  1. This shows again that you can twist the reality with only one simple word. Unbelievable indeed!!! Maybe the white guys looted the bread and soda from the black guy!!!
  2. Tarz, thanks for throwing "salt" into the group. I don't know if sweat can do something against spots, but saltwater (or better The Dead Sea) is known as a perfect medicine. Lots of people with serious skin problems travel to The Dead Sea and come back with wonderfull results.
  3. Hi Tarz, I cannot agree. It got worse in my case. I have had a very greasy skin and sunshine only stimulated my skin to produce even more grease. What helped for other people is completely raw food. It has also helped people with seroius skin problmes (neurodermite). Check this link http://www.nie-mehr-neurodermitis.de/bilder.htm It's German, but the pics tell enough. I keep convinced that with healthy and pure food you reach more than anything else.
  4. Sounds good so far. Keep on using vinegar. I will search an old picture of myself and send it by e-mail to you. i cannot believe myself that I have had so many spots... yeast... for me it didn't work well. It made my spots worse. You can buy special yeast pills. Try it. And... make a before and after pic. Always cool to see progress.
  5. Actually my reason to become vegan was something on tv, showing the transport of cows and other animals from one place to another. Hanging with one leg on a rope of a crane... electro shocks on the farm, chicken in small cages... I could have chosen for biological meat instead, but there are lots of other disadvantages as well. So, I went vegetarian first and 2 1/2 years ago vegan - at least with food. It took me some time to realize also that I don't need leather shoes and non animal tested cosmetics. Well, I am not that intelligent and fast The reason to be vegan could also be health, but I know meat eaters, who are healthier, fitter and in better shape than I will ever be. Talking about health... I still do believe that every single person should find his own personal food. If this is meat, well... then do so. I don't discuss this anymore with people. If you tell me that you only feel fit with meat... what can I say? But for ethical reason I cannot accept meat or animal products anymore. So, I guess I am more vegan, because of ethical reasons and not because of health.

    Hi there, Linsen are lentils.
  7. Both ! But if I have to choose... ripped first, strong second.
  8. Hey guys, this happens when you send Mr. Richard Awesome a picture of yourself. http://home.wanadoo.nl/maartennijkerk/nobbitekening.jpg Damn you Richard... now I have to train harder to look like this Thanks for this fantastic pic. Nobbi
  9. Back to the original question What is your ideal physique?... I really don't want to look like somebody else, but there are lots of cute and well build guys around. For example check this link. http://www.natural-bb.de/phpBB_CMS/index.php?cat=3&topic=46&post=87 My ideal would be to loose fat, build up chest, arms, shoulders and a tight ass. Nothing special I guess. Back to Richard... well, if you are drawing anyway could you make a drawing of me as well? Your drwaings are sooooooooo cool !!!! Here is my pic. http://home.wanadoo.nl/maartennijkerk/Nobbi.jpg You are allowed to add some muscles... Nobbi
  10. It's true that you don't need it, but the production animals sure need a replacement for their suffering. Although people don't need to eat meat, most people still do. So this lab-grown meat can be used feed those meat eaters, and thus lessening the animal suffering. Not only concerning this discussion, but in general I think we should always think in a bigger context. People decide by themselves if they eat meat or not, sure. But what if this lab-meat would be available... Think of the children, who will grow up with lab-meat, because their parents are meat eaters. I hate that thought, because in my opinion everything synthetic is worse than the natural product. I would prefer to eat pure meat than lab-meat. Also I say no to genetic manipulated stuff like soy beans. So, I buy ecological food as much as possible. Veganism is not only thinking of animals and taking care of only them. Think big and also take care of humans and our environment as well !
