  1. Look great dude. Hearing that must have been amazing. [2] That motivates me as well =)
  2. About the B12, it is a better idea to use sublingual b12 ( deva has a good sublingual b12 ). The absortion is way better.
  3. I'm from Brazil, About your questions: - Are there any inexpensive Grains/ Lentils/ Pulses options? Yes, grains, lentils, pulses are generally cheap. Plenty of options. Vegetables and food are cheap here, but he have the most expensive computers, cars and electronics in the world. - How difficult is it to get some Indian spices? Which spices? It is easy to find curry, paprika, cinnamon, cloves, mustard, tumeric... Any other questions about Brazil? =)
  4. Nice =) Don't they make a lot of mess? When I mentioned that they are generally a healthy thing to eat, I based my opinion on several studies that indicate that. There are some studies that indicate that eggs are bad for the health, but they are mostly observational and uncontrolled. Of course, eating lots of eggs is not a good idea. But, healthy or unhealthy people shouldn't eat eggs. Exploitation is not good in any amount, ever.
  5. Welcome to the Forum, Flash =) About your question on ProteinPowders: There are good threads about it: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=35126 viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15795&start=105 viewtopic.php?f=6&t=35036 A good place to shop for vegan proteins is www.veganproteins.com . This shop is owned by two members of this forum. About being tired: You have to adjust your diet to see what works best for you. - Try eating some fats, like avocados, nuts and so on - Try eating tons of fruits - Try eating lots of carbs, like rice, pasta... Different bodies answer differently to every diet. There are lots of journals here where you can take a look at different diets to come up with good ideas =)
  6. That's possibly the only kind of egg that doesn't come from exploitation, eggs from rescued hen. About the 'alkaline based diet', as I mentioned, SMALL quantities. Small quantities won't acidify your body if your diet is alkaline based. But bottomline, eggs = exploitation. So, even if eggs would expand my lifespan by 20 years, i'd rather eat dirt.
  7. There are some studies that indicate that. But it`s ok to doubt =)
  8. Try some tribulus terrestris, might help there =)
  9. I think he put only herbivores in the list. A nice fit would be Buffalo or Ox. And a poll would be nice =)
  10. Fish meat, poultry meat, eggs, some small game meat(like bunnies), in SMALL quantities are generally good for your health. Honey is another example of healthy stuff that is animal-based. Of course, you can get the same health benefits from a plant based diet, no doubt in that. But I think that it is wrong to fool yourself by saying that all animal based products are bad for your health, that's just not truth. What's bad for the health is the way people consume this type of food nowadays: in large amounts, red meat, milk(modern milk = slow poison) and so on. But, as I stated previously, EVERY animal based product is the result of exploitation and injustice.
  11. ty for the support. I'm taking care of the injury, as soon as I'm healed I'm back with full strength. Just like the lions in the song, I never give up =)
  12. Voting for the ranks? Any suggestions? Something Gorilla Related would be cool, gorillas are badass
  13. Evidence shows that egg whites are good for our health and tremendously bad for the life of all the chickens involved. Many animal based foods are really good health-wise, but every animal based product is the direct result of a huge injustice to the animals. Keep in mind that this does not imply that everyone who consume animal products are murderers and torturers, but it does imply that everyone who consume these products are responsible for this injustice.
  14. Where I go to the gym there are Muay Thai classes as well, people there fight all the time and don't get injured. It all depends on the type of person that is giving the class, because it should always be safe to train. You train to get tough, not injured.
  15. Nice tips, Specially useful for noobs =) Sometimes I `dance` a little on the bench, gonna start paying attention to be really still and tight.
  16. Here in Brazil I only see STF and WTF. I know these two, but even STF is more competition oriented. I really don`t know what ITF is =) Nice to know that you still have a non-competition oriented taekwondo.
  17. Unusual for modern taekwondo, you got lucky =) Taekwondo nowadays seems to be focused on the olympics, so scoring points is worth more than defending yourself.
  18. Just remember that veganism is not a diet, it an ethical posture in which a strict vegetarian diet is followed. =)
  19. Hi Rebecca How`s progress? How did the 30 day challenge ended? Hope all is well =)
  20. It`s been a while since my last post. I've been consistent with my training, 4 times a week every week. No excuses. 2 months of training Progress: weight: 69.5kg(153lbs) - from 64.25kg(141.64lbs) - I always weigh myself first thing in the morning biceps: 32cm(12.6 inches) - from 30 cm ( 11.81 inches ) - cold and relaxed, flexed 90º degree chest: 100cm(39.3 inches) - from 96 cm ( 37.8 inches ) - cold and relaxed tigh: 51cm(20 inches) - from 51cm - cold and relaxed Vegan diet, taking some Sunwarrior with my breakfast and before going to bed. As I said before I added compound movements in my training routine, started with squats and benching. Started doing some light power training(8 reps sets, but squats remained 12 reps) Unfortunatelly I managed somehow to screw up my knee with these 8 rep sets . . . No leg training for a while. Little depressed, leg day was the day I enjoyed most, gotta take care now and take the time for my knee to heal. I`ll try to post more often and more detailed, but I have one full time job and one part time job, the gym and a wife =)
  21. oldlunk, just don`t eat seitan too often, it is not good for the intestines. I eat it once a week, sometimes twice.
