    G'day

hi corey welcome to the site!!
  2. I realized last night that a lot of ppl read this site but dont post on the messageboard. they are looking for information that has already been written out for them. how about a list of foods that are vegan? in categories of "protein", "carbs", "desserts", "beverages". things like that. I saw something on another website that listed a lot of common foods that could be find all over. what about if we had something like that here? people can check to see if something is vegan. example: Thomas' Bagels most ppl think they have eggs in the bagels. but they dont. theyre vegan. we could have a list of mainstream products like that. also what about vegan foods for children? vegan foods for pregnant woman? (I know pregnant woman need higher dosages of certrain nutrients) a raw vegan bodybuilding diet plan? (I imagine its gotta be hard to bulk up and be raw)
  3. oh cool thanks. i just noticed the bio was put up.
  4. you would be surprised how popular chocolate soymilk is becoming. I drink so much of this and no one else in my area did. now I am finding out friends and relatives of mine are drinking this stuff by the gallon. heh. and that most grocery stores here are COMPLETELY sold out of it by the time I go to buy some. its really neat to see things like this temporarily out of stock. Im noticing a big increase in ppl wanting to eat and drink healthier. I think soy is becoming more popular. really cool to see how one person can make a difference. and then in turn how those ppl affect others.
  5. tonight someone thought chocolate came from cows, cause I was eating some vegan dark chocolate. it was quite funny. I had to explain what a cocoa bean was. Ive also gotten the chicken and fish thing before. most people also think I eat a lot of raw eggs.. wierd right? I normally say I am vegan and I dont consume or use any animal or animal byproducts. a lot of ppl think its really hard to be vegan, so strict and you cant eat anything fun. but i think its really neat when they are eating something, and I start to eat it too. and they are like "hey u cant eat that".and i am like "its vegan, didnt ya know that?". and they are like "nope. wow i guess being vegan its not so bad afterall."
  6. being strong is great. but im worried more about overall health and appearance, so I would have to go with shredded and lean. cant we be both??
  7. ahaahahaahahahhaa i actually giggled outloud
  8. hardcore metal....metalcore..... posi....toughguy...... subgenres like that
  9. cool i will see what i can do. I cant work calves, squats, deadlifts, or leg presses anymore. I sprained/fracture my toe doing polymetrics on the Hickory Run State Park. Boulder Field. I run as fast (almost sprinting) as I can and do all various sorts of jumps and spins, and one legged hope. that's what i get for Boulder-Dashing. hehe. pretty burned up on my arms, back, and leg as well from falling. its my first time I've ever fallen. Ive been doing this for years now too. anyway nothing major. I will stick to hamstring curls, quad extensions, and ab/ad-uctions.
  10. definately. portland is big on the indie music, dont know how much hardcore there is there. we might have to go to seattle.
  11. wow. sorry to hear bout this. hope no one was harmed
  12. You're so right College B!!! What the heck kind of move were you doing there Hero? I was throwing my arms in an alternate X pattern in front of me. and then about to go into a spinkick. I wish I had some videos of it to show yas. im pretty fast and fluent. I want to get into martial arts cause its a fun form of expression.
  13. nah I never purposely try to hit anyone. but I am pretty violent when I dance. so I always apologize to anyone I hit. my friends understand. its just the way of the mosh. heh
  14. great to have you on the site, man. -topher
  15. okay so I been trying to think of a more cost effecient way to get enough protein. and also I am getting sick of eating the same things day in and day out to make sure I get enough protein. I mainly consume food for energy and not taste. but i am seriously getting tired of tasting the same things. I'm also not getting enough calories. I'm thinking about making sure I get at least 200g of protein a day from protein shakes. 1 shake= 50g soy isolate protein powder (220 calories), two bananas, strawberries, and soymilk I plan to have 3 shakes throughout the day. I will have 1 X 50g (morning), 1X50g (noon), and 1X100g (evening). I plan to start eating a lot more carbs too. and since i will be getting at least 200g a day, I wont worry about if I am getting enough protein....I think I will probabably be taking in at least 300g in daily total. I plan to eat lots of wholewheat spaghetti, bagels, rice, lentils, etc.
  16. its #1? hehe funny. before I decided to check out portland, oregon, I had gotten all this pamphlets and stuff for Boulder, CO. cause i was thinking about moving there. but i decided on portland instead.
  17. thanks man. Im trying to keep my chin up. its just very hard to find jobs around here. and I really need money to put myself thru PT school. I cant wait for next october. hopefully by then i should be a certified personal trainer and then I can move to Portland. we should definately get an apartment together. i think that be a rad idea. that sucks about ur dream job being all whack. when will these barriers be knocked down?
  18. oh yeh Colorado was a big one for me as well. i totally forgot to list it.
  19. wow I will never complain about this pinched nerve in my arm again. that guy is in amazing shape.
  20. I pick berries all the time. I used to be able to pick them in my yard and surrounding area but too many ppls moved in to our development and cut everything down. I still go to beltzville lake though and pick berries there on the trails.
  21. I am no longer employed! the owner fired me for being a GUY. he only wants "hot girls" to work the front desk. he was a complete sexist. males arent allowed earings or long hair. i had taken my earrings out and pulled my hair back. all the employees and members loved me, I got along with everyone. They all thought I had a great personality. but the owner wanted a girl instead. and since I didnt quit when he tried to get me with the hair and earring things (may i remind you that girls could have earrings and their hair down, but I couldnt), he went home and called to their new manager (the old one got fired for "financial reasons") to fire me. and everyone tried to warn me about the owner and stuff. and now he is afraid to hire the other girl or else he will look like a sexist, so he said due to "financial reasons" they can no longer hire anyone, and he extended everyone's shifts. a lot of employees are trying to quit as well (trying to find other jobs) cause this owner is a jerk. but anyway, so i am back to being jobless.
  22. wow a couple of yous said the ideal place I want to live: Portland, Oregon. a veganfriendly city with an awesome atmosphere. a very clean city as well. one can get around on bicycle or public transportation. on one side of the city you have the ocean and on the other, the mountains. I think its perfect, especially for a snowboarder like me. and I imagine the hiking to be beautiful. I visted once in early fall of 2003. And I cant wait to go back. I also really enjoyed Vermont. I havent checked out much of the rest of the world but I hear some of these places are awesome: Vancouver, Canada Japan New Zealand Edinburgh, Scotland I'd like to somehow work and live in a country for like half a year, and the move to another one. I think it be fun to hop from country to country on a work visa while I am young. my first place Id like to move though is Portland. then we'll see where my life will take me from there. hey Rob if you ever plan to move to Portland, perhaps you and I could split an apartment?
