  1. 201 today within approx 45 minutes. So, 2000 within one day should be possible I am using push up bars, because I have a broken wrist and cannot do push ups without them.
  2. 1000 !?!?!? Well, sorry guys I have tried it monday and couldn't get any further than 102. In a row I am not able to do more than 11 I will try it again today. Hopefully I reach 200.
  3. A vegan lifestyle means a healthier lifestyle. It could be that your skin is detoxing. I know people with the same experience when they went on raw food. It is part of a cleaning process, which can take some time.
  4. To discover mistakes in yourself and not changing yourself... I call it the biggest mistake.
  5. For all the Dutch people here and anyone, who is in The Netherlands... V-Day in Utrecht 24th september http://www.v-day.nl/
  6. What about sober crazy drivers? You don't even need to drink to ruin someones life. If I see all the documentaries on tv about young and old people, men and women, who are driving much too fast, without any responsibilty, with their mobile phones in one hand... what is worse? I guess in general drinking is not the real problem. It is consciousness we need. People are not aware that they can ruin a life by being unconscious. I used to drive from The Netherlands to Denmark non-stop. Took me 9 hrs. Now I take my time and take more rests, even if it takes me 11 hrs. Safety first!
  7. 5-6 times a week, 60-90 minutes every session, and lots of cardio on the rowing machine.
  8. I am not good in any sports at all, but I like volleyball and played squash for a year.
  9. Veganmadre, just a thought crossed my mind... I don't think that it is necessary to say NO to something just because it is a potential danger. I like a glass of wine and sometimes I would like to be drunk just for fun. I guess it depends more on wether you have control over yourself or not. If you cannot stop drinking and you know that you loose control, you shouldn't drink at all, I agree. But if you only take one drink to relax or for the taste I cannot see any harm in it and then I don't see the need not to drink at all. Just my thought I wanted to share.
  10. If meat is the most reliable source of B12 how do you explain that so many meat eaters suffer from B12 deficincy? Studies indeed show that there are deficincies amongst vegans and meat eaters. Meat is no guarantee and I doubt that it is even reliable. Why are there so many products with added B12? It is the same bullshit with milkproducts. You need milk for calcium they say. But why do we enrich milk products with extra calcium??? Studies show that this is not true, because the B12 in these products cannot be absorbed by the human body. Well, another study will of course show the opposite The B12 produced in our lower intestine is not for our body! It cannot even be absorbed by our body. It is used by bacteriums in our intestine. Keep in mind that B12 is produced by bacteriums. These bacteriums are also on unwashed veggies. The problem is that humans have to wash and clean everything. That's why we have to add B12. But remember, it is not the meat we need for B12. It is a bacterium, which is IN the meat. This makes people believe that we need meat. We don't. We only need other sources for B12. There are also no deficiencies amongst animals, which are vegan!
  11. I have a squat rack, which I also use for benchpress. A flat bench, a long barbell and a shorter one. Also two dumbells. Total weight I can use approx. 100kg. To start with weight training its more than enough. For cardio I do running and I have a second hand rowing machine.
  12. Hi Daywalker, thanks again for your reply. I am getting confused of all the different advises of different people so I decided indeed to work with my own program till end of october just to look how it works for me. One thing about variation... I am not quite sure if humans do have to vary that much with their nutrition. If you look at animals you find lots of species eating the same stuff every single day without loosing muscles. Some thousand years ago people couldn't vary that much like we do now. I guess the value of nutrition is so high at the moment that you don't have to vary a lot. At least if you choose natural, non-processed food. But that's just a thought of mine, which could be completely wrong. Nobbi
  13. I can cut the fat a little. No sunseeds and coconut. The rest should be ok, because 'natural' fat. BUT !!!!!!!!! How to minimize the carbs without loosing energy or bringing the kcal down is still a mirracle to me.
  14. Tattoo? Why not? Why color your hair and not your skin? I have one on my right arm. http://home.wanadoo.nl/maartennijkerk/veganbodybuilding/Foto03.jpg But I would never ever pierce a part of my body. Well, I have had four earrings, which is a piercing, too, but what I mean is tongue, nipple or genitals. I don't like the look of it and it turns me off in a sexual way. But that's very personal of course.
  15. What do you mean? Do you think that 100gr fat is not enough?
  16. Ok, I did increase my kcal intake from 2300 to 3000. I am 176cm (5' 9") and 71kg (157lbs). Main goal to gain muscles and loose fat. 60min cardio every morning for the next 6 weeks and 5 to 6 times work out 1 1/2 hrs in the evening. What do you think? Any comments? (in grams): 200 porridge oats 80 raisins 20 coconut flakes 50 sunflower seeds 20 hazelnuts 200 apple 500 banana 100 orange 200 pasta 200 tofu 20 olive oil 30 soy protein 3143 kcal protein 127,39 grams carbs 454,53 gr. fibres 63,21 gr. fat 100,57 gr.
  17. What do you think is a good post work out nutrition? In my case 60min cardio in the morning and 1 1/2 hrs work out in the evening. 3000 kcal at the moment. What, when and how much?

  19. Hi Daywalker, thanks for taking your time to explain that detailed. Can you explain that one please? Why not? I try to get rid of fat. I always do cardio with a heart rate monitor. This shouldn't effect my muscle grow to much. I have just changed my workout program and increased the intensity of the weight training and at the same time try to do cardio every morning for 60 minutes. Also I did increase my kcal from 2300 to 3000 a day. I am 176cm (5' 9") and 71kg (157lbs). What do you think of 60min cardio in the morning and maybe 30min after the workout for let's say 6 weeks? Nobbi
  20. CUTE !!! Since May I have a new dog too, because the old French Bulldog passed away. This is the new one http://home.wanadoo.nl/maartennijkerk/Casper/Casper1.jpg He has been found in a wood. Dumped there, because he had a tumor in both ears. When my dog passed away I went to an asylum and that very day Casper came in. I couldn't leave him there even the surgery has been 1000,- EUROS (approx $1200,--). So, no vaccation this year But I am happy with him. He is soooooooo ugly but soooooooooo sweet. I have also taken this year to cats out of an asylum http://home.wanadoo.nl/maartennijkerk/Casper/Nickenbambi.jpg They are already 7 and 8 yrs, but had to leave their owner, because Bambi makes to much noise... bullshit. She is just talking and singing. I love to hear it! I hate people who are not taking responsibility for their pets and I think they should be punished. People shouldn't take pets anyway. And breed them??? It should be forbidden.
  21. Do you guys know the book Strength Training Anatomy by Frédéric Delavier? I can recommend it, because of the great drawings.
  22. It seems that the button AIM does not work very well and that it is not clear to every user what the usernames are. Who want's to share her or his screen names to chat more easily? My AIM = vegannobbi My MSN = [email protected] MY ICQ = 210315167 Yahoo messenger = vegannobbi Greets, Nobbi
  23. I didn't have any sample of this stuff, but the price is very high for the low amount protein you get. In The Netherlands you can get 1kg of pure soy protein (95%) for 15 EUROS (approx 19 US$). Maybe it is not tasty as this new product, but I mix it with a banana or some other fruit and it is a perfect shake. Easy to blend also. Unfortunately no website available. Company PK Benelux BV (Lucovitaal Protein 95%).