  11. This is my PERSONAL thought on this matter: I think this is just BULLSHIT !!! It is unbelievable how much money people waste for useless things. Why invent invitro meat??? I am vegan and I am convinced that I do not need any meat at all. Why searching for an alternative for something I do not need? People are not able to use all the good stuff we have on earth. What a shame! Instead of using alle the food we already have, we have to invent something new again. Why??? Just use the right, natural food for your body. I guess we all here are proving that vegan is healthy for humans, even for active vegan sports(wo)men. So, saying yes to invitro meat is taking a step back and could people make believe that there is a need of eating meat. I would never support and approve this. Thumbs down for this silly idea. Nobbi
  12. Richard, but what about rowing and damaged knees? I have workout yesterday and did rowing for 40 minutes. I don't feel pain in my knees, but I feel some "stress" let's say. I have never problems while running. Is it because I have to get used to the rowing movement?
  13. I was wondering if cardio with a rowing machine goes together with bodybuilding. I try to loose fat and instead of running I will try rowing for a while. I have read that with rowing you use 80% of all muscles. So, can I get overtrained with bodybuilding and rowing? And what are your experiences with rowing versus running? I know that running should burn more fat, but what kind of experiences do you have? Nobbi
  14. Hi Daywalker, great info. Thanks. I am wondering what the above means. After only 1 1/2 months I am still an absolute beginner and I doubt that I can increase my weight or reps every next workout. I went from 30kg benchpress to 55kg within 6 weeks. But I do not feel progress every next workout. So, what is improvement? In my case it can take one week to get from 30 to 35kg and than maybe two weeks to get to 40kg. Now I am stuck at 55kg since two weeks. 60kg is nearly impossible at the moment. I try to do exercises as intensive as possible (8-10 reps, but at least 6 reps). Does it make sense to increase your weight every workout even if it is only for 1 or two reps? Or did it just reached a point where I have to use this maximum weight for a couple of weeks untill I can go one step further? Nobbi
  15. Hi Robert, I have checked out the websites of St. Thomas. Sounds great to me. Would be the first time for me to the US and to a Caribean Island. So, I'll go for it. Keep me posted when, how, what, why, why not... Nobbi
  16. Thanks guys for the kind words. Nobbi
  17. I have to admit that in two locations we could have influences on two totally different communities. That's a point. If you think about a vegan fitness week what would it mean anyway? Do you guys have any ideas already what we are going to do? I have never joined a vegan fitness week so I don't know what I can expect. Nobbi
  18. Just a thought of mine... if you decide to be vegan means that you take care of animals. Shouldn't we take also care of the complete environment as well? I mean, why should everybody here travel twice to meet each other (waste of money, gas, lots of pollution...). I think one meeting with all interested vegan (sports-)guys could be enough. What do you think?
  19. Hi guys, if newsletters are annoying for some people you just have to enable a function to subscribe and un-subscribe. In that way everybody could choose for it or not.
  20. Hi Daywalker, absolutely, I would prefer to get in contact with you guys somewhere in Europe (Denmark is my place to be). As you can see I am a beginner and I'd love to get tips on bodybuilding face to face and would like to hang out with you. Nobbi
  21. Hi Robert, another thing. Maybe I am blind, but I cannot see if you can subscribe for a newsletter. Do you write one? I think it would be a good idea to send one once in a while to keep everyone informed about the latest things. For example I am interested in the vegan holiday and it would be a pitty if I mis it, because of not checking the forum daily. Norbert
  22. Hi all, I was wondering if I could use my time more efficently and maybe train in the morning. When do you boys and girls are training? Anyone in the morning? And how intensive? Are you not missing some energy, because you havn't eaten for some hours? What about injuries? Isn't your body stiff and would training in the evening be better, because your body has been "warmed-up" during the day? Norbert
  23. Hi Robert, I am missing a before-after space where people can place before-after pics. This motivates me always and keeps pushing me to reach my own goal. Maybe together with the nutrition and training program. And that you have to register for the chatroom and also the forum is a little minus. Norbert
  24. Hoi Vamprilla, well, you're welcome to The Netherlands, but I think there are more lovely places to visit than Amsterdam. Norbert
