The first pictures were taken a little over a month and a half ago I think. Those were taken hours after I had worked out. The most recent pictures were taken today right after doing back and abs. I worked out super hard from the beginning of January til about mid April when the first pictures were taken. I've slightly slowed down since then. I was going 6 or 7 days a week. I'm now going 5 days a week. So I'm still hitting the gym pretty hard, just not as hard. I'm at my parents right now and tried to use their scanner to scan an old picture from a few years ago but couldn't get it to work. I used to be insanely skinny. Completely rested (before) http://i…

Over the past three years, I've become an incredibly healthy person. I lost 60 pounds. I dropped my total cholesterol over 80 points. I've been running long distances for almost two years and lifting weights for one. I am at a comfortable maintenance weight would like to focus on losing troublesome body fat and building muscle. I'm incredibly frustrated with my abdomen and glutes. Does anyone have any advice for these two areas or just advice for general improvements? Below are my current workout routines and progress pictures. MWF -- Lift AM Bench press Leg press Dumbbell Lunge Decline Fly Triceps Kickback Arnold Press Barbell Reverse Curl Upright Row Seated Ca…

I've been a bit of a lame-ass in posting here and my progress has been stalling a bit of late so I figured I would jump-start it by posting what I've done so far. This is my transformation so far from December 2012 to May 2013. Both sets are from before I chose to go vegan so I'm hoping that it will only speed things up to continue in such a fashion. Thanks for looking!

I honestly haven't been paying much attention to the way my muscles have been looking lately. I have been really bummed out because the scale hasn't gone down a single pound for about 4 months now. I have about at least 50 more pounds to lose, and am so ready to be thin and fit! But anyways, my boyfriend told me that my arms looked great while I was lifting today, and decided to snap a pic. I am really proud of this picture lol! Just wish it didn't look like a giant bingo arm when not flexing lmao..but I will get there in due time!!!!! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y252/morbidgrotesque/gallery-896436780jpg-1.jpg

Or semi-plateau... Okay, feel free to move this to the appropriate forum, but I can't find a place to post this question. After 40lbs or so, now I only 2-3 lbs a month these days and in the beginning I was shedding fat 2-3 lbs a week, since I have less blubber now, I assume it was fat loss. But I still have loads of flab left. Anyway... Any ex heavy people who have tips on jump starting the system again? I was thinking of stopping all cardio and just only doing weights (or nothing?) and eating a balanced maintaining diet for a week, or should I go longer? I would like to fool my body to a back to the beginning mode so I can get 2 lbs off a week again. Or is this j…

Hey all, this is my first post and I'm super excited to have this kind of resource! I've been mostly raw for several months now (vegan for a decade) and I just started transitioning from an endurance training into more of a complete body buildup. These pics were taken a couple months ago, after only a month of minor lifting, with lots of push ups and pull ups. I'm really increasing the free weights now, and I'll take a couple better pics after I get some much needed sun in a couple weeks haha.

I decided to cut my calories back to around 3000 and add in some cardio. My weight fluctuates a lot from day to day (week to week), sometimes 10 pounds or so in one day. So using the scale to monitor progress isn't even as reliable as it is for most people (where it's still not very reliable). So I'm going to use the before/after progress photo's to keep myself accountable. After my first week of cutting back my cals it was really tough to see my lifts stop progressing almost entirely. I've still managed to add in a rep or two here and there, but my heart kind of sinks every time I do a workout and don't see any measurable progress at all. I plan to cut through Dece…

Went from my 1100 calorie diet a day to almost 2000. 100% raw is tough because most all vegan foods in their natural state contain fiber. Ive had to re-design my whole diet program. Ive added 10lbs of solid muscle however and doing it with bodyfat still below 10%. Let me know any particular foods that you have had success with that I might add to my regime.

I thought I'd start a thread with some photos of my progress. I really am just starting and at the moment I'm focusing on improving my fitness through swimming. I also do some work on my arms, shoudlers and abs with resistance bands, push ups, sit ups, pull ups etc.. just bodyweight exercises for now. Here are some photos from 2 weeks ago - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v52/essjayyell/Photo65.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v52/essjayyell/Photo66.jpg Here are some from today.. not much difference, but I'm definitely feeling a lot fitter since I've been swimming at least 1000m every second day and working with the resistance bands. http://img.photobucke…

Hi! So I have been on a cut for around 3 months and lost around 8/9kg. I believe I have shed a lot of fat, but I am wondering if this is lean enough to start bulking. I am 19 yr/old, 68.5kg and 1.87m. On a cut I eat around 2400 calories and my macros are around 60/20/20. What do u think? I am ready to start bulking again? How do I go from cutting to bulking mode? http://i63.tinypic.com/2qnm9dv.jpg Thanks for everything, Dani

I know some of you are currently in the middle of a body transformation challenge, but for those who have come a long way from their previous self, we'd like to see some pics. Jonathan and I both have great stories (and photos) of being skinny and scrawny and transforming ourselves to gain 60-90 pounds and be quite strong and muscular. I've heard Will Peavy has a similar story, and to some extent, Topher was the same way. These images and stories have been pretty motivating for a lot of people. How about some of you who lost a lot of weight after going vegan and transformed yourself that way? I know you're out there. Whether you gained a lot of muscle or lost a…

http://imageshack.us/a/img811/9171/z2c4.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img689/6579/zzi9.jpg First picture is about a year before I went vegetarian and two years before I became vegan. I was 178 pounds (at 5'6") 24% bodyfat and had (poorly controlled) hypertension and type 2 diabetes. I lost a lot of weight (and probably a lot of muscle) when I first went vegan in January 2010. At the time I was not working out. At all. Diabetes and hypertension have vanished... ( ! ) 6 months ago I started putting on weight (while not being a perfect vegan). Fast forward to 2013. I discovered this site. Started eating CLEAN and working out. Couldn't really tolerate much more than wal…
