Whatsup everybody? My name is Nathan. I'm 18. I live in Santa Cruz California. I've been happily vegan for 2 years. I'm a waiter at a local thai food restaurant called Bangkok West. I have been blessed with the companionship of a baby female pit bull named honey who has also made the difficult transition for dogs to a healthy vegan diet. I try to work out daily and have found that the best way to do that is road biking. I hope i can make some friends here and meet interesting nice people.

Hey there folks. I'm Bryce and have been a vegan for about nine months. Funny thing, today is my 1 year vegetarian anniversary. I've been interested in bodybuilding and working out on and off since I was about 15 (I'm 18 now). I was most recently working out seriously from about September 05 to January 06. That experience made me decide I need to set more long term goals. (I had accomplished my goal of being a huge hunk by January [debate trip to Arizona involving lots of pooltime] after some kid told me all vegans are wusses). That little bout of hitting the gym was my most successful and I followed Mike Mahler's 5x5 program and saw amazing results. I became i…

Hello to everyone out there. I'm not a vegan yet, but I am making little changes daily to my diet to become more vegan. Welp now I will give a little history and my motivations for becomming a vegan. Welp I have been a bodybuilder for about five years. Hold on there ladies, don't be hoping for a ripped picture yet. You would not know if you looked at me that I was a bodybuilder. I have a lot of knowlege about bodybuilding, but so far, I havn't been able to put it into use. I am loosing bodyfat right now, and in a few months I will be trying to build up. During all my years as a...Ahem... Bodybuilder, I have done a very high protein diet. Chicken, Steak... almost any ki…

Hi everyone! I'm Julie, I'm from Delaware and will be moving to Michigan by the end of the Summer. I've been vegan for over 4 years, and vegetarian since I was 7 (I'm 20 now). I've been a long distance runner for 6 or 7 years now and so far I've completed 4 half marathons and 1 marathon, as well as a ton of shorter races. Recently, however, I've gotten really into lifting and I'm aiming to lose some body fat and gain some muscle. In the future I'd like to do a figure competition, although I don't think I'm anywhere near that level at this point. I entered the Summer "Body Transformation / Shape Up Fitness Contest" and I think it sounds like it's going to be a lot…

Well lets see......... My name is Randall I have been vegan for about 10 years now. I just recently moved to Portland about 6 months ago from Orange County, CA with my girlfriend Michele who is also been vegan for 1 year. As far as my training goes, I have done some different things on and off. I started out young just lifting, and then a while after that progressed into Jiu Jitsu for a couple of years. Then for financial reasons I had to stop. I would say this point was when I was in the best shape of my life. I was playing tennis in High School and doing jiu jitsu 3-4 times a week. I weighed about 215. This is where my weight loss goal is focused right now. I would lik…

Hello from Arizona! I've been vegetarian for two years, and vegan for one and a half (mostly for health reasons, although compassion for animals and a concern for the environment are also very important to me). Around the time I went vegan, I started running to get in shape. Unfortunately, even though I was a swimmer in high school, and worked out in college, I had let my diet and lifestyle slide into unhealthy territory. I lost about 40 pounds in the process of running and going vegan, and I'm back to my high school weight (lean and mean)! My long term fitness goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon (3:10 for my age). I ran my first half marathon recently in…

Hello everyone. My name is Chris, and I'm from California. I'm almost 26, and am a strong believer in natural bodybuilding (I'm not a vegan though I admit). I've met Rob through natural contests with the ABA/INBA. He's been awesome, both as a person and physique-wise. I'm here to meet anyone, so feel free to hit me up. Best wishes.

Hi everyone. My wife, texanyogi, has already given a little background on us. Like she posted, we became vegan in December of last year, and haven't looked back. Yes, I am a cop. I've been a police officer for eight years, so being in shape is definately important, not only for my personal health, but for safety on my job. I have had a difficult year with my workouts. I am coming back from shoulder surgery last year. I tore all the cartilage in my left shoulder, and ruptured my biceps tendon during a martial arts class. It sucked, but if you are gonna learn then u have to train hard. Now, I have titanium hooks holding all the cartilage down in my shou…

Well I was kindly reminded that I have yet to create an introductory post, so here I am. As a few may already know, I am pesco-vegetarian which I'm sure won't go down particularly well with some of you. I am conscious of the sickening injustice of animals being produced for the sake of lining our stomachs, not to mention the other forms of animal cruelty caused by humanity. But I will admit that I have only been a pesco-vegetarian for six or seven months and have yet to ever consume anything other that what is stated in a pesco-vegetarian's diet. I think it was a case of eating meat for most of my life and afraid to make the transition. Besides that aspect of me, whic…

I'm thin naturally and would like to put on some more muscle and hoped that you guys could hook me up with some inspiration.

Hello Everybody. I spend most of time at veganfitness.net but have ventured here. A little about me: I wrestle, I'm currently addicted to Elder Scrolls 4, dealing with a rotator cuff injury right now so my weight training is a bit light, and I like watching MMA.

Hi my name is Joey and I am from the Pittsburgh PA area. I stopped eating animals 3 years ago, and to be honest, I am sad that I didn't do it sooner. Just a little about myself, I am into bodybuilding, powerlifting, and mixed martial arts. I am between jobs now, but I have a grad degree in business. Below is a video of me hitting some bumper plates in a bench contest at my college. http://www.iup.edu/intramurals/bench/movie1.WMV Its nice meeting you all.

Greetings from Amarillo (pronounced Am-a-rill-uh, rhymes with duh...trust me it's appropriate) Texas. I've been vegetarian for 15 years, and vegan for the last 10. I study history at West Texas A&M University, where the only Ph.D program is in Agricultural science, ie beef production. I will graduate in May 2007 and will hopefully be going to grad school in either Seattle or Chapel Hill, NC. My wife and our 5 year old daughter are lacto-ovo vegetarian and we are expecting another child in November. I will be 35 on June 18th. I have dabbled in running and weight training. I have started training again recently, partly due to the effects of too much Tofutti and o…

Hi! My name is Veronica and I'm a 23 year old vegan who currently works in retail. I've been a vegan for about 6 months but a vegitarian for much longer. I really don't know what else to say. I love to have fun and hang out with my friends. I also love being outside, camping, hiking, climbing, kayaking and running are just a few things I love to do. Well, I look forward to meeting a lot of really cool people through this, so feel free to send me a message. Oh, and I'm doing my first triathlon in August, it's only a sprint, but it should be a good little challenge!

Hi. I'm Christianna. I'm not really sure what to say but here goes. I have always know about vegans and what their diet was like but it has never been something that chrossed my mind. I ran across roberts profile about a week ago, maybe less and I saw some things that made me cry. They say that ignorance is bliss but now that I've seen what really goes on it's been really hard not to think about it when ever I eat. I'm really interested in getting to know more about the lifestyle of vegans so if anyone has any suggestions or comments please feel free to let me know.

hi, my name is michael and I live in vienna, austria. I've been vegan for roughly three months now and as of yet don't miss my old eating habits. My diet consisted mainly of dairy products, simply out of laziness, so switching to a plant-based diet probably has me eating the amount of vegetables and fruit I should have eaten anyway. So far no problems, but until I discovered ground hemp- and flax-seed my diet didn't seem complete. Amazing what a difference a couple of grams of that stuff makes. Also, my interest in veganism *was* primarily because of health benefits. But after three months of being vegan, and also after experiencing the benefits first-hand, I'm beginni…
