I just started my boxing classes- along with the gym. Any girls out there that are vegan doing boxing? I read this morning that it's a lean-muscle building workout which is exactly what I want. I don't want huge muscles, just lean defined ones.

I'm planning to become a certified triathlon coach as well as a personal trainer. I want to incorporate my vegan lifestyle as well as the importance of following a plant based diet with my clients but I'm worried about scaring some people away (since I do need income). Also deciding on a business name.... I would like it to have something to do a plant based diet but again I don't want to scare away non-vegans that are just looking for a training plan. Advice? Opinions?

I feel badly that the WSJ did not name Timothy Bradley in the title of their article: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204520204577247533423440946.html It seems that being a vegan athlete is so weird still that it is the main point of interest. Hope this phenomenal athlete becomes a household name.

For those of you that follow Mac Danzig he is rumored to be fighting at UFC 124 in Quebec, Canada. His opponent is suppose to be Joe "Daddy" Stevenson. I will see if I can confirm this with Mac as we talk occasionally on twitter.

Hey everyone, it makes me feel sort of strange to do this but I have come to the realization that the amazing journey I have ahead of me cannot happen without the help and support of my friends and family. I am fairly new to this site but greatly enjoy the content and discussions, and thought maybe I could reach out for help. I will be leaving my hometown on March 14th time to embark on the hardest challenge of my life. My journey takes me nearly 10,000 self powered miles from the California/Mexico border to Skagway, AK by bike, followed by Kayaking the inside passage back to Washington, and lastly a through hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, southbound. We've partn…

Hi, I'm on my second week on insanity and I feel like I have to eat way more to keep my energy up then what I should! I've noticed my biceps are looking stronger, but I don't see any fat coming off yet! Besides doing insanity I also take my dog for a 30 min. walk everyday unless it's nasty out side, the walk has alot of hills and I end up walking about 2-3 miles! I don't know if that would make any differense! Plus I have a pear shaped body I would really like to get rid of! I'm doing searching on what vegan foods I should stay away from that can increase more fat in the lower body! I do have alot of muscle it's just I got some fat on top of it covering it up, whitc…

I am giving myself 3 months to get visible abs. I am already of lean stature. I am 5'6" and about 120lbs. Fairly lean to begin with. My diet is going to get a swift kick in the butt tomorrow. I have started running for cardio. What are some things that you all do to get your abs?

Hi! Until thre months ago I hadn't attended any real physical activities for quite a long time, but then I began to do Muay Thai-classes. They are quite physicly demanding, but I got really hooked quite fast and I really do love the sport. Right now I do Muay Thai three times a week (5 hours totally). I like it so much it has really inspired me to begin living a healthier life overall and adopt a healthier diet et.c, I'm gonna go out running one day a week as well now when the weather is a little nicer. I want to get bigger and build some muscle, but what kind of diet should I been following if I want to build some muscle (and hopefully get rid of that little belly I mana…

Anyone done any Krav Maga? I have been thinking of doing the Commando Krav Maga Instructor course. It is expensive, but once you are certified, there are no licensing or franchise fees. Anyone have any experience with them?

Hello There is so much information and stuff out there in terms of intermittent fasting, meal frequency and all that so i wanted to hear what people here are saying and experiencing with. Say yo eat 2000 calories and burn 2500 calories so you are in a defficit wich will mean we will loose weight. So then come to question. Wich approach in terms of meal frequency is the best one to take when maximum fat loss, athletic performance and body composition is your goal. Intermittent fasting, 1 meal a day or 6+ meals a day? My sport is soccer and weight lifting. Remember calories are the same.
