  1. most of the good one from what ive heard from clients is that they do work. the work by sucking in air and filtering it by some metal "sheet" that dust, hair and crap cling to. They are expensive but from what ive been told well worth it. All you have to do to clean it is pull out the metal thing and rinse under water.
  2. have nice roots on them just after 24hours!!! It says 3-4 days for spouts but it doesnt look like its gonna take that long. edit: Im so happy!!! yay for me

  6. why would you consider fruit and/or greens junk food? That is the main staple of being "raw" bro!! I blend all my fruits in the morning and have a 72oz smoothie for 9 hours or so and thats it.
  7. Tips for Preparing Quinoa: While the processing methods used in the commercial cultivation remove much of the soapy saponins that coats quinoa seeds, it is still a good idea to thoroughly wash the seeds to remove any remaining saponin residue. An effective method is to run cold water over quinoa that has been placed in a fine-meshed strainer, gently rubbing the seeds together with your hands. To ensure that the saponins have been completely removed, taste a few seeds. If they still have a bitter taste, continue the rinsing process. To cook the quinoa, add one part of the grain to two parts liquid in a saucepan. After the mixture is brought to a boil, reduce the heat to simmer and cover. One cup of quinoa cooked in this method usually takes 15 minutes to prepare. When cooking is complete, you will notice that the grains have become translucent, and the white germ has partially detached itself, appearing like a white-spiraled tail. If you desire the quinoa to have a nuttier flavor, you can dry roast it before cooking; to dry roast, place it in a skillet over medium-low heat and stir constantly for five minutes.
  8. I couldnt help but eat one on the way home... couldnt resist. That carrot was the sweetest one Ive ever had and the best. on $.59 a lb too!

  11. Anyone ever try this? I found a link: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=142 A recently rediscovered ancient "grain" native to Central America, quinoa was once called "the gold of the Incas," who recognized its value in increasing the stamina of their warriors. Not only is quinoa high in protein, but the protein it supplies is complete protein, meaning that it includes all nine essential amino acids. Not only is quinoa's amino acid profile well balanced, making it a good choice for vegans concerned about adequate protein intake, but quinoa is especially well-endowed with the amino acid lysine, which is essential for tissue growth and repair. In addition to protein, quinoa features a host of other health-building nutrients. Because quinoa is a very good source of manganese as well as a good source of magnesium, iron, copper and phosphorous, this "grain" may be especially valuable for persons with migraine headaches, diabetes and atherosclerosis.

  20. drink when youre not thirsty! When you actually feel thirsty you have already been dehydrated for about an hour or so. Yes, you can drink too much. With too much you can flush your electrolytes and with no sodium or sugar in your body...down you go. I knew of someone on there day of graduating from bootcamp drank like 3 gallons and passed over dead right in front of everyone. Some kid playing high school football in TX died on the field from doing the same.
  21. Do it the "raw" way. Use a pestle and mortar to grind your seeds! At The Fresh Market where I live they have a machine that has a hopper on top to hold peanuts and almonds and you flip a switch and peanut/almond butter comes out. The best Natty peanut butter around(without all the salt).
  22. Veges making him fat? Well thats kinda stupid! Its almost like me saying I lost 100lbs on my Chocolate Cake and Mcdonalds diet. dee-dee-dee.
