  1. I think food consumption is key to this. I generally do not eat anything more than maybe a protein shake or bar before a workout. I think some cereal probably wont way you down. May have to do with sleep.
  2. My appetite is total shit lately. I'm just so sick of college caf food.
  3. New stress but I feel good after lifting. Deadlifts [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] NEW PB!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! High Pulls [email protected] wayyy too heavy 3x5@ 42.2kg Felt good. I had to rush my workout now. Damn Foozball team. Jerks 1x4@135 I notice my teime is running out so i go to shrugs. 1x5@315 1x8@315 Kinday sucked at the end but the high pulls felt really good. Wish i would've had time for rows. Gonna put on some music and do ab work. Really hungry so i gotta make this quick. 30 second planks minute planks 25 crunches after each planks. Gonna go stuff my pretty lil face.

  6. Anything with the Mad Cowboy in it. He's my new vegan hero. I believe there was a video of him on the forums not too long ago. I'll have to go hunting for it.
  7. Ahhh thank you. She's pretty receptive to things i tell her. Unfortunately she has horrible food in her cafeteria and it would be really costly for her to do this right at the moment. I think after winter break she might give it a try. I'm going to talk to her about it a lot. Everyone needs their space when they're considering changing over. I usually talk to her about it every other week. She's frustrated mainly because lots of her favorite foods have cheese in them. I just have to get her in a different mindset about cheese. She never used gelatin in medicine(apparently her doctor is against that, kinda weird she has a good doctor) and already uses make up that's not tested on animals. And she hates fur and leather. It's just the cheese. Kinda funny when you think about it. I made a deal with her where if i go to church with her and her family she has to go completely vegan. We plan on living together after college but that's a long way a way. She will have to eat vegan then. If it happens. I'm keeping positive but sometimes life throws you a curve ball.
  8. Ooooo i love me some hammer curls. I think we may have a thick bar in our weight room. Hopefully it will be open today. Snow is nice but not when it interferes with my workout.
  9. I don't know if this is true or not but i hear Lat pulldown machines are horrible for your back. Of course, anything is horrible for you if you do it with poor form. I may be wrong.
  10. I'm ordering some pamphlets right now thanks to me having money and time. This snow day is really helping me tie up some loose ends. I was supposed to do this 2 weeks ago. Bleh i'm a little behind. I plan on recieving lots of resistance and anger from people who don't like to think about what they eat and are comfortably numb. Hopefully i'll make as many friends as i make enemies. edit- Just ordered 100 pamphlets. Hopefully i'll be passin em out next week!!!!
  11. I'm looking into grip training to get some nutty forearms. I'll probably slap it on to the end of a few workouts per week. Any equipment i should buy for this? Any workouts? I used to do something where i'd wrap a piece of rope with a 10 pound weight at one end around a piece of pipe freshmen year. Wonder if there's anything else i can do that wont screw with my wrists too bad.

  13. Haha, my title is safe. I have eaten two, though I did seriously regere it later. I'm gonna have to tie you. My record for taco bell bean burritos(no cheese) is 8. I'm going for 10. It was Silk Vanilla. I get it for free from my caf(well not really free cause i pay for a meal plan but it feels free). I'd eat what my girlfriend doesn't but she can't stop eating cheese. If she wasn't really super healthy and health conscious already it'd be easy to convince her to stop eating it. She already doesn't have to take insulin for her diabetes although she used to be really sick when she was young. Oh well, i'll convert her eventually.
  14. I think i'm gonna buy some canned chickpeas tommorow. I can just eat a can by itself.
  15. Nah, i almost ate 2 chipotle burritos once. Only ate 3/4ths of the last one. I almost crapped my pants on the way back to my friends dorm. Ahahaha good times at U of I. They were pretty small burritos. It consisted of a can of refried beans and flour tortillas. Nothing fancy. So it was only about 500 calories, plus the vega which was about 300 with bananas. All i had for dinner was 2 bowls of cereal, a bunch of fruit and a big old salad. My calorie intake for today will probably be well below 2k since i didn't lift. Had i lifted i'd probably be hungry right now and craving a snack. Unfortunately, i don't have any food that won't take me 30 minutes to make. I may make a big old bowl of rice this weekend with my friends rice maker.
  16. I've been craving nuts like mad and i'll probably pick some up at the store tommorow. I drank half a gallon of soy milk today.
  17. Geeze that's even more painful!!! I also ate 5 bean burritos for a snack. And a thing of vega. I didn't eat lunch or breakfast so i was making up for calories.

  19. I don't know if i'm weird but i trimmed out when I first started putting on lots of muscle. I already had fat on my body so my guess is my body utilized the fat i already had. If you're pretty skinny you will put on a little fat but you shouldn't worry about it. A little fat never hurt anybody. I'm debating on if i should do a 4 o clock lift or a 6 o clock lift. I"m leaning towards the 4 o'clock.
  20. Oooooo. I hope i get some food fight! gift certificates from my relatives. I asked for that and music on top of a digital camera. I'll probably order 100 dollars of chocolate and 100 of vega.
  21. Even apples count as a snack in my book. I try and use nuts sparingly. Chips and other crap like that even less. I also try and use protein bars(clif builders or vega bars come to mind) sparingly and am now rationing them to 2-3 a week. (expensive for a college student) Speaking of nuts i really have to go to my health foods store and get a big old bag of trail mix again. Maybe some goji berries. I really do agree with what Jono says. I'm horrible about sleep on the weekends(even if i don't drink/party/go out) because usually i get 6 hours a night if i'm lucky on days i have class in the morning. I always feel sluggish. Possibly try out going to bed a few hours earlier and getting up earlier and see how you feel. Less reps more weight will give you bulkier muscle. You can switch it up every other week if you want to have a more toned look.
  22. No more stress!!! My professor is the best!!!(poetic i know) Bench reg grip 1x5@195 1x5@200 1x4@205 Skullcrushers/close grip bench press split set 3x8@ ez-curl bar + 50(65 i think???) Felt really good on the ol triceps. Side rows 3x8@85 Last set was damn near impossibly but i did it and was really tired. No shrugs or seated rows thanks to some pretty hardcore deadlifts yesterday. That will be remedied by my new routine next week that puts a squat day in between deadlifts and rows/shrugs Hammer curles 1x8@40(wayyy too heavy) 2x8@35 My workouts are hovering around 1 hour and i like it so far. Normally i would've done abs today but thanks to my no belt lift yesterday they're pretty sore. Abs will be done tommorow(bleh).
