#1: Post exercise (recovery) Protein powder, oat, rice milk or liquid of choice, small palmful of grated raw nuts, 1 x tbsp powdered greens, 5g creatine and 5g Glutamine. ** Most people seem to know about the benefits of creatine - strength, recovery, brain health etc. The grated nuts add a little extra protein as well as providing some Omega 3 and antioxidants. Glutamine is often not given the credit it probably deserves, I feel that as a supplement it's fairly useful and has a number of benefits that aren't just exclusive to building muscle. Obviously there's the potential to improve lean muscle mass as it's mainly made and stored in the muscles (released from the …

OH wow....I got a juicer that has a "custard" attachment for making things like dairyless ice cream. Talk about AMAZING... Freeze a banana...put in through and it comes out smooth and creamy like soft serve ice cream. I also added frozen blueberries through the processor and WOW, it was like blueberry sorbet. The easiest, tastiest and actually healthy treat!!!!!!

Hey- Well the first brand of soy imitation-yogurt was awful, but thankfully the Silk tastes good and has the proper consistency, especially with wheat germ and dried cranberries. It might be kind of hard to find, luckily there is a whole-foods-type vegetarian and organic grocery store here in New Haven. Just thought I'd share this discovery.... Joel

I make this baked tofu recipe for my girlfriend all of the time because she is vegan too but is allergic to garlic and onions. Before we met, I put garlic and onions in just about all of my dishes. Ingredients: 1 package of extra firm tofu 2 teaspoons of powdered ginger 1 teaspoon of black pepper 1 tablespoon of tamari soy sauce 1 teaspoon of olive oil Set your oven to 400 F. Slice the tofu into about 12 quarter-inch think rectangular slices. Make the marinade of all of the rest of the ingredients and pour over tofu in a bowl. Let this sit for at least 15 minutes. I usually always have this marinading overnight in the refrigerator almost every day though. …

Needed items... 1 can of cut green beans 1 tomato 1 cucumber Italian dressing 1. Dice the tomato and throw in a bowl. 2. Open the can or green beans. Drain them; and throw them in. 3. Cut the cucumber every 1 inch give or take. The cut the cucumber pieces like you would a pizza, in 8 smaller slices. Then throw them in. 4. Add Italian dressing to flavor. I like to use the fat free dressing I think it makes the salad taste better but and Italian dressing will work. All done. Quick and good. I like to take this salad to parties, it has a very fresh and unique flavor.

It seems like a lot of folks here are interested in increasing the percentage of whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic plant foods in their diet. Thought I'd help out by posting some simple raw vegan recipes! I'll post more as I think of them, and others can feel free to post theirs as well, of course! Banana Ice Cream Cut bananas into chunks. Freeze. Process in food processor. It comes out like soft-serve ice cream. for a sweeter variation, blend in some soaked dates. This is a great way to get some healthy calories in! A Good Veggie Soup Blend: one orange (peeled), 3 celery stalks, 1 red bell pepper (seeded). I'll post more! I tend to just create them as…

Here is a really easy split pea soup recipe that I make all of the time and have on hand for busy days. 1.5 cups of split peas 1 onion 2 carrots 2 potatoes 2 celery ribs rolled oats or all purpose flour dill garlic powder bay leaf salt pepper 5-6 cups of water Ok, so dice all of the veggies and toss them in an oiled soup pot on medium heat. Add the split peas and water. Crank the heat up and let this come to a boil and then drop it to a simmer. Let that go for a while until the …

Been briefly playing around with making some high protein, low carb muffins and here what I have so far. Ingredients 1 cup soy flour 1 cup protein powder (I used a 70 pea/30 rice mix) 0.5 cup rolled oats 2 tsp baking powder 0.5 cup raisins 1 tsp sea salt 2 tsp cinnamon 0.5 cup Unsweetened applesauce 2 cups water Prep Mix dry ingredients together, then add wet ingredients and mix well. Don't need to follow "the muffin method" since there's no gluten. Put into a 12 muffin pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350 F. These are a little crumbly but hold together much better than earlier versions. Still working on them. The protein powder I used was vanilla flavored and s…

Hello, I have a website that I want to improve. To start with, I'm not happy with the design, which is outdated and doesn't fit the style. Please advise a reliable company that is engaged in refining sites. Thank you.

Apologies to Ben & Jerry's and any folks who are offended by animal names in recipes! Freeze a banana (peel it first and put it in a ziploc bag). Top with Hi-lo cereal and slivered almonds (or other nut of your choosing). Optional if you can afford the fat and sugar: chocolate Scrape the frozen banana with a spoon to get some frosty, sorbet-like banana...eat it with the hi-lo and almonds, and it's like you're having a banana-nut ice cream cone! And I'm sure it is even tastier with the chocolate! The preceding was taste-test approved by my omni husband, who generally doesn't like healthful food, either.

Ok, I know it' snot vegan, but I have a very simple recapie for a smoothie... actually I have two. one is vegan. 1) Non-vegan. 8oz of yogart, or 6 oz and some milk. In a blinder blend that with your choice of berries. 2) Vegan ONe fourth of those tofu packages. Blend in a blender (what'da ya know ?!) again with your choice of berries. Simple and pathetic I know, but my mom and I used to have them a couple years ago for breakfast.

Delicious stuff that I made today 340 gr peanut butter (natural, no oil or sugar) 1 tablespoon cacao 75 gr chocolate protein powder (I used soy) Vanilla (I used liquid shit but whatever is fine probably) 2 dl corn flakes (I used sugar free) Melt the PB and add the protein, cacao and vanilla. Mix. Add the corn flakes and mix/crush until everything sticks to the "dough". Mash it out in a container/plate/whatever and put it in the fridge for a while. Done!

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. Can you please suggest any protein or gainer which doesn't include milk, nuts, bananas, yeast or mustard because I'm allergic to those stuff. Things are pretty hard especially if you are vegan and having allergy issues as well. Thanks.

Eh, tofu is going way up in price, I could get Tempeh but the shop I know can't always get it in. Apart from lots of lentils and quinoa is there anything else we can have? Even if it's tofu styled burgers I don't care as long as it's something (and not majorly unhealthy)

So last night I invented a recipe, born of hunger, and the desire to use up my homemade seitan sitting in the fridge. I was kind of just estimating and sprinkling herbs and spices on it as it cooked, so the measurements might not be exactly what you need. First, I cut a chunk of seitan into three pieces, about chicken breast size. Then I put them in a skillet with a little olive oil. Next, I added some spices to the top of each chunk of setian. I turned them over and added some more spices. It was probably about 1/4 tsp of sage, 1/4 tsp rosemary, about 1/2-1 tsp each thyme, tarragon, and summer savory. Once they had simmered enough to dry out a little and brown on each …
