  1. I think its cool the UFC is once again branching off and going to other countries.
  2. Back in the earlier days of the UFC the people that knew jiu jitus could pull of the armbar like it was nothing. Mainly because people didnt know how to defend it. But now the armbar is alot harder to pull off, since people can defend it. But it is still a submission that is pulled off regularly. I guess my point is its not as easy as it looks when trying to pull it off against a good jiu jitsu player.
  3. Yea i wouldnt doubt at all that the Dairy, Meat and Egg big wigs will try and stop this because i would see this cutting into their profit.
  4. Honestly i think it did catch him in the head because right after that shot he wasnt moving. If you get kneed in the shoulder you dont just lay there and let the guy dominate you. I really doubt he was playing possom waiting for the ref to stop it. If he did then he shouldnt be in the UFC. It was hard to call from the camera angle we got im just judging by how Halverson acted after he got kneed.
  5. When i first heard about this subject i was really grossed out/disgusted. But as i started thinking about it i think there could be some major benefits, environmentally and for animal cruelty all together. Factory Farming could be eliminated, which would end the animal cruelty and take away all the pollution that is being put into the air. Also all the grains that are being used to feed the livestock could be put to a better use like feeding the world. Though, there will still be some animals needed to make the milk, cheese and eggs...until they figure out how to lab grow that
  6. Thats prob why Eddie Sanchez was running away. He knew he couldnt stand with Crocop. Def not suprised by the way that fight ended. I was happy Patrick Cote got his first win in the UFC. I really dont understand why they were getting booed. I thought it was a good fight. Its not like they were just laying on top of each other. I kinda feel bad for Marvin Eastman. I figured Rampage was going to win but since Eastman lost i doubt we'll be seeing him in the UFC again. As for the main event..Honestly i was kinda dissapointed Travis Lutter didnt make weight. It kinda took away the magic of Anderson Silva defending the belt for the first time. But other than that when Anderson Silva up kicked Lutter and he fell right into the triangle choke i was out of my seat with both fists in the air. Then came the elbows and it was all over. So much for Lutter taking Silva down and submitting him. That was a great way to end it. Im glad i oredered this one even though i had to watch it from 10:00 pm-1:00 am, because the cable company screwed something up to where we werent able to watch it at 6:30.
  7. Have you thought about competing in Sub Leagues this year?
  8. yea SBG beaverton. i love it So you train with Keiske Andrew and Andy Lukesh then? They are both tough cookies. I fought Andy Lukesh in his first amateur bout. He blew right through me. But then again i had no ground skills. Im glad that he did though because that was the reason i started training BJJ, and i love it! I plan on being back in the cage by the end of the year.
  9. I hear Sportfight puts on a good show. Ive only gone to FCFF and i had Gen Admission tickets and that sucked. I really want to check out Sportfight in person. Do you train at SBG?
  10. Hey Darth, Do you follow any of the amateur(FCFF, PCCF) and pro shows (Sportfight, Desert Brawl) here in oregon?
  11. I guess he is getting his title shot come July. I dont see him winning it, but we'll see. against GSP no freaking way. no against Sean Sherk oh duh. yea I dont see him winning that either. BJ Penn is going to destroy sherk though. Do you think BJ Penn is going to stay at 155lb after he fights Jens Pulver (more like tears through, IMO)? I would love it if he did. That way the 155lbs weight class can start getting as stacked talentwise as the 170lbs weight class is. I think he wants the 155 title and then hes gonna go up in weight and take the 170 title too!! If anyone can beat GSP its an in shape BJ That would be quite the accomplishment..holding two titles at the same time in the same organization.

  15. The fights I was most impressed with was the Ed Herman vs Chris Price fight and the Rashad Evans vs Sean Salmon. Ed pulled off a sick armbar. I was impressed, it was beautiful. Rashad Evans threw a nice high kick right to the head of Sean Salmon. He was out cold. Originally i was excited about the Franca vs Fisher fight. But I really wasnt impressed by Hermes stand up. Im sure he was just going for the knockout, and he def got it, and unloading huge bombs, but those are the kinds of swings i would expect to see in a bar fight. I hope Sean Sherk murders him.
  16. Im writing an argumentative paper for my writing class, and ive chosen the subject of "Lab Grown Meat." I was mainly wondering other peoples opinion on the subject. And i would also like to know of any articles or websites on this subject. Anybodys input would be of great help.
  17. Hes never going to live that moment down. haha.
  18. You brought up some good points. Mainly that IF Matt Hughes was to lose to Diego Sanchez or Karo Parisyan that would take him out of title contention, so i guess Chris Lytle really is a tune up fight. If thats the case i think thats pretty lame. If Chris is just suppose to be a tune up fight, i hope he knocks Matt out. Not that there is a high chance of that happening but hey it could happen.

  20. haha after i posted my previous post i found this article with the same point of view i have. Titled Matt Hughes vs Chris Lytle?? http://ufcmania.com/2007/01/04/ufc-68-matt-hughes-vs-chris-lytle/
  21. I just found an article with a quote from Chris Lytle saying he is fighting Matt Hughes. This makes me sad because IMO Hughes vs Sanchez would be a awesome fight. Either by Matt pounding the poo out of Diego or Sanchez getting the upset win and proving he deserves a title shot. http://ufcmania.com/2007/01/07/lytle-confirms-showdown-with-hughes-at-ufc-68/ Im glad Matt has decided to take a "tune up fight" before his rubber match with GSP. I really dont like when somebody gets the title and they're next match is with the exact same person. IE Silva VS Arlovski. Granted GSP vs Matt Sera isnt a fantastic match up in my eyes, still seeing him fight someone else will be great. Also Matt Hughes VS Chris Lytle...talk about a tune up fight. Im not quite sure why Matt would even want this fight. Maybe he just wants to fight without so much pressure on his back..i dunno.
  22. Im pretty excited about the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. Being a little guy I love to watch the little guys go at it. More exciting IMO. Anyways itll be great to watch. Whats the overall thought about Jens Pulver Vs BJ Penn fighting in the finale? I do like stand up fighting, which will be Jens specialty, but i have a special love for the ground fighters, obviously that would be BJ. Both have said they will not lose this fight. Itll be over there dead body. So its gonna be an all out war. In the end i think ill be rooting for BJ on this one.
  23. Ive also read that Matt Hughes might be fighting Chris "Lights Out" Lytle. That would be an awesome match up! What a joke. From what i hear Matt wants Diego, Diego wants Matt. Why not give both the fighters and the fans what they want. according to UFCJUNKIE.com UFC 68: MARCH 3, 2007 — Columbus, Ohio (Nationwide Arena) Tim Sylvia vs. Randy Couture Matt Hughes vs. Chris Lytle Rich Franklin vs. Jason MacDonald Jon Fitch vs. Luigi Fioravanti Mike Swick vs. Yushin Okami David Heath vs. Matt Hamill Martin Kampmann vs. Drew McFedries Joe Stevenson vs. Caol Uno Assuerio Silva vs. TBA Rex Holman vs. TBA* * — We reported yesterday that Holman was signed by the UFC. He’ll likely be a replacement for one of the above fighters. We’re still waiting for the official word.
