  1. I really do not know that much about b12 besides a few videos and articles I have browsed, but I'm pretty sure the companies that produce b12 dont care too much about its quality.
  2. Not true...There are 4 types of b12..and more importantly cyancobalamin is not its natural state. Hydroxycobalamin is the natural state buts its $5 K more expensive a kilo, which is why drug companies settle for cyanacobalamin.
  3. I've never had a b12 blood test, and I'd like to believe my levels are good. How long have you been vegan and what foods are most important in your diet for b12? Vegan since August 2006. Supplemental pretty regulary, sometimes soy/rice milk. Which supplements do you use? I am currently using Whole Foods Sublingual B12, and really want to switch because of all the bad things im hearing about cyancobalamin (like it slows down blood cell production or something)

  5. I mean NPR and Democracy Now are quality news programs, but to get pumped up for working out?? On the other hand, techno is great for working out!!
  6. I've tried just about every milk there is... and this is my favorite...straight or mixed! Living Harvest Hempmilk Vanilla http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prmenbr=655972&prrfnbr=950031
  7. The only meal I tend to eat that is considered "complete" is breakfast. My typical breakfast is Oats(hopefully organic Irish Oats, but varies) with 1tsp Cinnamon, no sugar though(agave nectar once before). I add golden raisins, 2 types of nuts (usually almonds and walnuts), 3 types of cut fruit (usually simple ones that are yellow, red or orange), 2 tsp flax seed, 3/4th hot water, 1/4 hemp milk w/ herbal tea. I am more than satisfied and feel great everyday after this breakfast.
  8. Eat around 500-600 calorie meals every 2 -3 hours, and really focus on healthy fats, put NUTS in EVERYTHING. If you eat cooked food, use COCONUT OIL. Focus less on steady cardio and fast paced lifting and more on speed interval training and slower, bulking lifting movements.
  9. Whats so great about hard surfaces? I am totally spoiled when it comes to a good mattress. When I was more deeply involved in Buddhism, I slept on the floor for a week to work on giving up certain attachments, but all I got was an achy back!
  10. http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22535838-5012895,00.html I've got it spin both ways, but mostly goes clockwise for me!
  11. When I sleep on my side, its like 80% of the time on the right, 20% left...unless i had a CRAZYYYYY night then my right side is were my feet are, my head is were my arms should be, one foot is in the air and the other under my chest. hah
  12. Does anyone here have an issue that sleeping on their back has helped fix? I have a minor "condition", nothing serious, that requires sleeping on my back, but even if I am lucky enough to fall alseep on my back I wake up on my side or chest.
  13. Mind if I step in and grab this one.... They were the size of pants that were made pre 90s (I believe) for kids. Sizes were Slim Fit, Regular Fit, and Husky Fit. I think along with the length of pants and size of waist it was these additional "fits" for the thighs of the pants. I remember being a Regular Fit and as a kid thinkin that Husky was for overweight kids. Kids would make fun of other kids who wore the "Husky" pants. Its weird how kids can be so cruel sometimes. Update: Scratch that pre 90s comment, just did a google search and THEY STILL MAKE THEM! What the!? I thought that term fell off the PC planet! Husky Pants You just reminded me of something totally random.. I dont know if you watch the series Weeds on Showtime, but one of the characters does commercials for Huskaroo's, a fat kid clothing company. Its so f'd up how we are catering to overweight and obese children. I really wish stores would stop making clothes so big, so fat kids have to wear small clothes. The embarrassment then would save the ridicule as they get older.
  14. Thanks so much, you are too kind, but I've gotta ask what the heck are Huskies?
  15. I agree with what you're saying, condiments are so unnecessary and serve very little nutritional purpose... but I'd rather have someone using soy sauce on vegan food than meat and dairy WITHOUT soy sauce, other condiments.
  16. A yummy... VEGAN happy meal with soy yogurt almonds, walnuts raisins, apples, pears, oranges, bananas, grapes, strawberries, cinnamon & flax seed meal. 50% organic. Click to enlarge http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/3060/174245bz0.th.jpg Would this be a complete meal, or am I missing any important nutrients? This was my 5th and last meal of the day. I was super stuffed after this....sorry if I posted in the wrong section P.S How can I post this bigger pictures in here ?
  17. It does feel good, but I wish I had more support that isnt the internet or myself.
  18. I think it is dangerous for people with detoxicified system's. I have yet to do any valuable research on MSG, but its not natural and has many side affects even on people who's system can take it. Age is not a determinant in health, and your mothers grandmother probably ate much better than people do now. MSG combined with bad modern eating habits = unhealthy people, regardless of how long they live. If the companies dont post every ingredient thats in the food than you know something is up. MSG wont kill us, but most people that eat MSG regularly also put tons of other crap in their mouth. Im almost positive there's a correlation.
  19. My after pictures which i took just 2 days ago, were at 179 (my weight in middle school! )
