  1. Because a patient at work said "Wow.. You're a slim girl, but STRONG!" as I lifted her walking frame over a bed.
  2. I don't drink (alcohol has had a really negative effect on many people in my family..), don't smoke and don't take illegal drugs. I completely agree with Richard.. Drunk people can be really annoying and I try to avoid them as much as possible.. In my opinion, you don't need any drugs to have a good time.
  3. Thanks robert! I'm glad to hear that you enjoy your life in LA so much!! I'll visit my grandparents today, and they have a swimming pool in her garden (and the temperature's close to 100F) so I'm looking forward to seeing them again, and of course a refreshment will be great as well.
  4. My trainers are really great and do an awesome job. They never complain about showing me moves several times until I've understood it, and always try to make me get better and better. Once a year the newbies will get their appelidos (nicknames) and first chorda. Usually you start in November, and that event will take place in November of next year. I've joined in May, but the trainers said that I'm doing great and will be able to get my chorda and appelido in November of this year
  5. I decided to end nursing school and go to university to become a nutritionist instead. Of course I have a few worries because I'm getting out of nursing school, but I'm looking forward to university and hope that I'll like that education/job better.
  6. @ VelvetVoices: Yep, I've used wholemeal spelt flower. The coconut oil added such a nice touch to it!
  7. Because of the pancakes I just had. (out of "Skinny Bitch - cookbook") They've probably been the fluffiest, best pancakes I've ever had.
  8. Oh I just realized, that I bought the cookbook. It sounds great, though! Well I loved cheese as a kid, but stopped eating cheese as a vegetarian because of the rennet and never missed it. In 1 1/2 years of veganism I've bought vegan cheese only once. It's just too expensive, artificial and fatty in my opinion.
  9. I've just bought Skinny Bitch yesterday at a VegFest in Vienna, I'll read it today. The recipes I've seen so far seem great [A bit too much vegan cheese in my opinion, but I make a great "cheese" sauce that I use for most recipes that call for vegan cheese...]
  10. It would be great if Amazon.de (germany/austria) carried your book! They have many English books, also lots of books about veganism in English but I couldn't find yours.

    hello :)

Oh really? That sounds amazing! If you want to practice your German feel free to write me any time.. I love to help others out with German, although I always lack theoretical knowledge of grammar. So if you don't care about grammatical rules that awful much and just want to learn some conversation, let me know
  12. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger -> the first time I felt understood during my high-school time John Robbins - The Food Revolution
  13. I love that it's learned step-by-step. Although I'm a complete beginning I feel successful after each training because I've learned something new, and know how to do a new movement.. We have a Roda at the end of each training
  14. Absolutely! I just started Capoeira a few weeks ago and feel so much more confident already.
  15. I was using sage deodorant for some time, but lately I don't use any. Since going vegan I don't have a problem with smelling bad at all. I just make sure to take showers after sports, and otherwise I don't have a problem.
  16. Looks lovely! And you're extremely good looking!
  17. I've just returned from the second training. It's so addictive! And it seems like a great way to get more self-confident (which definitely won't do me any harm), and I'm always so happy and outgoing after the trainings.. It really makes my endorphines go crazy! And.. I've never had sore muscles like that before haha Anybody who thinks about trying it should really just try it and see if it's the right thing for them..
  18. So I've tried Capoeira for the first time yesterday. It was really great and I'll join that club. I'm in a group with all kinds of levels, so it's very inspiring to see what you could be able to do one day, and everybody's willing to help you out. And it's an amazing feeling to be in the Roda.
  19. That's been my thought as well. What's really bothering me though, is that you learn how to play the instruments as well. And I don't really enjoy that thought.. Of course, it doesn't really matter whether I use the drum or not, but I'd also refuse to prepare a steak. I guess I'll join and try to avoid the drums as much as possible. After all, there are vegan musical instruments used as well..
  20. I'm thinking about trying Capoeira.. I just wonder about the drums.. I highly doubt they're vegan..
  21. Wow, you look amazing! Very inspirational.. Thanks for sharing them..
  22. My bone structure is everything but small But I seem to gain muscle easily. And yes.. I wouldn't go for no curves at all either.. Well I don't do any special program at the moment. I just do some cycling, running, and some pull ups etc as well. If I do decide to follow a program one day, I'll look it up! Thanks for the recommendation!
