  1. Impressive, keep it up! Mind if I ask your stats, calories, and training?
  2. Ok, currently I lift 2x a week, rock climb 1x a week, and do a cardio/leg routine 1-2x a week. I have barely been able to maintain my lifts, and I feel entirely exhausted after every set. Today I couldn't complete my second set of pull-ups! :\ I just increased my caloric intake to 2200-2300 cals per day, up from 2000-2100 (20p-60c-30f macros). I simply added more grains/beans to my diet hoping this would help me, but I seem to be more tired than ever, so now I am thinking it could be my routine. I am 6'1 (1.85m), 185lbs (84kg), and I have a sedentary lifestyle (lazy student). Am I overtraining my back, shoulders, or anything else with this routine? 3x8 shoulder-ups 3x5 wide-grip pull-ups 3x7 chin-ups 3x12 dips 3x10 DB press 3x10 lat pulldown 3x10 overhead press 3x10 deadlift Thanks to anyone who can help.
  3. He must have lost it among all those veggie dogs...
  4. Florida's Natural uses D3, but I'm not sure about Tropicana. Most of the times it will just say D3 instead of saying cholecalciferol...
  5. Surely a typo? I spend about $100 a year on CD's haha...
  6. I will download a few songs of an artist, but if I like an entire CD enough then I will buy it. If an artist makes an entire CD of good music, then it's worth it to me (the value of enjoyment I get is worth the money cost). Also I like to support smaller inde bands more than I would support a conglomerate like Disturbed or Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.
  7. Oh no, is ha posting under another name now? 1. Just as many studies say that moderate and high fat diets are healthy too. 2. Urine should never be clear, it should be slightly yellow. Peeing 10 times a day puts a large strain on your body. I like everything else.
  8. So I just bought a box of Cheerios on sale. I skimmed through the ingredients checking for milk and honey, and good to go. I get home, eat 3 bowls, then read the nutrition facts again. Apparently they use vitamin D3 in Cheerios now. So Peta's 'Can't Believe It's Vegan' site is wrong, and I figured I would spread the word. Cheerios aren't vegan!
  9. Well now any gains beyond an AA score of 100 will be minimal, right? I mean, it's hard for the body to use a protein with greater than a 'perfect' AA score...
  10. If you haven't seen this site yet, it really has some great talks. I just found this one tonight...
  11. OT, how many calories are you putting away octo?
  12. Wait. Foods that are: 1. Vegetarian 2. Soy free 3. Gluten free 4. Diabetic safe Wow. Ok, beans for sure. All of those are still safe. She should at least try some 'unprocessed' soy to make sure she can't handle it (tempeh, soybeans). Is rice safe? Oats? They might have gluten, IDK. Veggies! All and every. Fruits in moderation (for the sugar spike). Nuts for fat! So fruits and veggies for vitamins, beans and nuts for minerals and fat, maybe rice and maybe unprocessed soy. I'm sure there is more I am forgetting but that's a start at least... EDIT: Oh and dairy I guess, but who wants to do that?
  13. Wait, are you really racist? My feeble white man mind is confused...
  14. Yeah, it's not people making themselves die, it's EVERYTHING ELSE that is to blame!
  15. How can someone put away 5K of calories a day and still be lean? My 2200Cal diet is crying.... Anyway, calorie dense 'bulk' foods for me. CEREAL Grape Nuts Oat Bran Oats Raisin Bran BEANS Kidney Garbanzo Black OTHER Long Grain Rice Quinoa Tofu Whole Wheat Bread FATS Ground flaxseeds Avocado (delicious!) Almond Butter Mixed Nuts Also, for quick energy carbs, dried fruit can't be beat.
  16. The fact that it's one of the most highly rated documentaries on RT, that alone is enough to convince me to watch it.
  17. "Accompanying the attacks is increasingly tough talk from activists such as Dr. Jerry Vlasak, a spokesman for the Animal Liberation Front press office. In an interview with The Associated Press, he said he is not encouraging anyone to commit murder, but "if you had to hurt somebody or intimidate them or kill them, it would be morally justifiable."" Anyone know when this happened? Everything I have read from the ALF says do no harm, to animals or humans...
  18. That McDougall article was entirely tasteless.
  19. Lean and Green, I believe that is the nutritional info for the dried plant, which is much healthier than the syrup they extract. Healthy 'sugar's: Fruit paste (date works best usually) Simply Fruit Jelly (fruit and pectin, no added sugars) Molasses (and Blackstrap molasses, if you can handle it) I just had some molasses and vanilla extract in my oat bran this morning. Yum!
  20. Seitan 38% Protein, PDCAAS-Value 0,25 Beans 31% Protein , PDCAAS-Value 0,68 Nuts (Almonds) 15% Protein, PDCAAS-Value 0,52 Peas 22,6% Protein, PDCAAS-Value 0,69 Cereals (Rolled oats) 14 %, PDCAAS-Value 0,57 Breads 0,9%, PDCAAS-Value 0,40 Just Beans, Peas, Seitan (low value) are over 20%. Where are you getting your numbers from? From nutritiondata: Seitan: 81% Beans, kidney: 26-24% Nuts: 13% Peas: 22% Cereals: Wide range, 24-15% Bread, whole wheat: 16% This means that if you eat all of these foods in a day, you will be getting an average of about 20% protein from these foods. I didn't say it would be easy, I was just giving you non-soy, non-processed, vegan protein sources.
