offense74
Seaweed or kelp and a multi a few times per week.
Guest
I eat seaweed too but even eating a few processed foods a week should give you enough...even from organic vegan sources since they too normally use iodized salt.
Odidnetne
I take a multi-vitamin as well, but I also sometimes use iodized salt (though I rarely use it)

xveganjoshx
Does one really have to worry about this nutrient? I have seen pictures of people with a deficiency of this nutrient in foreign countries... I recently changed from iodized salt to celtic sea salt, which doesn't have iodine in it. I don't think this is worth worrying about, with all the salt (probably iodized) in the processed foods I eat, but.....
DV
I agree with Josh IF you are eating some processed foods, eating sea vegetables and/or using iodized salt when preparing food. However, if you are not doing any of those then it's worth investigating a source of iodine for your diet.
wolfy
sea vegetables?! Is that like sea cucumbers, sea carrots and sea potatoes? Or more like yeah I saw it and i ate it!! Problem!! Naahh, no problem! I sea it and I eat it..
offense74
It's probably not a concern but seaweed is good for you anyway so why not just eat a gram every now and then?
seitan_man
I was under the impression that flax was a good source of iodine? That's what it says on my packet anyway.
