  1. Tuesday- Step and Body Pump. I wore a new sleeveless shirt that was X-small, and it fit quite nicely. yeah!!!! Back to the scales lying, I really do believe this because my Mom is visiting family and the scale there weighed her a lot less than the gym scale here. It is also on a hard floor. So I am almost 100% sure that the gym scales are not calibrated. I am about ready to buy a good scale and just keep it at home. Wednesday- rest day/ finally bought new sneakers from the online New Balance outlet. Pretty decent prices, and the shoes look nice too! My sneakers have started to flap, so I figured it was past time to buy new ones. Thursday- run
  2. Will do! Monday I ran, and my legs felt like rubber, and did not want to cooperate! End of story!
  3. Saturday- Zumba, I am just too white for this class! No dance moves whatsoever! Sunday- Step and Body Pump= I am totally exhausted!!
  4. walked a mile and a half to gym Over 90 degrees today, so my run was quite short. Got back to the gym, and air conditioning, which is a lovely invention, and hit the weights. 3 sets 8 reps on everything chest press-20lb db one arm back rows- 20lb db incline chest press- 30lb barbell deadlifts-30lb bb pec flys- 12lb db (too easy) bent over rows- 12lb db(too easy) push ups w/ legs on pilates ball shrugs w/smith machine 10lb plates each side plus whatever bar weighs quick stretch! walked a mile to my destination
  5. All booked, finally. There are just too many travel sites. I will be free Friday April 8 until late afternoon. Will be sleeping in late Friday morning, because my flight gets in very very very early, or perhaps its very very very late.
  6. Yeah, I'm legit! Just check with Robert if you aren't sure. I will be crashing after my flight, but definitely will want to workout somehow/somewhere.
  7. Sometimes I feel like the Universe is against me getting to the gym. My stomach was just hurting me all day, but I made myself go to the gym anyway. Step was awesome, I've missed a week of Step and Body Pump classes, and it was so good to b back. I also didn't feel like doing all the plyometric jumps, and jumping jacks, but the workout was still great. The abs about killed me though! I wasn't about to use the excuse of being tired keep me out of Body Pump, but I did go very light in weight. It was still a tough workout though, and the squats were pretty hard.
  8. My recent journal name is not inspiring me! Maybe I shouldn't have jinxed it. Have not gotten to the gym since Friday, which equals bad, bad, bad! But on the plus side i did run twice last week, and weight trained 3 times, and didn't go to Drunken Monkey as much. So that shows some progress, I hope. I'm a big fat liar! I didn't spin today because I had to buy a gift for my brothers fiance, and then we had a party for her.
  9. I am getting ready to book my flight to Portland! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! There are several vegan restaurants calling to me! Oh and the gym too, of course! Hope to catch up with some vegans for a workout, and some good food! Not sure about my transportation at the moment, figuring that out next.
  10. I will be in Portland because of the church I go to.. They have different gatherings/events during the year, and this time there is one in Portland, so I had a good excuse to come visit again. That doesn't start though until Friday night, so I have all Friday to get together with friends, workout, and visit multiple vegan restaurants.
  11. Tonight I skipped Step and Body Pump because it wasnt with the regular instructor. Instead I worked out a full body circuit on resistance equipment. I have gotten stronger but I didn't bother increasing weights because I was famished, and was just thinking of dinner. Ended up at Etho's Vegan Kitchen and got a Whats the Dilly Philly, which is a vegan replica of a philly cheesesteak. Then I got coffee, and ate a cookie!
  12. Sometimes life is just not fair! My brothers girlfriend eats terribly and yet she loses weight. Whereas I try my best to eat well, and I can't lose weight. I also exercise more, and am overall healthier, and she is constantly eating junk, like candy, chocolate, pastries, pizza, etc.
  13. I plan on arriving Thursday evening, late! Not sure where I'll stay that night, but would love to meet up with some other vegans in Portland on Friday. Would love to hang out, and work out!!
  14. Monday- This morning I restarted my running plan! Not sure how far, or how long but I ran!!
  15. Saturday- Zumba Sunday- Step- the trainer wanted us to die I think!!!! Or else he just ate too much junk over the weekend and had to make the workout extra tough. I had sweat drip down my eye, I had no idea my eyes were working that hard, lol! Body Pump was great of course! One thing to share about my mom, she has been beating herself up about not being under 200 lbs yet, but after Body Pump my friend/instructor made her feel better by telling her that her efforts at the gym were paying off, and it was showing. Just wish he'd tell me that! I see it in my arms, as far as definition goes, and kind of in my abs, but the scale absolutely hates me and says that I am always heavier than I'd like to be.

  17. Been getting to gym most of the time! But need to go more. Plan on starting to go 6 days a week, and start a consitent running plan this week. I have not weighed myself in over a month, the scale lies!!!! I feel pretty good about my body, just need to stop the extra carbs. One reason I love going to St. Pete is that the organic cafe rocks. They have great wraps that can almost all be made vegan, and it comes with an amazing sprout salad, for around 8 bucks. I take half the wrap back to the hotel usually and eat it later.
  18. I will be visiting Portland, Oregon next month. I won't have a lot of extra time on my hands, but would love to see some of you vegan Portlanders! I am visiting April 8-10. Might have some extra time on my hands most of that Friday.

Tuesday- Step, and Body Pump Wed- Thurs Fri- Run at 7am about 3 miles, then a quick biceps and back weight training workout 3 sets 8 reps one arm rows- 12lbs db bicep curls- 12lbs deadlifts- 30lb bb hammer curls- 12lb db seated cable rows- 50lbs sat on pilates ball and did more bicep curls THE END!!!!
  20. Etho's Vegan Kitchen, Loving Hut, and Garden Cafe are all vegan, and close to Dowtown Orlando. There is also a Planet Pizza, or something along those lines near Universal Studios that has vegan pizza, and really good vegan brownies. At Downtown Disney there is a vegan cupcake place, and in the same area you can get vegan wraps. There is also 118 degrees, which is a raw vegan place in Winter Park, Drunken Monkey which is Dowtown and has lots of vegan stuff including, soups, wraps, baked goods, and really awesome organic coffee. Hope this helps! How long are you here?
  21. No run this morning, just went to the gym very early (6am) to catch up with a vegan friend. My ankle is better, but I am not going to aggravate it today by exercising. Tomorrow will be my test though because of Step, and all the, well stepping that will be done.
