  1. I thought I was getting enough fiber. I have oatmeal almost every morning. Sometimes substituted with nature's path cereal. I usually take a couple bananas and whatever other fruit i have in to work. Along with a lunch thats usually an almond/peanut butter sandwich. Sometimes some quinoa, black beans split pea soup - or whatevers left over from dinner the previous night. Dinner: quinoa, black beans, or lentils with tempeh or tofu. Plate of steamed veggies. Late night snack: almond/peanut butter sandwich, a bowl of cereal, a smoothie - sometimes all of the above. There's other things I eat which I didn't list. But, I think I have a pretty decent variety to my diet. Staples in my diet are probably: tempeh quinoa, lentils, black beans, brown rice steamed frozen veggies - lots of broccoli, and spinach apples strawberries mangos kiwis bananas cherries oranges blueberries basically everything but melons - hate melons.
  2. I think I jumped the gun on this one. My friend just checked that auction, and also suggested this was an unwise choice. Damn. Shipping this back to calgary probably won't be cheap either. Hopefully he'll consider a refund.
  3. I was comparing that bike to an average priced/entry level road bike that would be around 19lbs. As for the Norco its hard to tell what kind of components it has. SRAM means nothing...it can mean really incredible shifting components...or it can mean entry level. I wish this guy specified what level they are. I know. I doesn't look like its in "Mint Condition" either. Here'sthe specs from the site.
  4. I do the same thing. I went grocery shopping yesterday, and was so psyched I started tearing into everything I bought.
  5. I can relate. This happens to me almost daily. I see those So Delicious chocolate ice cream sandwiches tryin to lasso me in. I duck, and quickly roll up some spinach, and black beans in a burrito. Or grab some bananas. Make a smoothie...You get the idea. I'm not sayin you should deny yourself a reward everyone once in awhile. Just stay focused, but also stay positive. That week's work isn't flushed because you fell off. Move forward - don't beat yourself up over it. Ultimately I think that will just drag you down even more.
  6. My bike weighs 32lbs. You're sayin this mountain bikes going to be heavier than that? I really hate to buy a bike before riding it, but this seems like a deal: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250220108000&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:Watchlink:middle:us Im not sure what size frame medium is though.
  7. Yes. I think my work environment may have a lot to do with it also. I work in a small space surrounded by 3 very loud industrial machines. I have to stand and work at a counter - bend, lift, and load shit on these machines 8 hours a day. Im not crying, just sayin' its not exactly like folding shirts at the gap.
  8. Once I start it's on - I don't know how to turn it off. This has been goin' on for well over 6 months. There was a point a few months ago where I wouldn't stop eating until I felt like I was going to burst. And, at that point I was dropping weight. I consulted my physician about it, and he claims it's "probably" normal. And that my body must be in need of food. I also had blood work when I was there that indicated I had a rather low white cell count. Even after a retest it came back the same. Don't know if there's any correlation there? I guess a better question is why the hell am I rambling about this on here?
  9. DS, no doubt. I could give a shit about next gen anything. Gimme nintendo any day.
  10. I don't mind the hills, really. A mountain bike has to be more efficient than what I'm riding now.
  11. Mountain bikes are confusing the hell outta me. So many different styles or riding, sizes of frames, parts, etc. I've seen those specialized p's before. I don't know that I want one of those though. It seems redundant to get one of those if I already have a 20" bmx bike that I ride street, and trails with. I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250220108000&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:Watchlink:middle:us But, again, I really have no idea what im looking at or for. I'de like to be able to just hop on my bike, and ride wherever. I can do that now on my bmx, but it's not much fun. And, all the hills around here are a killer on my back with that thing. I mainly just take that to parks, or tear up ledges in the city.
  12. Almond, rice or hemp milk work fine too. Yeah, almond milk is my choice. Whole foods has this oat milk here that i've never seen before. Might give that a go?
  13. In my experience, that goes away fairly soon. I work with a farmer/ hunter who holds "fart fest" every few months at work and even when I quit soy milk for a week or so in preparation, my soy gas pales in comparison to his random meat gas. Weird story to divulge... basically, if you always drink your protein shake with soymilk it will loose its "gassy" effect in a short period of time. ahaha great story - thanks for sharing. Just made my horrid morning at work more enjoyable.
  14. Those looks cool. I'm gonna check into them more when i get home. Thanks. Does specialized make something like this? Maybe the rockhopper pro, or stumpjumper ht? I think Im leaning more towards a hardtail bike like this though.
  15. Whaddup simon, welcome aboard. Train hard and maybe this year you will be number 4 rower in the woooorrlldd.
  16. Would an 18" be too small. Here's: one Im watching now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270215100723&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching
  17. I know quite a few people who subscribe to a very feeble training/nutrition regimen. I'm talkin' fast food, and beers on a regular basis. You would think these people would be waddling around like a wounded walrus. Yet, they seem to be building mass, and fairly quickly. What gives?
  18. Yeah, I normally just throw in some frozen fruit, and water.
  19. I'm thinking about buying plain. The vanilla is a bit strange. Not terrible, just odd. Anyway, my main question was the custom mixes. Do you mess around with those?
  20. That's the one I was going to try. I think I might get the regular Creamy, and Raw though. It's about $5 cheaper.
  21. exactly. Every time Im at the grocery store i want to buy almond butter, but the price always deters me. I only had it once, and if i remember correctly it sort of resembled particle board.
  22. I'm running low, and about to order some more. Please share custom mixes and/or favorite flavors, etc. I've only had vanilla, and it tastes nothing like any vanilla i've had before.
  23. Never heard of pbloco. They do have some interesting flavors. Peanut Butter and Co. is some good stuff. I've tried "The heat is on" and "Cinnamon Raisin Swirl". Lately i've just been buying trader joe's valencia peanut butter.
