  1. The only 'strange' thing I notice is that the harder I work out the hornier I get. Well, that's no complain
  2. Almost everybody calls me Nobbi. As I am a German living in The Netherlands some make fun of it and call me Heinz or Helmut (obviously typical German Names ). I have studied classical singing so, some call me also Helmut Lotti, who is a Belgian singer. Others call me Füchschen or Fuchsie.
  3. Good question. I also never understood why bulking up. What's the point? It has to be possible to build up muscles without bulking (at least not bulking in an extreme way).
  4. Don't forget to concentrate also on your training. EAT IRON! I was focusing on my nutrition for a while too intensive, but lost my motivation for training and gained too much fat. Now, I am back to my old eating habits, which works best for me and I will increase the intensity of my workout sessions again. I will send you some 'embarrissing' pics of myself. You are not the only one with body 'problems'.
  5. What is embarrassing about a body in progress? Just keep going on and don't loose your motivation. Is your nutrition getting better? Don't forget to eat (healthy)
  6. Kollision, I have to agree with Jonathan and I also don't see the point of this thread, because some people could feel really uncomfortable by choosen as disliked. Concerning the religion and hate thread... in my opinion you shouldn't use the word hate, but for the rest I think it is ok to place every thread you like to discuss with others. Even though I don't feel anything for any religion I can imagine that vegan people think different about general things than other people. So, why not posting a thread about religion if this is an important part of your life and you want to share it with others? Personally I don't need these threads, because this forum is about vegan and bodybuilding. But to be honest, I also don't need a thread about Topher, who is telling that he has plans to live in a car. But if someone wants to share his/her ideas, problems, feelings... why not? This is the General Discussion place anyway. So, why not use it? Concerning the activity on this site... I have to agree that I miss some (sports)activity, too. Let's place more before-after pics, actuall pics, training pics, progress... I have had some lazy weeks with some bad experiments concerning weight training and have to get back on track. I will post some pics and my current training log soon. Best to you from the cold rainy Netherlands, Nobbi
  7. Hate... well, I don't like to be caught in duties. I HAVE to get up at 6am, I HAVE to earn money, I HAVE to go to work and not be late...
  8. Bullshit, you are only fishing for compliments
  9. 1. nothing 2. I am not practicing it, but buddhism is just wonderful to me. 3. I actually didn't change, but I would never choose any religion, because I really don't believe that there is a God or that I have to live my life in a way just because it is written in a book. 4. Not to offend anyone, but any religion (I mean one with a God or a book to live for) sucks.
  10. he wasnt mad, he just cried a lot. but he was just joking. No, I was not joking... I have been mad and cried for days, ate all my birthday cakes on my own and now I am depressed and fat. But hey, I am a Scorpio. I will survive. (thanks anyway for this thread)
  11. Hahaha, I like that It is rather strange to have bread with eggs. Normally bread should be without them, especially if you buy it at an organic store, but I don't know how it is in the US. In The Netherlands we have a wide range of egg and milk free grain products in organic stores.
  12. even though we have the post 'when is your birthday?'... no congratulations for nobbi on november 1st... and chesty leroux 3rd and Crash november 10th... no gifts, no cake, no cheque... happy birthday Topher anyway
  13. Ok. Agree, but generally, do you think that oat fits in raw diet?
  14. Yes Ecover is also popular also in The Netherlands, but I prefer Sonett, which is much better for the envoirnment. http://www.sonett-online.de/
  15. Bigbwii, what do you think of dry food? I like it a lot, but of course it is not in a natural state anymore. And what about grains like oat? It's a good source for carbs and protein, but I don't know if it can do harm to your body. In Germany there was a big discussion about using grains at all. Some 'gurus' said that grains are the enimy no. 1 for your body. I have read some very interesting books about this and I try to avoid bread as much as possible, but, I have to admit.. I am addicted to bread. Today is my firts day of going 100% raw again. I have been raw some years ago for a couple of months and I felt fine. But I am so addicted to 'tasty' cooked food and I have no discipline And by the way, what do you think of soy protein? Do you have any idea how it is been made?
  16. Richard, I am always worried about this question. When people start to try a new diet they are always wondering how they can get their RDA of vitamins, calcium... The question should be do we get get our 100% RDA with our 'normal' cooked diet? My opinion is that you get as much as you need if you eat as natural (what ever that is) as possible and I do believe that the 100% RDA is bullshit. Where is the RDA based on? On a smoking, meat eating, non-sporting alcoholic? Well, in that case my need of vitamins and other stuff is much lower, because I am living healthy anyway.
  17. How do you guys motivate yourselfs to workout? I have found out that I can (very) easily transform my body. From fat to thin within short time, gaining muscles with dedicated training every day for weeks... but I ALWAYS fall back to where I have started - too fat, no muscles When my work is full of stress, when I have to do some work in my house, relation problems, bad nutrition... the first thing I drop is my workout. Not only that, sometimes I am just tired to work out (my day starts at 6.30 am). I made some great results last summer and built up my chest very well. To see that progress helps me to go on, but somehow I am not motivated enough or mentally not strong enough to go on and on and on. I am convinced that I will never become a bodybuilder (which I don't want to, because I don't like the look of them - sorry guys), but I am totally convinced that I can transform my body to a shredded, muscled body. BUT HOW? How can I stuck to my diet and training? Do you have the same problem and if so, what helps you to go on?
  18. I just can say WOOOOOOW !!!
  19. I have got a rowing machine like the second picture. It is a totally different feeling of rowing than the first one. I would always advise you to invest in the type of the second pic. I paid approx $250,-- and it can also be stored very easily. I don't know if it is better for training, but the movement feels just better.
  20. Congratulations ! Only 2nd, but a guy like you, who motivates lots of people to be vegan and who has such a great body still remains number 1 for me. Well done !
  21. Is this a typing mistake ????? FAR MORE THAN 300 KG? I stuck at 75kg at the moment. And squat 75 kg, too. I am 176cm and 72 kgs.
  22. What do you think of using gravity boots. I am using them for my abs. Any of you have some experience with gravity boots and how does it effect your body?
  23. I have had the same question for Robert some time ago. My butt is not small at all, but lost its roundings and muscles a little, because I never worked out. Robert advised lunges for the butt. It makes my butt feel very sour and combined with good mornings it is a great workout for me. I also do squats as much as possible and I am using a close stand with parallel legs. Maybe I should pass the parallel stand to feel the butt a litlle bit more.
