  1. Monday, May 15: Chest Night Flat Bench workout with 175# and 185# Barbell Incline and Decline on IsoLateral machines with 140# and 160#
  2. I haven't been keeping my log up to date for a couple months now. Time to start writing this stuff down again. Here is my current workout: I've been following the max-ot training system for a few weeks. There may be other names for it, but this is the basic idea: Choose a weight that you can do at least 4 reps but not more than 6 reps. Do 6 to 9 sets per muscle groups with various exercises. Work each muscle group once per week. I do more reps with less weight when I squat. In the 8 to 10 range. My knees make funny creaking noises when I squat or climb stairs. Sometimes there is a sharp pain also. So until they are stronger, I'll push them gently. I do 30 minutes of cardio on inclined treadmill before each weight workout. I prefer DB or BB for almost all lifting, not much machine work. Monday - Chest Flat Barbell Bench Press Incline and Decline Bench Press using iso-lateral machines. *I'm not comfortable doing inclined or declined by myself with a barbell. Tuesday - Legs and Abs Front Squats, I try to go very deep. Calf Raises Abs Wednesday - Biceps and Forearms DB Biceps Curls DB Hammer Curls Forearm Curls - both forward and reverse Gripper Work Thursday - Shoulders and Triceps Overhead Press Tricep Extensions - Cable or BB Upright Row Rear Delt Row Friday - Back Deadlift Assisted Pullups or Lat Pulldowns Shrugs Seated Rows Saturday and Sunday Recovery Days. When there isn't snow on the ground or raining I go for a hike in the mornings.
  3. Hurry please. We need more pictures of Alex, Gabe, Adrian, Robert and others.
  4. My experience is similar. I normally workout in the evenings. The next morning, those muscles are not sore, they just feel a little weak. By the following evening, 24 hours after the workout, I start to feel the soreness. The soreness usually lasts about 2 days.
  5. Welcome Kyle. I hear ya about the friends and family. My family and friends have been fairly supportive but not interested. You will find much support and help here. Dr. Fuhrman's book "Eat to Live" is a good book.
  6. I don't know who Eddy Gordo is, but he looks familiar http://www.huetheronline.org/vbb/gordo.jpg
  7. Wish that I could attend this, I've never been to one of these. But you are just a little too far away.
  8. I liked this article. I bookmarked his website. Thanks Bigbwii
  9. That sounds good Glenn, I'll dig out one of my Rush DVDs tonight.
  10. Bryan Adams - Live at Slane Castle - Ireland 2000 - DVD
  11. Those arms do look much better, natural and big. That's what I want my 43 year old arms to look like. Well maybe just a bit bigger
  12. They are called Rocky Mountain Oysters up here in Montana. Maybe Hitler had a different recipe though. I've never wanted to try testicles.
  13. Welcome Brian. You came to the right place, everyone is very helpful and supportive.
  14. I won't be making it to Vegan Vacation. My vacation time is used up when my dad comes to town to visit me in July. He's retired, lives on the road in his 5th wheel trailer, and stops in Billings for 3 weeks every summer. I already have the "itch" (to move there), my brother lives across the river in Vancouver.
  15. I believe that you can get truely raw oats. The regular oats that you buy in the store won't be raw though.
  16. Dang you Portland, no wait, that's a different thread. I'm just jealous, you guys are very lucky to have all the vegan locations. Someday I would like to move to that area. Is there room for one more? There is no such thing as a vegan meal in a Billings Montana restaurant. I need to order a regular meal with the animal parts removed.
  17. Daywalker got me into hi rep squats with that darn challenge he posted. Everything else that I do is low rep with as much weight as I can do. 50 reps with 85 pounds of deep squats make my legs sore and rubbery for 3 days.
  18. Night Court was one of my favorites way back then. Bull was my favorite character.
  19. That's a favorite comeback from a meat head who's trying to be funny. There's even a T shirt with a similar saying. http://www.huetheronline.org/vbb/godscreatures.jpg
  20. Paranoid is a classic album. I just had to dig it out one more time for a listen. http://www.huetheronline.org/vbb/sabbath8track.jpg
  21. G3 Live in Tokyo - DVD Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Steve Vai
  22. Brainy Kid In high school, you were acing AP classes or hanging out in the computer lab. You may have been a bit of a geek back then, but now you're a total success!
