    Hola Amig@!

Are ya from CR originally? Where do ya live there? As I mentioned in anouther thread, please post an introduction so that we can get to know you and properly welcome you to the forum! I'm happy to send you any vegan stuff ya want and can probably get ya great prices here in Portland. Other than you paying for the stuff, postage, etc I dont expect anything in return - but I'd love to chat with ya about CR!

  2. Hi Elizabeth,

Please consider posting an introduction so that we can get to know you and welcome you to the forum.

As a vegan for 15 years now, I severely doubt that something missing from your diet is causing hair loss and I'm 99.9% certain that it has nothing to do with you being vegan. What other possible causes have you researched?

  3. I had not heard of snake venom being used in this way CO - got any links to info on this? I'd be very hesitant to try this, particularly without knowing that I could expect a very high chance of very signifigant improvement in my condition from taking the treatment. Depending on my age and physical condition, I'd strongly consider not doing any treatment at all and would certainly exhaust every other remedy before relying on this or most other "western" medical options.

  4. Hello & Welcome Back!

Pittsburgh is my first choice for a city out east as a place to live. There seems to be good vegan options, plus several of our own forum folk including MichaelHobson & VeganMadre are there! Those two did (do?) vegan meet-up's in Pittsburgh & should be able to point in the direction of anything vegan ya need.

  5. Shesfit,

Education & positive peer pressure are two powerful tools for helping kids ( adults too! ) make the transition. There are a number of books, coloring books, etc out there that are kid-focused. If it's at all possible, even just a few times a year, have your kids be around vegan kids &/or just kids who are up for trying new, healthy foods.

Have you had your kids help with the selecting and preparing their own food? Having more of a choice in what they are eating & being involved with food prep often gets kids into trying new (vegan!) stuff. Also, a lot of folks have success with substituting vegan items for familiar foods as long as the foods are similar enough.

I dislike starting with junkier foods, but few people of any diet dislike "Purely Decadent" vegan ice cream - so that can be a "gateway" food that helps show that vegan food can be just as good or better than the other stuff.

And there's a time & place for just setting out the food you prepare for the kids to eat and if they are hungry enough they will have it. Sometimes us parents are stuck with making choices that while unpopular with the kids at first, are in their best interest. <Insert comment about being disturbed about sounding like one's own parent here>

  7. Hello everyone,

I also joined today. Fitness has become one major concern nowadays and I want to remain updated on that.

Forum will be most suitable to get latest information on what is happening currently. And that is the reason I joined.

    Roger,

Please post your own introduction and tell us about yourself. For example,

what does your linked webpage have to do with yourself? If I dont see a response to this within a couple of days I will assume that you are just a spammer and delete you.

Thanks for sharing whats been going on in yr life with us. Changes aren't always easy or fun but we can always use them to become stronger. It would be awesome to have ya up here with us in Portland - then again, sunny southern Arizona could be a great place for winter VB&F gatherings!
