Potter sent me this: Hey Robert, I wanted to see if you could pass this along to the forum. This is what I posted on the Philly OrganicAthlete board: I went to my favorite Falafel place...Maoz Vegetarian...and one of the cooks said their falafel wasn't vegan(luckily I was wearing a vegan shirt) and nearly any falafel is not vegan because there is egg in the bread crumbs they use(they roll it in bread crumbs to coat the falafel). This is ridiculous. I'm gonna e-mail the company and say they should really put up a disclaimer...especially since its advertised as a vegetarian restaurant. I figure they'd expect a lot of their customer base to be vegan. They should either m…

I'm new to these message boards and would love to make some away-from-the-screen friends in this community. I don't have my own gym membership yet, but I am into bicycling and eating and cooking and cooking and cooking (not to mention I love to exchange/create recipes). I live downtown and don't have a car, but I have no problem biking all over creation. Anyone up for Blossoming Lotus or Vita Cafe? Oh also, I just came across some free passes to the Chinese Classical Gardens. I've never been. Wanna go? Brandon

http://www.tigardtimes.com/features/story.php?story_id=122652505394766300 “Some people call it vegan. We call it plant-based. We’re trying to remove the stigma of veganism,” Rick Asche says of the lifestyle he and his wife Gayle have been following for the last three years. Rick, who has a family history of heart disease, found himself struggling with his health and went from traditional doctors to naturopaths looking for a solution. Gayle says she had ongoing issues with weight gain, upset stomach and arthritis. Rick’s sister told the couple about the Hallelujah Diet, a plant-based and mainly raw diet based on Genesis 1:29. When Rick read an e-mail from Hallelujah Ac…

Hi! I'm (obviously) vegan and my wife is coeliac vegan. We are visiting New York, SF and Portland. We are trying to find a nice and reasonable priced hotel near some good vegan gluten-friendly places. So far, we have Jupiter Hotel and Ace Hotel ( http://www.acehotel.com/portland ) on our shortlist so far. Any suggestion?

I only have one question. What's the process and how long does the process take to become a Canadian citizen? I have my eyes set on Toronto because I visited their for a weekend in 1998 and I liked the city. My blood relatives live on the US east coast, however I'm open to moving to Western Canada. Also, I only speak English. I already have an A.A.S. degree and I should have a B.S. degree by Fall 2009-Spring 2010 academic year.

Hi, everyone. If any of you are in the Tempe, AZ area, there is a vegan owned and operated gym named Los Campeones to check out. Vegan Bodybuilding, Ryan Nelson, owns the gym. In the next town over, in Mesa, AZ, Will Tucker runs a plant-based fitness studio as well, named Will Tucker Fitness. So, if you're in the Phoenix Valley, you've got multiple options for vegan gyms.

I'm not a big party person (big surprise) but I will have some friends visiting town and I'm looking for some options. I'm not even sure where to begin. Last year I was in L.A. and went to the Playboy Mansion (but didn't get let in...wasn't on the list) and hung out at some parties. Normally I'd probably just sit at home, which is what I've done in years past and would likely do this year but since I have new forum member friends in town and others visiting town, I thought I'd find out what is going on in PDX this week. Ya heard?
