  1. you guys are smart so maybe you can help me I recently purchased a 100lb heavy bag (punching bag) and I'm a little concerned about my beam support. What is the best way to add additional support so my bag will not compromise the beams? i was thinking of just screwing in some extra beams on the side of the one i want to hang the bag from or having a beam from the floor to the one on the ceiling for support This is the current beam support I have: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x145/impete82/IMG_0188.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x145/impete82/IMG_0187.jpg any ideas? i really wanna beat the hell out of this bag, i see it starring at me, mocking me, and i just wanna put it in it's place

  3. i emailed the Toronto Vegetarian Association (veg.ca) about volunteering my services for the organization during an event or meet or whatever, and about a week later i get a reply saying they would be glad to have an official photographer for The 24th Annual Vegetarian Food Fair. no pay, but i don't care, it's experience, maybe i'll get a reference letter, and doing it for a kick ass organization. :D i'm so uber excited not sure if i'm 100% confirmed, but it sounds possible

Jumping rope: 30 minutes (rest for 1-2 minutes every 5 minutes) Ab wheel: 20 (from the knees 1/2 way, working up to full standing) Tire slams: 50 each side (with a stick, working up to a sludge hammer) Burpees: 14 man i suck, but being completely lazy to getting here is quite good for me figure i'll just update this when i do something significantly different, considering i did 20 minutes jumping rope and about 20 ab wheels last week, and this today, that pretty significant, kinda

  8. tonights episode ramsay made the chef's guess what was "wrong" about some meals he prepared. basically what was "wrong" is that the meat products were soy. so the chefs were eating and they were all guessing needs salt, something is off, or whatever, but essentially they couldn't tell the difference. see, i sometimes hear the vegan person say "it tastes the same", but it's a little biased, but when people like that can't tell the difference, then i really wonder why they still serve that meat crap if there's really no big difference *shrugs* i'll try to get a clip, but the episode just aired a couple hours ago can read a little about it here http://www.buddytv.com/articles/hells-kitchen/hells-kitchen-episode-47-recap-19342.aspx

  12. i tried sitting at the pc with a ball for a day, for me, it stressed my back too much because i have a shotty lower back, but i can handle on and off .... i don't see any problems unless you're hunched over the entire time, then it's a waste

  16. absoluetly loved it!!!!!!! just finished watching and i must say, it's probably one of my favorite marvel movies, alongside x-men, blade and spiderman. i can't really think of anything bad about it, except a couple aweful camera moments, or gwyneth running away from the iron monger as if she was going for a nice jog, but it really is one amazing flick. the story, the action, rdj, all top notch in this movie. i gatta say, i love the fire extinguisher robot, the dialoge the robot and tony have is priceless, when tony keeps telling him not to spray him unless he was on fire or he'll donate him to the college .... funny stuff
  17. ok so i love harvey's (a burger joint in canada, not sure if they're in the usa) but recently it was confirmed the buns have dairy in them on their site it says the burger patty has no dairy or eggs or whatnot, even the onion rings i emailed to ask, but the buns had a dairy allergy. i guess me being naive i assumed they put that on the site just in case they come in contact with some dairy product (which they have for fish on a bunch of the products even though they don't actually contain any fish) but apparently the buns actually have dairy. i could easily flip out, get mad, start writing emails, etc but i'm actually quite surprised how calm i am about it. btw, if anyone eats the veggie at harveys, apparently you can ask to use the buns from the chicken sandwich (which doesn't have dairy) but i haven't tried yet i'll let you know if they do it (i'll probably get some weird looks ... cant wait)
  18. i haven't been in this forum for too long, but the style hasn't changed once since .... now, does that mean mr robert likes this theme, or is it laziness? ..... i guess this post is for mr robert, ever think about updating the forum like you did the main site? (which looks better now)

  20. i cant wait for the tito fight ...... sooooo excited about this i remember when i first heard of tito, and i saw him knock a guy out like 10 seconds into the fight, ever since then he was my favorite ufc guy if that's not spectacular, what is?
  21. hear hear ... i was just about to same the same thing ...... just being mindful of where i am, what i'm doing actually helps quite a bit with anxiety and depression .... if you don't concern your mind with what already happened or what might happen and just be fortunate for the moment you are in, works miracles for me can i ask what you have anxiety about? because if it's stuff related to future events dealing with people like i get, i read something that really changed my thinking about that ..... i really wish i could remember where i read it (might have been "a new earth") but it said how being nervous is actually shellfish, because when you are nervous about a situation you are only thinking of only yourself .... say you're going out with people, instead think about how your nerves will affect the night or situation, if you think about the other people you are with and how you want to have a good time with them or whatnot, your nerves might disappear, i know it helps with mine at least
  22. ya Jon Favreau is a pretty decent director, never really pictured him doing that kinda stuff ..... i was actually pretty skeptic about iron man, but after all the videos i've seen i'm quite excited name one marvel movie that sucked ..... well, except daredevil, fantastic four, ghost rider, hulk, elektra, x3 .... name one ..... see you can't
  23. i never really understood why taking creatine is useful. it's not even real muscle your gaining, just a temporary boost. granted it works, and isn't really too dangerous, but if you stop taking the stuff and as quickly as you saw results you get a slump, i don't see how that's beneficial
