some books advise a maximum of carbohydrates of 150 grams. But if I try to reach this limit my energie drops to 2026 kcal. What do I have to eat for energie, but low carbohydrates? What about the fat in peanut butter? High energie, but lotsts of fat. Is this fat better than lots of carbohydrates of e.g. oat, pasta or fruit? I work-out 5-6 times a week and try to run 3-5 times a week on a low intensity. Norbert, The Netherlands[/b]
