God i wish that i could have been with all of my college friends on NYE. I was with my old buddy from high school but we were at his girlfriends house and the other people there were the sort of people who i tried to escape by going to college. On the upside they made me vegan pesto, vegan pasta, vegan salad, vegan potato dumplings and they had olive oil. Good eats, good company save for some n00bs. And the Bears lost. Hehe you look mildly drunk in that last pic.

It's one of my shirts that isn't a band or from a school music thingy(marching band or show choir combo) so i used it to make it seem like i was dressed up.

Yea we're redoing our entire kitchen this summer and we're getting gas appliances in there. My mom hates them. And now that i cook i hate them too. No alcohol i think i was just grinning like crazy to be weird. The stir fry was a Trader Joes "Asian Dipping sauce" that i added water to to make less saucey. I think stir fried everything in peanut oil.

I try and stay positive but there are always frustrating aspects of the holidays. It's when everybody comes together and sometimes clash. The booze sure doesn't help although this year it caused some funny discussion about how my dad has a huge head and my uncle has a small one.

Well i had to get over the smell of burnt flesh but my aunt did make me a special salad without egg or bacon. (i never could stand bacon on salad EVER) Everybody was pretty drunk save the designated drivers(thankfully) so that was of course obnoxious. It's one thing when i'm with friends at college but being around your family in that situation is so fucking annoying/weird. Also my mom was being a nutcase yesterday(she does it every year) and blaming us for being insensitive when really none of us had any clue as to what the big deal was. Apparently we weren't helping out enough and we had to figure that out for ourselves. Remember ladies, us guys will help you if you just say "could i please have some help?". Besides that everything was amazing and i had a great time. Got lots of awesome vinyl/music and my digital camera i've been longing for. Can't wait to visit my moms side of the family in michigan. I was going to go to Ann Arbor but apparently it's too "out of the way"(which was my point in going there in the first place). Grand Rapids is still cool. And if anybody knows of a vegan/vegetarian restaurant that has been hiding from me please fill me in.

Glad you enjoyed the crotch shot there. I'm the only full vegan although my mom is almost there. Everybody who tried the tofu liked it a lot. Peanut oil is the key to stir frying(i'd like to thank Isa Chandra Moskowitz for that) and everything was yummy. Also had a really good marinade going. I could probably convert my bro because he's extremely athletic. We're going protein powder shopping and there's no way in hell he's getting Whey protein. Everything i tell him to eat to get bigger is vegan. It's sad how kids think if you eat a steak/chicken/carcass(same thing) you'll put on weight and muscle when really all you're doing is setting yourself for a triple bypass in 30 years.

I only got one CD for xmas and that's because the band is too Crusty and anarchist to press vinyl. (aka they're too poor ) Love me some vinyl.

We left one song off because we didn't have lyrics. Hopefully next semester will have a 5 song EP. Gonna be called "Milliska: Recital Credit". Total inside joke for our university but whatever. Glad you liked it. Some of the stuff is a little rough(out of tune, some of my drum fills are weird on kiss the girl) but we're gonna fix it all up. Might even press some vinyl.

Well they have them in the store bulk out of one of those big dispenser thingies. Then you write the Bin # on them and go check out. http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/ They're a national grocery store chain, but they don't have them in some areas i know. I don't think they're over in europe either, and i'm not sure of which continent you're on. Pine nuts are fine in pesto, i just can't eat them plain or even with anything. Blended in pesto is the only way.
