  1. A suggestion for deads and squats at higher weights, if you don't already:
  2. You've got a pretty big upper body dude. Just a suggestion, maybe go a little heavier on the squats, you're strong so I bet you could do a lot more. Also heavier deadlifts are great for back devolpment (and pretty much everything else to) so they'd make a good addition. Good work though, looking great.
  3. If something is lagging behind it most likely means it's not worked enough, or wasn't in the past. Sometimes it can mean it's being overtrained too. To get your biceps closer, try to do all bicep and back exercises with dumbbells.
  4. You exercise A LOT - so of course you have to eat a lot. I'd recommand eating more in each sitting, like add a bagel to breakfast, drink fruit juice instead of water, use lot's of oil when you cook, etc.
  5. I think most vegans were smart enough not to waste their time with a lame tv show/iq test.
  6. Napping is awesome - I have at least a couple a week.
  7. One other thing Reverse curls are really good at training your wirst to stay straight and presvent injury. Excellant exercise, but you may not want to start it until your wrist is better.
  8. She left veganfitness mostly as well. No offense to her meant, but I don't really get why she was on these forums either - she never posted about fitness and didn't seem to have an interest in it. Anyways mostly likely I am one of the people she had issues with(not here as I wasn't posting, but on VF) so take what I say with a grain of salt.
  9. Just say you're vegan and don't eat it. Don't make a big deal, just say something like "No thanks, I don't eat dairy" If people have a problem with that it's their problem.
  10. My guess is it's work, when I used a computer all day I had wirst problems, they cleared up after I left that job, and only comes back when I use a computer a lot. I'd just take pain killers before working out so my wirst didn't hurt, but that's most likely not the best solution.
  11. No offense this has nothing to do with quantum mechanics. Anyone who says it does knows nothing about quantum mechanics or is lying.
  12. Alex whose last name I cannot spell and Frank Zane from the old days even if his legs were a wee bit small.
  13. Crystal - You mean the picture in the naked vegan thread? michaelhobson - check out my myspace, I blog about my food.
  14. I'd ask your trainer to show you how to Squat, Military Press, Bench Press, and Deadlift. These are the some of the main compound exerises you have been asking about. They burn a lot more calories then exerises that involve less muscles. If your trainer doesn't seem able to do this you may want to find another gym. oh, and you should tell your trainer your goals and they should have ask! I lot of people will break up workout days based on movements. So they'll have a squat/legs day, a pull day for deadlift and other back exerises, and a pressing day for bench and military press. For cardio, maybe try some sets of sprints instead of a long run, I find that less boring. Also running outside in good weather isn't bad either. Hope that helps
  15. I've clean and jerked 65kg, power cleaned 72.5kg, and snatched 45kg. The power clean and snatch were not max effort though. I'm just getting into these lifts so my numbers are pretty sad.
  16. Thanks folks. Robert- Yeah I'm seeing lot's of familar faces. offense74- Sweet Sig
  17. Yeah Matt, I argee the test didn't have enough choices. I scored 127 but a lot of questions had no answer that I felt fit.
  18. Thanks Matt. I don't really think of myself as a bodybuilder though.
  19. I can do a whole body workout pretty easy. For example today I did squats, bench, chins, static holds and v-ups. What you really need is a squat cage(like me and seasiren have), a bench, and some weight and you can get a great total body workout.
  20. Hey everyone. I'm quite the regular over at www.veganfitness.net, and I lurk and post here ever once and a while. My main interests are Powerlifting and Olympic Lifting(which I don't do enough of). I'm about 70kg right now, but am in the process of bulking. Was up to almost 75kg in January but got really sick last month and lost a lot.
  21. I don't think it'll make much of a difference either way. The republicrats all play for the same team.
  22. I like both. Home for most things as I don't have to deal with people I don't like(I still work out with people in my home) and I don't have to wear a shirt Gym for the nice OL bar, rubber plates and lifting platform. Here's my home gym: http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i172/BryanGlyn/129_2910.jpg I've got an orange bench to!
