  1. has anyone tried this? i wonder how accurate it is...
  2. looking solid! you should take some brighter pictures though
  3. you're complaining, but you men produce significant amount of testosterone so you can actually see a big difference once a guy starts lifting weights. women, on the other hand, have to work with ridiculous levels of testosterone and work 10 times as hard if we wanna see any sign of progress. The amount of muscle we gain with natural bodybuilding is ridiculous comparing to men. it's just not fair. TELL ME about feeling frustrated!
  4. she must have killer muscle-building genes. I use weights heavier than those and my muscles aren't half as developed as hers.
  5. wow! such an inspiration! congratulations on that, that's an awesome job in such a short time.
  6. i wonder if it's possible for a woman to lose fat to the point of getting a six pack and be healthy at the same time. i'd love to get more muscle definition, and i know i have to lose fat for that, but my fat percentage is already quite low (must be at around 13%). i don't want to risk my health with a cutting high protein diet, i already have a family history of kidney problems. and going on a low calorie intake diet doesn't sound good to me either, as it can have the opposite effect (store fat intead of losing it) as a natural reaction of the body to the low intake. losing fat itself goes against the body's survival instinct (which is to store fat), i guess that's why it's so hard to accomplish. specially when your fat is already low. it's specially harder for women, because of strongen i guess. so unfair. any suggestions or tricks?
  7. Hi! Could anyone help me with this? I'd like to drop my bf (I already do cardio almost every morning) and I know I won't get much result if I don't go on a cutting diet. Are cutting diets as unhealthy as they sound? Is there a way to achieve quite low body fat while not having to worry about health issues due to a high protein diet? any suggestions or advices are very welcome. thanks!
  8. yeah, me too. i wonder if there's anything natural that can increase T levels in women in a healthy way...
  9. Well, I decided to shoot a couple of pics today, to compare to those from 4 months ago. I've been working my ass off, but personally haven't seen much change, at least not like I wanted. Still would like to lose more fat and put on some more volume here and there. Anyway, please tell me your impressions. And thank you all for the comments. http://i35.tinypic.com/vi19gy.jpg http://i34.tinypic.com/330wv41.jpg
  10. i have a new one: http://intensemuscle.com/customavatars/avatar42317_3.gif i don't know who's that girl, but that physique is my short-term goal. Her abs are just awesome!
  11. i don't know if it's just me, but i do 30-40 minute powerwalks or 20-25 minute runs every morning before breakfast (just having 2 glasses of water before - and lots of water after, too, of course - to avoid dehidratation) and i actually feel more energetic than if i did the same cardio in the middle of the afternoon, with lots of carbs in my stomach. I even felt a considerable improvement in my resistance since i started running in the morning, on an empty stomach. It's definately the best moment of the day for me to do cardio.
  12. that's basically what i do. there's just a few things to work on.. like... i still use a bit of olive oil to cook, and i still use a small amount of salt in some meals (although i have reduced salt intake to almost zero, i still use a little bit, as it's really hard to just quit it overnight, specially when you're used to eating things with salt since forever)

  14. I started on the drums, then got seduced by guitar and bass currently i have a band in which i play guitar and sing. for those who would like to check it out: MYSPACE - http://www.myspace.com/themerseybeggars YOUTUBE - http://www.youtube.com/merseybeggars
  15. bodyweight training is great. more than half of my training logs use bodyweight. there should be (is there already?) an active thread here for bodyweight training enthusiasts, to share information, exercises, videos, websites, tips and all that stuff.
  16. thanks! it's cool to get some feedback, 'cause years ago i wasn't really fit (mostly skinny and a bit of undesired fat here and there) and i felt bad for not having a good example of a vegan body. Plus, it always pissed me off when people said to me you can't grow muscles in a vegan diet... of course i know it's bull***, but what better way to prove them wrong? I also wanna test how far i can get without any suplements, just hard work and a regular vegan diet (about 10-12% of calories from protein). Never liked suplements, i think they're mostly a waste of money. About the definition issue, i read somewhere that doing some low intensity aerobic exercise (like taking a power walk) in the morning, before breakfast, is a good way to burn fat quickly. i'm willing to try this, any advices or experiences you might wanna share would be great!
  17. Hi there! I'm new here, just thought of dropping some current pictures, soon to be my "before" pictures, as i intend to gain a bit more of muscle and lose some fat for better definition. been doing home workout for 6 years or so (i'm 23 now) and boxing for like 2 years. only top pictures for now. here we go: http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/4844/dsc04144q.jpg http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6079/dsc04164ye.jpg http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/5568/dsc04177f.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/6133/bulkz.jpg I must say the light did help a lot in this one! hahah
